- Hymn text by Edward Perronet alt. John Rippon set to the hymn tune by James Ellor, DIADEM. Setting by Sterling Procter. Joshua McClure, organist.
All hail the power of Jesus' Name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown him, crown him, crown him,
And crown him Lord of all.
Ye seed of Israel's chosen race,
Ye ransomed of the fall,
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
And crown him, crown him, crown him,
And crown him Lord of all.
Let ev'ry kindred, ev'ry tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,
To him all majesty ascribe,
And crown him, crown him, crown him,
And crown him Lord of all.
O that with yonder sacred throng
We at his feet may fall;
We'll join the everlasting song,
And crown him, crown him, crown him,
And crown him Lord of all.
Performed at "Join To Sing The Great Salvation" a worship service serving as the graduate conducting recital of Michael Devine for the Luther Seminary/St. Olaf College Master of Sacred Music program.
May 7, 2012 Boe Memorial Chapel, St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN
“Flowers and grass fade away, but what our God has said will never change.” (Isaiah 40:8)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16
I am but a sinner. Hymnals like these bring tears to my eyes in the knowledge that despite my numerous atrocities, the power in that name JESUS cleanses me of them all. Thank you Jesus!
Ok
Imagine people of all nations, tribes, color and race, united giving praises to the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!!!
Heaven on earth total happiness
Jesus is the only one savior in the universe.
There is nothing more holy and sacred than to hear the opening hymn with the CONGREGATION and the CHOIR singing and in the background the POWERFUL PIPE ORGAN ringing out with power, praising God in song!!!! Glory!!!! Glory!!!
I'm pretty convinced this song is sung in heaven too :o)
All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ Name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all!
Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race,
Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all!
Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,

Oh, that with yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song,
And crown Him Lord of all!
O Christ bless us and sanctify us and redeem us from all sin and evil.
Edward Perronet who wrote this was known as an excellent preacher and a friend of John Wesley. Once when Wesley stood to preach he looked at Edward and announced to the congregation "Mr. Perronet will preach today." Perronet mounted the pulpit, declaring he would deliver the greatest sermon ever preached, and proceeding to read Christ's "Sermon on the Mount"; after which, he immediately sat down. :-)
This hymn was a part of a service I put together to serve as my conducting recital for the Master of Sacred Music program at Luther Seminary and St. Olaf College in Minnesota. The service was held in Boe Memorial Chapel on the campus of St. Olaf.

these are the songs we as christians should be listening to, for they bring us close to the holy spirit
Lord Jesus, you are my Creator and redeemer who suffered and died for me. How can I ever thank you enough? I surrender myself to you and call you my Lord and Saviour. You as God and Creator has touched the depth of my being and has transformed me into your eternal possession! Let your name be praised for ever and ever!
Dear Jitloa,
How ?
.
Don't moan on about it all the time.
In Christianity the sins are forgiven.
.
You don't have to thank Jesus all the time, like folk in some religions must do with their saviour.
.
Go out and spread the word; quit moaning.

latrinenazi
If you cannot "moan" in sheer awe about what you have been given, you will not be able to effectively tell people what you've been given.
latrinenazi jitloa told you: by simply calling out to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, in total surrender.
Now this is true royalty music - to the REAL King of all Kings!
Jesus Christ.. King of the universe!!!!!!
Praise the Heavenly Father in Jesus name
I am simply transported to the heaven.
The simple way to hear heavenly hymn on earth.

This great hymn. I was once in an African-American church in Chicago where the organist intentionally did not play the third verse and the congregation sang all the parts splendidly. The organist then played an interlude took the hymn up one half step and we all sang to the glory of God!
woke up with this song in my head
One of my favorite hymns! Beautiful!!
Have no words to express this Eternal Song..... It is 'The Most Favourite Song for Our Lord Jesus CHRIST Himself'. Will be defintely sung&tuned by Heavenly Choir when Our Jesus CHRIST returns as King of kings & Lord of lords.
yes brother , saying with enormous FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, SURELY THIS SONG WILL BE SUNG WHEN our JESUS CHRIST RETURNS AS KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS
Best version of this song I've heard. Awesome!
I know people who saw Jesus on the Cross when they were singing in the spirit and his shoulders were strengthened by the praise. So as He encompassed all time and times in the Passion we can make a difference to his sufferings. Think of it !!
Wonderful and moving. This version was played at my United Methodist Church this past Sunday and I absolutely loved it!
Yes Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The only King of Glory., 🙏
So beautifully sung
I always get goosebumps whenever I hear this
Praise the LORD!
Powerful rendition of one of the most beautiful Christian hymns!
Cravo G. Silveira That tune is one of the greatest hymn tunes ever written.
+Bill Chambers - I agree. And this has a special meaning to me. It brings back memories of my beloved parents and sisters.
Cravo G. Silveira I agree Love the Brass!!! I wonder how this sounds with a Salvation Army band playing it?
This music raises the soul and pushes to meditate. What a great melody ! Thank you for the one who composed it, and let the name of the Almighty God be glorified.
Thank you for adding the lyrics so that we can join in and sing along, praising our Heavenly Father.
Great worship hymn.
To God be the glory.
It just does not get any better than this. The ORGAN, and ORGANIST, with the choir and congregation singing. Absolutely wonderful, beautifully done. Give that ORGANIST a
congressional metal of honor. Listen the the last stanza. Superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
