    I love #GorillaGlue almost as much as I love E6000. You can use it indoor, outdoor, and in a large temperature range. You can paint it, sand it, stain it, drill it and saw it. Also, it won't damage your tools.
    It's also easy and cheap to use on #Styrofoam . This is great for making props or outdoor scenes. It's stiff, not felixible like E6000, but you can also use it as a wood filler instead of your standard wood glue.
    Buy it anywhere from walmart, target, fred meyer, home depot, lowes, Michaels, Joanns, Hobby Lobby, CVS and even Office Depot. It's cheap, easy and inexpensive.

      If you look in the floral section of the store you buy your flowers from, you should see a hot glue melting pot, which is how most floral pieces are made. You just dip the stem and insert it into the Styrofoam. Just make sure not to do it in front of a fan because the glue will spiderweb everywhere. Good luck!

    I have a 20' x 12' concrete patio next to the concrete foundation of my house. In winter, the patio contracts, leaving about a 1/2" gap between the patio and the house. Then the spring thaw starts, the patio starts expanding, so the gap is now only about 1/4", but still plenty wide for snow melt water to start getting into the basement. It's now in the forties outside, so I took my garden hose and blasted out the dirt from the gap as best I could (pre-wetting both the patio concrete and the house concrete in the process). Then I poured 2 bottles of Gorilla Glue into the entire 20' long gap while the concrete was still wet. The glue foamed up in in it's usual fashion, and the patio has been permanently attached to the house now for 3 years... I'm hoping for good!

    • @MakerHighSchool
      @MakerHighSchool  5 років тому +2

      It depends on how porus the materials you're gluing are. For example, the styrofoam repels water, but you need at least some to activate it. I put moisture on both wood pieces because it absorbs it. You need enough but not too much. I hope that helps.

      Not so much. It will come off with acetone, but using that on walls will not end well. Command strip hooks are probably your best bet. If you have white walls, you can use screws and use a putty filler when you unscrew them. I'll be doing a video on that eventually, too. 😅

    • @MakerHighSchool
      @MakerHighSchool  2 роки тому +1

      @@ammipappa2806 I've never heard of gooey goo. If it's similar to goo gone, then no. Really, acetone is the only thing. You could do a patch test with acetone on a part of the laminate you don't see to check if it works before moving forward. Just remember acetone is made to dissolve things, so there's a chance it will eat away at it. If you go ahead, just be careful.

    How well does it work on EVA foam

    • @MakerHighSchool
      @MakerHighSchool  5 років тому +1

      If you're trying to join EVA to itself, you're better off using contact cement like barge. (I'm working on a video for it). I use barge on my L200, but I HAVE used gorilla glue on the surface to create bubbles textures for props made using eva.
      If you were going to use it on something stick like gluing a cosplay helmet together, I'd recommend keeping and eye on it the first hour or so, and wiping any overage so you dont have to do as much sanding later. I wouldn't recommend it for pieces that need flexibility at the seams (like prop body armor) since it dries rigidly.
      I hope that was helpful info. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
