The Defqon.1 Theatre is a concept we’ve been working on for more than 9 months. It has been a very intense and creative collaboration that originated from the desire to create something truly unique and memorable. Due to this intimate setting, we can host around 1000 people per day, only about 2% of daily visitors. To make sure that everyone who wants to come actually comes, we felt it was necessary to raise the entry barrier by asking for a reservation fee. It would be a shame to have empty seats and tables while other fans miss out on a spot. We would never consider this for a regular area. We understand that some of you feel that this might be the only way to see Sefa at Defqon.1. Don’t worry: we won’t leave you hanging. There will be multiple moments throughout the weekend to see Sefa outside of the Theatre. One of those moments will be at a certain ceremony on the final day of madness. Reservations for Defqon.1 Theatre presents: Sefa will go on sale tomorrow (May 27th) at 13:00 CEST via the Q-dance app, exclusively for DEDIQATED Members. The regular sale starts on June 10th. Regular tickets are 15 euros, and DEDIQATED Members will have a 5-euro discount.
Just put him on the Red stage where everybody can see it… We already pay hundreds of euros and it’s totally worth it… But this looks like milking your fans

The concept is really cool and I like Sefa, so I'm going to be mild in my comment but a lot of people within the hardstyle community fear that this sets a precedent for future events regarding 'DLC's'. Ofcourse we already have VIP packages and other upgrades, but actually wanting to see an artist perform should not be locked behind an extra ticket in my honest opinion. This is considerably different than having a access to a slightly better stage or camp site. So yes, I like the creativity and I have nothing against Sefa or Q-Dance, but for a lot of people it feels like a money grab and they are afraid for the future of events regarding this. Would be great if Q-Dance replies to this sentiment and provides the fans with some feedback and perhaps promises for the future. defqon1 the tomorrowland under the harder styles festival… glad that i rather go to DnB Festivals where you dont get animated to pay a lot for ,,exclusive,, experiences, gold member stuff, where you still have the underground vibe to be part of an scene, the music and not a trend. Hardstyle becoming to an totally soulless Genre for Event People like tomorrowland or edc… all about the💰
I liked his old sets where it was just kick after kick. I don’t like his new one as he’s just playing piano mostly. I understand that things change and that’s why I don’t go to any of his sets anymore so this isn’t a issue. Best set as far was last year when he hosted the dynamite stage at intents. My honest opinion is that sefa has become maybe to big for his own purposes. Honestly you don’t have to always do something no one’s ever done. I also see it as a lazy cash grab attempts at already the most expensive festival in this scene.
I totally agree with you. It's just my opinion and it may sound a bit degrading but I see any attempt to "elevate" dance music as pretentious. We are supposed to rave with it, not to feel epic and shit.
