Quest name: A Professional
What happens when Eyck meets a witcher
Gwent Thronebreaker the Witcher tales
Eyck is an amazing Character... His strength is incredible, in the books even Geralt admit that Eyck has killed monsters that lots of Witcher wouldn't dare to fight. And he did it with a steel sword. All the story with his wife and the story with his son, Sigfried, is magnificent and very intriguing... All his concepts of good and evil... I really don't know why in the TV serie they destroy this character so peculiar. Fucking idiots.
About strength no doubt eyck is amazing but his mind is the problem,he only see thing good and bad, white and black, but every action has reason,
They do good thing to cover bad thing, they do bad thing so they can do more good thing
@@basic_avarage_person yeah bro, you're right... And this is why, considering that in the world of the Witcher everything is grey, he is so particular.
Yes I actually like him because he see things black and white in a grey world, and really like his card quotes. I mostly had the same choice with him except Kestullis (but also killed her to keep him nonetheless) so i could say we get along very well depite other people saying this character is this or that.
He's card nevertheless is extremely powerful. With Manticore he always save the day while fighting monsters, specifically Kestullis and Gernichora, while chanting honor and faith. This actually gave a boost to my own morale XD.
Eyck is a cool character but holy fuck he's so preachy and annoying sometimes
Eyck also saved Geralt and Yen, while everyone else stood by, simply because they needed help. Geralt was in utter disbelief when he realizing this.
Shame we couldn't witness this in the show, since they butchered his character.
I like this guy
Agreed hope to see him again
Enhanced Ursine witcher gear set...
Just because he is from the school of the bear doesn't mean he is limited to that armor alone.
I was pretty bummed when I realized I wasn’t about to get a cool Witcher companion. Why do this game? 😂
Witcher's don't take sides. supposedly.
@@Men_dra well in the books there were a wolfcompanion of geralt who died in the war between north and the black ones. Cöen if i remember right. he was a bit younger and even more idealistic than geralt. he decided to fight the nilfgardian opression and took side of the north, wich was his downfall in the end.
@@derrevolutor6347 he was convinced by triss i think.
@@choibandrangx yea could be, but in the end it was just his decision
Likewise, I would've loved to have a Bear Witcher as a companion, but overall I understand why he doesn't join Meve's entourage
Eyck what fool. To kill creatures and magical forms of evil is need more than faith or book of lebioda words. He need a silver sword
Not with this witcher, especially kinslayer bear. Eyck is much more useful with his faith than disloyal witcher who cannot fathom the idea of camaraderie with their own school fellows.
Heavily trained knights with herbal remedies can be more effective than witcher.
@@cool06alt
Ready to lose the grand majority of ya knights every time you take on a serious monster? XD
@@cool06alt not really. They are definitely not effective as a Witcher. They don't have enough knowledge of a witcher when it comes to monsters. Which is why Eyck in the books was easily defeated due to his ignorance.
Honestly depends on the monster
For most steel is enough (hell some types are weak to meteorite steel) only the more magical monsters need sliver to even hurt them and even then there are oils you can apply to your steel weapon achieve the same effect.
Honestly when it comes to monster slaying in the Witcher world knowledge is half the battle. The other half being skill.
@@marcoboscarol2420 I would sooner take a honest knight than a witcher from fucking Bear School. They are selfish bastard closer to psychopath cat witchers than wolves or griffin.. Imagine a witcher who then proceed to robe entire settlement like freaking bandit. Remember the kind of a-hole who assassinated other witcher because of he suspect that another witcher taking his job.
Eyck is skillful enough to not needing silver, and to be honest silver sword is not needed to kill most monster.
Just add the guy to the next witcher game as important side character, there are very few witchers to begin with anyway.
I think Eyck got lots of good point. Although I need to point out that not every Witchers are same. Not every Witchers are like Bear School Witchers. Geralt for example is much more honorable than that Ivo. I think Eyck would get along with someone like Erland of Larvik. Or any Witcher from Griffin School like George of Kagen or Jerome Moreau.
Chance are most Witchers you eccounter are a****le with very few exception like Wolf and Griffin Schools. I can elaborate why.
Its more of a personal trait than has anything to do with their codex. Every witcher school had its renegades or heroes.
@@irdorath356 bear school is special jerk though, haven't you read the lore??
@@cool06alt Which lore, the one you find during the bear set hunting? Played the 3rd game too long ago. Anyways we barely get any information on any of the non-wolf schools.
@@irdorath356 Tabletop RPG, GWENT (Standalone multipayer)
Bear school witchers are basically taught to be no more than amoral mercs. They work alone and cannot even accept the idea getting along with other witchers.
In fact their grandmaster was the first ever witcher to be exiled, because he attempted to kill other witcher who he think stealing his contract. Search 'Arnaghad'.
In contrast, other schools cooperate a lot between their own witcher kin. Even the infamous cat school.
@@irdorath356 I know i am a year łatę, but a guy propably was taking about a lore grom Gwent cards
Just saying, we could easily get Witcher games in the past when the schools were still around and Witchers were not so few, I’m extremely interested in the Manticore school far east to see what kinds of lands were out there along with monsters
I'm so annoyed that Eyck didn't join me coz i took the nuns gold ...
is this witcher ivo mentioned anywhere else ?
He has Gwent roles
@@Truthisscarierthanfiction wdym?
@@schishne7546 He gets his lore expanded upon in the Gwent standalone game
@@Truthisscarierthanfiction but isnt that thronebreaker?
@@schishne7546 Not quite. Thronebreaker is the singleplayer Gwent game with a set story. Gwent is an ongoing multiplayer game with new updates/lore drops
