Idk you may have to dice up what kind of "lyricism" for this debate. DMX could rhyme scheme creatively entertaining AND say something deep and/or profound... possibly better than 2pac. I may argue that although 2pac was plenty deep on occasion but I'd argue Pac relayed deep emotional pulled with simplified words.... which is harder to do but not how we describe "lyricists". Semi related side not: Rap has always been about that word play, double meanings and metaphors but sometimes direct no fluff words hit harder and make it more real. Take C-Murder for example. When everybody wanted to say "white girl, birds, keys etc" He just said like simple shit "Im selling crack, I put rocks in a skittles bag" but the story hits just as hard because he painted it in a way the everyday person lives and sees it. That's a tough one. I think Prodigy is the nicest out of all of them, but Fame and Danze are both nicer than Havoc lyrically. You could argue that Hav makes up for it with his production skills, but MOP worked with crazy producers like Preemo and Nottz too.
