Gary Cherone is the vocalist and Nuno Bettencourt is the guitarist and singing harmonies. They have another track called ‘Hole Hearted’ that’s acoustic also. Fun fact: Gary Cherone sang for Van Halen for a minute a few years ago.

In my opinion,More than words is Extreme's best song.Gary Cherone singing lead and Nuno Bettencourt Harmony and guitar.And I absolutely agree with Pamela Scott.Jeff Healy,Angel Eyes.He has passed away now from eye cancer.
I was 15 when this came out, I had this recorded on a cassette, along w/ Mr. Big - To Be With You, both songs over, and over again...lol...yeah I'm way old now...it's so great when you can listen to a song and it takes you back to those wonderful memories, and yes I also agree w/ the others Angel Eyes - The Jeff Healey Band

I LOVE seeing newbies react to songs I enjoyed as a teen! This is a great example of flatfoot singing! We used to gather and sing this song as LOUD as we could. Soul music! This song will never grow old!

Love it. Just two guys singing with only a guitar. How simple how wonderful. This is something you can't fake your way through. You have to have a singing talent to do this. One thing is for sure. I'll bet the ladies were chasing both of them down the street after this.

I remember this being played on the radio back in the day. It was so DIFFERENT from the rock that was usually played. So this song became very popular. And it still sounds beautiful today.
You would absolutely love Seven Bridges Road by The Eagles.
Home-free covers it but, if you like the harmonizing with only an acoustic guitar, the Eagles version is outstanding!
Home Free's an excellent acapella group but, always go to see why they chose to cover a particular song.
I have always loved this song and video. Saying that, however, the Jimmy Fallon/Jack Black version wins the day for me.

They are, actually, a ‘funk rock’ band(with more band members). This is their first ballad. The lead singer is Gary...something, and the guitar/harmony singer is Nuno Bentencourt🎶😉

Gary Cherone is the singer, and Nuno Bettencourt is the one with the guitar. I liked all of their other songs better than this one just bc I got sick of it bc it got played so much, but they are overall more of a rock band. They still tour and sound great and I hope to finally see them one day!
