Hey so I'm really REALLY glad to say, I just got this laptop last week for my 18th birthday and Im really amazed by it, I'd like to thank this video as being one of my top reasons for picking this up and actually showing gaming performance instead of just numbers on a board as well as explaining the pros and cons!
Asus has been kicking all kinds of ass with their gaming machines in the price to performance spectrum. I've been loving my G14 since I got it last year.
How's the heat on the g14? I keep hearing it gets insanely hot, so I'm considering going with the g15 instead... but I really want the smaller form factor of the g14...
I'm not forcing this but I have the most true important information/fact to tell you that you need to believe in. We all are sinners and we must get punished for all of our sins by spending eternity in hell, but God sent Christ, his only Son to take the penalty for all of our sins instead by dying on the cross to save us from going to hell and so we can have eternal life with Christ and God in his kingdom. On the third day after Christ died, Christ rose back from the dead. Christ ascended to heaven and he will come back for his chosen ones and take them to heaven.

@@zZKableZz yeah, I expect it will be warm to the touch is when gaming or running heavier software, have you happened to check the gpu/cpu temps when it got noticeably warm? Appreciate the response!
hi men, what do you think about this laptop? i bought this at 2 weeks ago and I'm no totally sure about the performance but I pay 1146$ so i think is a good range-price
Great review as always. Aside from the amazing GPU, its CPU actually is a bit middling. It's only a quad-core i7, Tiger Lake notwithstanding. There are games that actually will be held back by a quad-core. In 2021, you shouldn't have anything less than six cores in a $1000+ laptop unless it is a 2-in-1 or a tablet PC. My recommendation is to wait for the eight-core Ryzen 5000 and Tiger Lake laptops to come.
It has 3 heat pipes as far as I could see, so cooling is a llttle better than the entry level gaming ones. Plus, this CPU is only 4C/8T, which means less heat than a 6/12 (the ideal imo) for example.
It's also designed with lower wattage settings like the graphics card itself and the i7 it has is also fairly low wattage. It's why the battery lasts so long it's a efficient machine. Most reviews I have watched stated the temps range from the surface of 64 to 85 at the higher end games. To me it sounds like it handles hest excellently for a machine working as hard as it does. If you're that worried, grab a cooling pad.
Wow im early for once. Well goodjob on the video and i will keep watching this on my beast of a laptop, 5-6 year old intel atom with 2gb ddr3 using 32gb emmc with most of my games stored on a micro sd card.
Do you use it for work purposes? (such as creative cloud, Unreal & Blender) I've been trying to look for a decently specced laptop that will run those programs smoothly; I know that Blender and Unreal are both very intensive programs. I would get a PC but I move around + I don't have a desk at the moment where I could put it, so it's inconvenient.
Just picked this one up today. Got a really good price on it. Only thing I don't like is it doesn't have a webcam do now I gotta carry one with me. Solid laptop though. I'm coming from the XPS 15 and this not worse than that.
1:35 I guess I'm the minority. I love when the WASD (and arrow keys) are different colors. I'm still using a 6 year old (~$50 at the time) Logitech G105 Keyboard for my PC because the WASD and arrow keys are silver while the rest of the keys are black. I can easily afford to upgrade (no problem spending $200 for one), but no modern gaming non mechanical keyboard has those keys in a different color. I've only seen ones from Wish or ebay, obviously not buying those..
I had to pick up a new laptop a month ago (my old one suffered a catastrophic crash) and this one of my options... But it was exactly that CPU and not having a full keyboard way from it in the end. Got the new model of the TUF A15 with a Ryzen 7 5800H instead and honestly, it's a beautiful beast.
Just bought the 2022 version with the 12 Gen and DDR5 memory on Prime day. I knew if it was better than this one and at the price it's offered at today, then this was the laptop for me. Would be nice for a comparison video, but doubt you want to buy another one. LOL

