You'd never guess it from this song but, they are a "rock" band. So If you're going to do Extreme, you absolutely must do "Play With Me" and "Get The Funk out". 2 bangers that are straight fire!! 🔥
Don't forget hole Hearted that was on the Pornograffitti album with this and Get the Funk Out.
😂😂😂I posted the exact same thing! But for the live versions!
Some of the hardest rockers, have the most beautiful love songs ❤ The meaning in this song resonated with so many, & this song will never grow old ❤ A subtle way to say, *"TALK IS CHEAP"*
Nuno Bettencourt ❤ That’s all I can say.
Perfect harmonization!!🎶🎼🎵🎹🎤🎧🎸🥁🤘🔥🔥
This song is from my high school years. It’s very deep. I have always said that love should be a verb. Show love, don’t just talk it. Words can easily be a lie, but your actions speak volumes.
I'm 54 now but I was a teenager when this song came out. I actually forgot about it. I remember turning the radio while I got ready for school and hearing this song. Thank you for reminding me of a great song. It's going on my play list now. You doing a great job. Keep it up.
Hole Hearted should be next on the list for the great acoustic guitar and goosebump inducing harmony vocals. Thanks brother for another great reaction video.
I totally agree. My favorite Extreme song
DEFINITELY!!🥰🔥🎶
This is such a beautiful song. So glad you liked it. ❤🎼
PLEASE PLAY SEVEN NATION ARMY BY WHITE STRIPES..ALSO PENTATONIX WITH DOLLY PARTON SINGING JOLENE OMG I CAME ACROSS A BAND ALL KIDS FROM THE SAME FAMILY WHO🎵🎶
ROCK CALLED LILIAC THEY ARE AMAZING CHECK OUT THE RENDITION OF OF HOLY DIVER AND DEFINATELY 2CELLOS DOING AC/ DCS THUNDERSTRUCK AND THESE ALSO BONJOVI LIVING ON A PRAYER AND SWEET CHILD OF MINE...
CONSIDER IT A LAST REQUEST CAUSE I GOT THIS PESKY LITTLE BRAIN TUMOR THATS GROWING FASTER THAN THE DOCTORS WOULD LIKE AND AS USUAL YOU ROCK😍🤙
This was they guy I had a crush on in high school’s favorite song. Always brings a smile to my face when I hear it.
Extreme. Get the funk out !!!!! Great song
I just love this song. Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt (on guitar) harmonize so beautifully together. You will probably be surprised when you listen to other songs by Extreme because they are a rock/metal band. Hole Hearted, Get the Funk Out, and Play With Me are other 90's songs by them. They released a new album this year. After 30+ years they still sound great. Here's the link for "Hurricane", another beautiful song which to me has the soft rock feel and harmonizing of "More Than Words":

Since you were really into this song, you might want to check out the guitar player, Nuno Bettencourt, singing it with Steven Tyler (Aerosmith). It is magical!
Jimmy Fallon and Jack Black did a cover of this song that's not bad
I love your analysis of this song. Your reactions are always deep and on point. I had this song on repeat when it came out. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you!
“Uh oh” … you knew you were in trouble from the start!! 😂
One of the best songs ever recorded !
The song puts me in mind of the Everly Brothers (because of their perfect harmony) you should check k out their song “Long time gone”
Definitely gives love a different perspective 🥰 You caught that immediately! Great reaction
Need to check out "Get The Funk Out!" by Extreme.
I went to the homecoming dance with the girl i really wanted to take to prom, but it didn't work out that way unfortunately. But at prom, i walked up to her and told her that she meant a lot to me. Fast forward to her birthday a month after graduation, i go to her house and i serenaded this song and asked if she would reconsider getting back with me, that i had broken up with the girl i took to prom and that all i could think about was her. The gesture worked beautifully, she dumped the other dude the next day and she said that she was hoping that i would ask her back. We dated for a while, on and off for a couple years and eventually time and other life circumstances took our paths in separate ways. After all these years at least i wont regret going after her and serenading her this song that we first kissed at our homecoming dance.
