This is simply the best android phone out there. Before I got this phone, I always thought Samsung is the best android phone, but trust me HUAWEI Mate 8 is incredibly well designed and built. HUAWEI also spends tons of money on developing and engineering there devices annually. HUAWEI has not officially landed on the U.S market for smartphones, but once HUAWEI does, you will see how HUAWEI will outshine Samsung. Keep an eye on HUAWEI, folks.

I just got one from China that I bought on Ebay for $430 shipping included. I love it. I had the Mate 2 for nearly a year and liked it, but this phone is so much faster and so convenient to use. I put an SD card in it instead of the 2nd SIM but it's not being recognized (too slow message I believe?) I'm going to Staples to see if they can advise me. When I received the phone it was all in Chinese--even after going into the settings and choosing English. I tried downloading Chrome with no luck. I contacted the seller to ask for a refund. They were apologetic but not helpful. After figuring out how to circumvent the language barrier I finally got Chrome in English installed, then deleted all the Chinese apps that I could and all was fine!
I got a Huawei mate 8 a few weeks ago. I do like the screen size and slim bezel. I can use it one handed but a phone not as wide like the 6p might be easier to work in one hand. I do like the expandable memory and dual sim support as I've been using it with two sims. The only down side would have to be lack of customization and custom roms as it's not as popular as the nexus. It has been the first phone I haven't worried about rooting as it has app permissions built in android 6, battery percentage in the icon, and the ability to display bandwidth usage which I love and was about all u used a custom rom for. Google play is a bit limited and didn't come with all the services.

My first option on my new device is Samsung, either Note 5, S7 Edge, or maybe note 6(probably won't have the money), a second option now would be this huawei, LG V10, and maybe htc 10(but didn't like it). LG5 what a disappointment, feels and looks cheap. Probably will never use an iphone again(since iphone 3GS), I think iphones are overpriced and offer very little to be more expensive than all other devices. very nice review, thumbs up
Wait until mate 9. Mate 8 is close to iPhone performance but iPhone wins. Mate 8 is like 9 months old. Mate 9 will have the 960 which will make it the most powerful phone in the world. Nothing beats it's chipset and mate 9 will be first phone with it and will most likely have dual 16 mega pixel camera a big improvement from the terrible camera it has. Please wait

After buying I could honestly say this is not only an IPhone killer but a Samsung killer as well. They have done everything Samsung should've done in terms of screen size and processor speed and yes folks it is much faster than my other Note 5 which I also have and much more fluid and way better looking which to me is a massive surprise the only bad thing is the default built in launcher but that is no real problem because im using Nova Launcher anyways even on my Samsung Note 5!!
Been using the Mate 7 Gold for the past year. Was thinking quite a bit on the Mate 8. Seems quite similar but I guess the camera and other extra features got me sold. Next stop, phone shop! Thanks for the review @booredfemme
I really love your videos. Keep up the good work. I currently use the iPhone 6 and only opted for it because of the stability and ease of use. However, I keep going into the Huawei store here in Lisbon Portugal and drooling over this phone. Only deal breaker for me is the price. I'd imagine it'd be a definite iPhone killer if they'd lower the price by around 50-75 euros.
I looked into this phone and it seems to me to be on par with the note 3 (released in 2013) I still have mine and I love it. Unless the mate 9 0r 10 makes significant improvements then I doubt I will take much interest in this device. Good for people who dont want to pay that much though

Man, she meant that when she got the phone. All her apps that she had in her previous phone were there on Huawei Mate 8. that's probably because of Google's Marshmallow service. that happened when I installed marshmallow on my Huawei P8 Lite
Every Android for about 5 years automatically reloads your apps on a new phone as long as you have auto restore checked on your old phone. And that not very many apps, you know when you have too many apps when you max the memory out on a S6+ Edge like me.

just got mine 1 day ago..I give it 7.5 outa 10..it has no app drawer..also I been using samsung phones forever so I compare to that..Its really nice classy all metal and very smooth and fast I hate it doesnt have the store like samsung to customize the phone.also I like samsung browser this only has chrome..great battery life its just ganna take some gettin use to..
Bought this in 2016. Just had the battery replaced. I'll continue using it until my apps no longer support Android 6.0, which it's stuck on. Amazing phone. Even better with Nova Launcher, EMUI is meh.

Great review, but there's a grain of dust (or maybe fiber idk) on the screen during the whole video, and that really irritated me.