Subscribed…what a thorough review so nice to see someone actually play multiple games and give such a great in depth review
apparently asus thinks pc gamers dont know where the WSAD keys are located by pure instinct
It's just style brah
the textured keycaps do help grip cause its also tilted and very nice keyboards have that textured design so Im not complaining
As a new PC gamer, it helps a heckin ton
Reminds me of the light up piano keyboards that show you how to play along with the songs. 😝
what so hard about locating the wsad keys, i haven’t used a computer since i was 6, now i’m 14 and still pretty confident about this, just a minor inconvenience that i don’t have a computer or even laptop
just got this laptop with RTX 3060 really happy :)
GTA V NPCs: ah sh* here we go again
I remember you once I was watching your video I remembered by seeing your intro
Was considering this and the Nitro 5 AN515 55 537A, I'm glad you actually did the upgradibility and teardown because i just realized this only have M.2 Slot while the nitro have m.2 and sata
well this got 2x m.2 slots
Just got ordered one in white for £800
Love mine so far! Bought a 2tb nvme ssd to add to it as well.
how the hell did you install your NVME??????????????? mine will not show up anywhere in management even plugged it into my desktop and worked FINE once i put optane/raid mode, but theres NO option to to change from ACHI to raid mode? how did you do it lol XD?
How* does it handle heat management after 2mo with it? I’m a heavy gamer & im wary of getting a laptop that may overheat & degrade over time. 😩
@@blushface been good so far, running demanding games. It does get a little warm to the touch, but not bad. I usually run a cooling pad for my laptops because I have a traveling job and want to make it last.
@@zZKableZz yeah, I expect it will be warm to the touch is when gaming or running heavier software, have you happened to check the gpu/cpu temps when it got noticeably warm? Appreciate the response!
@@blushface at this moment I dont have really have numbers, but I can get some the next time I fire it up.
Bought it today, can't wait to try it out!
Me too
Got it going yesterday, I'm excited!😃
Hey can you try valorant and update us with how much fps it can give?
hi men, what do you think about this laptop? i bought this at 2 weeks ago and I'm no totally sure about the performance but I pay 1146$ so i think is a good range-price
1100 dollars? About half the price of a RTX3060 card. Good deal!
Nurf will occur when it comes to a laptop instead of a computer’s specs.
@@yl4914 laptop is a computer lol
Omg this is so tempting to buy to upgrade my laptop to an RTX from my GTX 1650
Hey nice review, i have a question is warzone at the highest settings or can it go more?
Good review. I’m so tempted in buying this. I saw a used one for $999
Congrats on the new laptop! Asus sure can make some sweet machines.
houd je bek man
Very detail and very good review... Why can't every review be like you ?
I really need the emulation video on this laptop
Well, why wait? They are cheaper now and are more than enough for the casual gamer. Thank you Asus! Also thanks for the review!
Yeah 4 cores really turned me off it seems I gotta take it off my list (
The new version has more cores now
When he said "RTX" I rlly thought the PC was about to blow up
6:04 look at that cpu usage 😂
not breaking a sweat lol

I wanted this soo badly but it's sold out already
@Garrus Vakarian Is it out already or is it yet to come out?
@@greekgodaesthetic6375 Not yet, but I already got MSI GF65 3060
@Garrus Vakarian And with Webcam, that’s very important to me. And also with small keyboard
@@carbondioxide2882 Im thinking of just getting this config since it's more then enough for any game to run at 60fps
Outstanding machine for the money. Performance is outstanding for a 4c 8t laptop. Feels snappier than my G14 w 4900hs....
You said nothing about temperature of cpu and gpu. I don't believe in 65-70 c temp on cpu. maybe first 5 min but then its probably 85-95.
No this laptop has really good cooling it stays at 65-75 maybe 83 at max for temps but other than that it’s a cool laptops
And lets end this video with.. " I want it!!! "
Thank u so much ETA you're all the way the best in reviews!
Could you do an emulation test for this laptop?
I gotta say I got this laptop for 900$ and it has blown my mind I’d highly recommend it I average 150fps on high for every game I play
A+
Do you use it for work purposes? (such as creative cloud, Unreal & Blender) I've been trying to look for a decently specced laptop that will run those programs smoothly; I know that Blender and Unreal are both very intensive programs. I would get a PC but I move around + I don't have a desk at the moment where I could put it, so it's inconvenient.
Fun fact: a laptop 3060 can be more powerful than a 3070 due to lesser power draw restrictions.
Not this one though
Nope
no
Just picked this one up today. Got a really good price on it. Only thing I don't like is it doesn't have a webcam do now I gotta carry one with me. Solid laptop though. I'm coming from the XPS 15 and this not worse than that.
Please emulation video on this , I'm still waiting. Thatnks a lot
a white backlit would be much better, its nice that ASUS removed the numpad since its useless in a gaming laptop
Waiting for the giveaway results
Me too
same
God i Hope i won
how do we see the results

1:35 I guess I'm the minority. I love when the WASD (and arrow keys) are different colors. I'm still using a 6 year old (~$50 at the time) Logitech G105 Keyboard for my PC because the WASD and arrow keys are silver while the rest of the keys are black.
I can easily afford to upgrade (no problem spending $200 for one), but no modern gaming non mechanical keyboard has those keys in a different color. I've only seen ones from Wish or ebay, obviously not buying those..
EMULATION TESTS, sorry what I meant to say is please do Emulation tests please 😁

TUFs are terrible
Sure, "terrible", but I can't buy a Razer Blade, for example. It's simply not sold in my country. Everyone works with what they can find and afford.
Can you put different colors at the same time independently on the keyboard?
Nope, u cant
Just bought the 2022 version with the 12 Gen and DDR5 memory on Prime day. I knew if it was better than this one and at the price it's offered at today, then this was the laptop for me. Would be nice for a comparison video, but doubt you want to buy another one. LOL
