Hendrix was so obsessed with recording this song he did so many takes and overdubs that his bass player Noel Redding walked out and his manager Chas Chandler quit.
ERIC Johnson Did a Fantastic cover of this song ;) & does it live as well (fun fact) Jimi lived with the isley Brothers back in the day. And as far as I know, ERNIE ISLEY (youngest, Guitar) was the only Player that Cuz (JJ to me ;)Jimi taught how to play Guitar ;) Peace :)
Reminds me of my reaction when I first heard this about 1970 @ 12 years old. Been a fan ever since. Castles Made of Sand, Bold as Love, Little Wind, and of course Jimi's Star Spangled Banner are my top favs along with Watchtower. Having said that, in my humble opinion, no such thing as a bad JH song. Edit to add: Hendrix on guitar, Noel Redding on bass, and Mitch Mitchell on drums. Though Hendrix did the base on the studio cut.
Written by Dylan and covered wonderfully by Hendrix. Does it get any better than that? I think not.
Mitch Mitchell is a seriously underrated drummer. The equal of any from the time. He was the perfect drummer for Jimi
THE GOAT SIR! and I happened to have my HENDRIX shirt on!!!...You gotta do VooDoo Chile and his cover of Johnny B Good!
The drummer is Mitch Mitchell, and Noel Redding played on the bass.
Jimi was on the bass for this one
To see him play guitar is an experience in itself. You absolutely must watch him do "Hey Joe " live at the Monterey Pop Festival.
I love how into it you get when you listen., Like a dopamine rush.
I think this is the greatest number of Jimi. Fantastic guitar solo's. Awesome! 🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶
the drummer is Mitch Mitchel, and for sure he was a fantastic drummer (I don't know now...)! in a quite jazzy style sometimes, we can say...
The Experience's fantastic drummer is John 'Mitch' Mitchell.
Bob Dylan s song
This is IMHO, some of Jimi's best work. I saw him live in '70 just shortly before he passed away. It was in Miami, FL and he was phenomenal!!!!
Hendrix was fabulous!
My all time favorite for sure!!! I love this song!! Thanks for reacting to this MASTERPIECE!!
mooore pls
I'm surprised the screen didn't catch on fire!!! Loved your reaction.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now listen to Purple Haze. Love to watch you really enjoy a performance. ☮️
Are you kidding this is only version Dylan ever said that you have haters and a bigot on your reaction show African brother!!!
Hendrix was so obsessed with recording this song he did so many takes and overdubs that his bass player Noel Redding walked out and his manager Chas Chandler quit.
Now try Bob Dylan’s original version.
Try Jimi Hendrix Hey Joe live in Monterey

I just wish he had asked
Bob for the actual lyrics before he bungled them.
