What a man. What a voice. What a song. I’m so sorry these younger generations can no longer appreciate good quality songs and talented singers. He deserved much more points.
It depends on what kind of music and youth you refer to . In opera , there are more and more young singers ,girls and boys alike and i am very happy and proud of it ! The youngest opera singers nowadays are about 20 years old ,sometimes a bit younger . For example ,Tim Mead started aged 16 and Nadine Sierra only 15 !!! Most of the stars of nowadays opera are in their 30s .Whereas 50 or 60 years ago ,most of them were in their 40s or 50s !!!
It makes opera sound younger and somewhat more modern .i guess the emergence of a new style ,pop opera helped .
People like Jakub Orlinski, Philippe Jaroussky or Léa Desandre have fans of all age ranges and i think it 's amazing !

Это как "в не серьез"?)) Дело в том, что медленных песен на самом деле было достаточно, а всех подряд жюри не ставят, выбирают разных. Вопросы скорее по Израилю, они словно пугались реакции фандома в зале и не считались с мнением массового зрителя.
Что до зрительского голосования, то конкуренция слишком большая в этом году, хотя в полуфинале мы были 7-е, оставив за спиной таких как Норвегия и Бельгия, а их фандом считал среди фаворитов)
очень даже всерьез. отличное выступление и очень завораживающий вокал. Донс огромный молодец! Просто у многих других исполнителей была своя огромная фанбаза, поэтому сложно было прорваться вперёд( Но 14 место это хороший результат, конечно он достоин более высокого места, но он занял среднее место в финале, а это много о чём говорит

Most likely the best improvement from the semi to final! Maximised the stage presence and sounded more like a power ballad even though the vocals were already powerful. While keeping genuine emotions intact, his eyes were anything but hollow❤Paldies Dons, deserved the higher placement. Love from Croatia, Baltic entries are often underrated.

When I listened to the studio version of this, it didn't stand out very much. But his performance was so good, it actually made me vote for him twice. What a professional, sincere performance. What a stage presence. What a charisma. This man belongs on a stage.

Sure he belongs on stage, he became popular in Latvia after a reality tv show almost 20 years ago and is one of the biggest artists in the country, I don’t even know when was the last time we actually sent legit top artist from the country, usually we have young guys on the rise there… well could say Aminata was already popular but not a the level of Dons I think, same as last year’s guys.

If you see the semifinal performance and then the final, you can clearly see at the last bar at 3 minutes how stressfull he was and how much he wanted to go to the final and then at the final you see that he enjoys it and he is happy just to be there once again so reliefed with a smile.
Image how it must've been in the semi going up to sing knowing that all the book-keepers had you in last place with 500-1 odds and then hearing the crowd all singing along and supporting him he must've been so overwhelmed. I don't know why they cut the mics on the crowd so much during the TV broadcast, my friend who was there in person said the audience were singing along at the top of their lungs with him.

I wasnt even watching eurovision but when i passed by tv i was so captivated by his insanely powerful voice and sincere performance i was blown away , definitely the winner for me

На сцену вийшла адекватна людина, не хвора, їй не потрібно нічого доводити і намагатись бути унікальним, не чорт, не гей, не наркоман, не небінар, а просто ЛЮДИНА, яка неймовірно гарно співає. Як же приємно було слухати, Латвія і Україна це як ковток живої води серед тієї темряви.

Я спілкувалась з друзями, вони свідомі і розумні люди, всім подобалась Латвія, але ніхто не голосував взагалі ні за кого, я в тому числі, чому? Тому, що якось не до цього, ці гроші можна витрати на донат, не знаю чи правильно я міркую, але вже як є.
