Not possible I'm afraid. Quantum mechanics forbids AI from predicting the future. Like humans, it can only consider probability and will therefor make the same mistakes. At some point it will get fired. Relativity and quantum mechanics prevent us from fully understanding black holes and gravity etc. AI will do no better in this respect than humans and probably not nearly as well.
@@pigofapilot1 Sure, but I don't think anyone is talking about prediction capabilities. Machines substitute human labour. Software takes that to the next level. The assumption here is that AI will push that further. As of fear of job loss, I think we need to update our systems and policies to reflect the change. Maybe not every human must 'work for a living'. We can have more time doing what humans do best: innovate.
@Ape man Commeth Absolutely. Humans will absolutely be necessary for the foreseeable future and probably always because AI doesn't have goals. Humans have an innate drive to innovative, explore and develop. As for Boston Dynamics, I've been a subscriber and follower of them (along with DARPA and a slew of others) for years. Those people are nuts and I LOVE it! Go humans!
where are the clothes that allows the owner to decide what colors patterns they want that day? all that's really needed these days are closets with one of each basic configuration of cloth. then you tell it what colors to use, or possibly download a premade pattern, and head out. but of course, it's much more profitable to THROW AWAY perfectly reuseable cloth by the tons.
Awesome content, thanks for sharing this show on youtube I would never have access to this show normally (I'm in Canada) Just discovered it and I have so much episodes to catch up ;)
7:28 wow that lady basically said, don't worry about what we can and cannot afford to pay these people they should be happy they have a job. Because too much money in a poor place is bad. WOW, she should be the president, man she weaseled her way out of that question.
The workers are not being exploited far from it, as pointed out workers move up the labour ladder. As for pay, the are getting above average pay and giving people the dignity of work.
It is quite correct to say that AI(?) can only learn from the past actions but only up to a point. The 'uncertainty principle' of quantum mechanics forbids it from mathematically predicting the result any future action. For example: politics, economics and human behaviour are also subject to the uncertainty principle (mathematical ambiguity). This means that any politician or economist that believes that they can mathematically predict the economic future is just guessing...as the 2007/8 global crash(based on mathematical computer modelling of the economy) proved beyond doubt. It failed to incorporate the uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics. It had reached the physical limits of AI(?). There is plenty of advertising hype to the contrary.
After like ten years when their would be so much data, Commenting one and one comment won't make any relevance but rather you gotta have to make such algorithms which would comment instead of you to present your idea about a certain thing.
@BBC_Click All of your UA-cam videos have CC disabled. This is difficult for the hearing impaired. Can you enable Closed Captions (CC) on your UA-cam uploads? Thanks
For those moaning about the wages, yeah, it seems low if you're living in a developed country, but in Africa, in the proper context, that is a very decent salary (considering the workers' current education/skill/experience sets etc.) 9 USD per hour equates to R20 441 (ZAR) per month, if you're working 8 hours a day. With that salary one can live a very good life, depending on lifestyle and expenses off-course. These people would have nothing and zero opportunities otherwise as their government, like all other African governments are total flops. SAMA is actual doing a great job and saving lives. What are YOU doing to provide opportunities for the poor? Coming from an African, in Africa with 14 Years Tech experience backed by numerous qualifications :-)
BBC i'm extremely disappointed. As an African and long time loyal viewer of BBC click i'm actually starting to believe that Africa isn't necessarily poor because of corrupt leaders, but rather of leaders that are corrupt because they either have no power against the western giants or that incompetent leader puppets are purposefully pushed into power by powerful western nations. I mean come on. Kenya is one of the fast developing economies in Africa with beautiful cities and roads but i constantly see the mediocre and low-blow reporting where the western media continuously portrays kenya as this slam riddled country with nothing more. Really shallow BBC, this is 2018. Catch up with the times. No wonder Britain is falling.
"Nas Daily Global" got that figured out very well. Nas claims that Kenya and some other African countries have cities and roads nicer than few Europian countries.
Except of course that a human needs one, two perhaps three examples to learn just about anything. The touted "AI" needs hundreds to thousands of examples to discern anything. And even then the "AI" is still not anything near intelligent. Just a programmed machine processing data. Everybody calm down.
this is how to understand AI at first i use my smart phone to work and get efficient in doing thing and get connected to the world and to people thn my smart phone get so smart that it actully take my job and render me useless so i dont work i still can be connected to people and the world but I can t effort it any more This...... is AI
trust me they are not. That's a stable and well-paying job in their country. If you went there with a million dollars. you would probably a billionaire
They said that we the consumers are driving the fashion trends? Nope it is the women driving the worlds fashion trends.. with their never ending needs to look hot at any age after 16? Men in general don't care about fashion to them, it fits it does what you wish then bingo it is brought. You only have to see the amount of times women change their idea's of what is hot or not! Some men do of course care about fashion trends mind you, But they are a set age group who are very well off and young self centred pratts.
@@Btt8 Its not quite that straight forward as that they have affiliated for-profit businesses one called Laxmi so when you say non-profit...its a bit more complicated than that.

She's a greedy cunt.
One of the major app for AI is investment prediction for products needed and efficient distribution management. Cost effective.

Yes, but AI needs to become creative for that at least to some level.
There's another name for artificial intelligence: The Donald.
So it's creating jobs at a slightly nicer sweatshop

There is a difference between real A.I and applied A.I. The former will never be achieved for even the human mind and it's mysteries remain unsolved.

General AI? Why not copy Human Intelligence? Create an intelligent network linking narrow AIs,
Human intelligence is not the limit of intelligence. Eventually AI will be to us like we are to ants.