♥️🥹
Gary Cherone. The Van Halen singer that you never heard sing w VH.😊
Always love your reactions
I think you'd really appreciate Shai - If I Ever Fall In Love (acapella version) too.
A massive hit in the early 90's
❤❤❤❤ this song
I really like this song, but I don’t know any of their other music. What I do know is their guitar player, Nuno?, is considered by other guitarists to be in class by himself.
❤ Love this song.My brother bought me the cd when it first came out.
Check out “Live from Daryl’s House” with Cello Green, the song will be “I can’t go for that”
I think it depends on who that person is and also the type of love you are wanting to express. There are some people I like to hear those words from over more showy forms of expression .Mostly what I like is a good balance between the both, showing and telling.'Telling' is the definite answer to affirm that leaves no doubt, but it is also a very abused saying, and so can lose its effectiveness ,its over-all feeling if it is your go to phrase!
It is a great song and maybe a great eye opener to all of us who rely on just saying the words 'I love you',and think they have done enough.
You have to check out Whole Hearted it’s my favorite.
Song Suggestions:
Taste Of Honey - Boogie Oogie Oogie
Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Shout, Head Over Heels
Teena Marie - Lovergirl
Temple Of The Dog - Hunger Strike
The Temptations - My Girl
Terence Trent D'Arby - Wishing Well
It's SO stripped back, they are a rock band but this has only 2 of them in it ❤️❤️
Hey Shon! Extreme is basically a ROCK band with a mixture of styles.
Give a chance to their show at Wembley for Freddy Mercury. One of the best tributes that could be made to Freddy. 10/10
The Freddy Mercury Tribute concert is excellent!!❤️
Ive always loved this song....
One of my favs from back in the day! 🥰
this whole album is amazing...
Grew up listening to this ❤
You loving the “tap” make me think you’d really appreciate Rodrigo y Gabriela, an acoustic guitar duo that melds rock, metal, and flamenco. Both are fabulous musicians and use the guitar as melody and percussion. Gabriela especially rocks out using her guitar for rhythm.
Try
Diablo Rojo
Tamacún
Stairway to Heaven (cover)
They’ve won a Grammy and been involved in some movie soundtracks, like one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Enjoy!
You won’t know it by listening to this song, but that is one of the best guitarists ever! Check out the live version of Get the Funk Out they did in Boston! Amazing! Play with me is also a banger!
It's called a percussive strum or muted strum. What they're doing is muting those strings, and quickly strumming or tapping them.
Love needs no words - you'll feel it! :) *hugs_from_germany
Strange fact: when I heard your reaction and words ... i don't know: the very next thing came into my mind was the song "Aswad - Shine" ... haven't heard it like 20 years or so. Maybe you want to check it out, too!? I'll listen to it right away now! Idon't know why! *shine
Love Your Channel!! HAPPY NEW YEARS!! WISHING YOU AN AMAZING PROSPEROUS 2024!!
Woah!! Thank you so so much! Happy New Year to you as well and let’s have a great year! Much love🫶🏽
🔥🔥🔥🌲🌲🌲
Shon a little bit of love can go a long, long way.
If you look at your own self 5 years ago, & look at yourself today, would you have believed you would see the world through the same eyes?
🤗😇
Awesome reaction i love this song.
Yet another enthusiastic reaction from Shon- the Naked Reactor!
❤❤❤❤❤!
Goosebumps, every time hearing this song. 😍😍🎶🎶🎶
So glad you checked this out, as I was sure you would love it after that Mr. Big reaction. A great song, by a great band.
Fun fact. Gary Cherone was a member of Van Halen for one very average album.
An acoustic guitar and some harmony singers……..dude….all day with this kinda stuff. No help,no auto tune- talent. Watch them do “ Hole in my heart “ live. You’ll see…enjoy❤️🎶❤️
Okay, it's time to "Get The Funk Out" with Extreme. Ya got to see the other side. Lol. And I LOVE your reactions, but all you might get out of me is a cup of coffee, a concert ticket to see a reaction artist you enjoyed, and possibly an uncomfortable bro hug. 🤣
Mike Myers did a great rendition in Love Guru.😅
Check out whole hearted by them. Its great
I always thought this was a “put out or get out” song. 😂
Brings me to hear, Aranda Still in the dark. Give it a listen.
I think you're thinking of harmony! This is one of my favorites. Their voices definitely blend well. ❤
❤❤
Well you finally got around to some real goods.
NICE!
What up young tyrone magnus 😂😂😂
I love your reactions ❤🎉 And yes, the tap is an underrated feature, I agree. I feel like one of my favorites, Jenny Lewis, uses it effectively. The only song I can think of at the moment is Acid Tongue, but I feel like she's done it in other songs. Anyway, you might like her/that song
Gorgeous song! Enjoyed your reaction Shon :)
You have to check out their song "Get the Funk Out" next!
check out the video, Extreme "He-Man Woman Hater (Live)" from Pornograffitti Live 25, it starts with Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee 🤘
They’re Extreme. Not N’Sync! 😂 Glad you liked it, man. Great tune!
I don't think he was comparing them to N'sync, he was saying they were in sync. That's where the boy band got the name.
@@alleyoop2681 It was a joke! Perhaps too subtle, but still a joke. 😂✌️
lol! XD
I think the tone of how they sing the song is important too. This song could have been song with much more force, and loud instrumentation, but that would have made it feel much less like a gentle person is asking someone to listen, and make the change. Many songs leave an ultimatum, while this one holds out it's hand to lead the way. Love it.
This song always reminds me of my teenage years at school.
For another thought provoking song with great vocals, musicians, meaning and overall performance I’d highly recommend:
PAOLO NUTINI
“Iron Sky” - live Abbey Road
👍🏼💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🏻🇬🇧
It IS a "pretty" song. And I don't use that adjective often. But its the only one i have for the song. 💯🤣
Flashback...
You absolutely must watch Jack Black and Jimmy Fallon do their version of this song. It was almost better than the original. It was a tonight show skit they did. Seriously, watch it.
Do their song "Get The Funk out" next, it's totally different! And this song caused their album to be the most returned album while I was working in a music store, so many people bought it thinking all their music was this laid back. 😂
❤
Great song!! Check out the awesome cover by Frankie J. 🔥
U should always put more importance into action then words. Words r easy actions on the other hand.....
A Lot of bands harmonize but not in rap!! But You're Right It Sounds GREAT🙏😇
You have a really nice mix of different music reactions, but I didn't see any Punk! If you get a chance, check out "Personality Crisis" by The New York Dolls. A great song by a legendary band.
Check out Hole Hearted
Go down the Extreme rabbit hole. Lots of great songs, but don't expect this to be the style they adhere to. they are a hard rock band with a coupe soft hits.
Get the funk out….live…….check it out
If I’m not mistaken the one wrote this about the other ones wife
🔥what would you say
🙂I’d already know♥️
pls react to sebastian bach - by your side
It must be hot in your house... you ❤never have a shirt on.😂
Lose the twilight lights
Thanks
Alright so now u have to react to Jack Black and Jimmy Fallon's version...
SILVERCHAIR please!!!!!!???? Israel's Son, Freak, Anthem for 2000.
American flags Tom MacDonald
Not as good as your intro Sean not
Average South American Latinos of the 1990ies with long hair and the vibe of womanizers. Boring.
What? Gary Cherone is from Boston and I believe Italian American and Nuno Bettencourt was born in Portugal. That’s European descent and they were both raised in Boston Massachusetts. They were in a metal band called Extreme that originated in Boston. Cherone’s vocals are one of the best in rock genre and Nuno travels with guitar royalty in Guitar Monsters concert tours. He’s one of the best out there. Your stereotypical assumption based on no facts and that’s what’s boring.
Don't watch.❤😊
And get your facts straight. Fool.
DUUUUUDE love your reactions ....also check out HE MAN WOMEN HATER ...HAPPY HOLIDAY AND MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁
