Hello Brian, Why don't you use blotters on your wheels ( the compressible paper between the wheel and mount)? Also can you show how to dress CBN wheels please.
You use a diamond disk for 3mm carbide rod grinding? If yes, first, you should know what size diamond wheel/diamond disk suitable for your machine, electroplated diamond wheel and resin diamond wheel with medium grit 150# use most often. If you have more question, add my whatsapp for furture communication whatsapp +8613733809594
very good, however i have been told and seen on the instructions that the tool has to be at an angle also what makes the single point chip? and what about the tool orientation to make its facets parallel to the grinding action last question, how deep is the diamond ? is it a long piece of diamond or just that diamond shape cemented in the steel? thanks and hope to hear back from you
That video was good but showed practices that would/could get a person fired in the US or Canada for doing. Wheels of thst size typically get their own adapter. They fet balanced after wheel adaper is installed. After its balanced it gets installed on the spindle shaft taper. The adapter is marked to match the line spindle end, that way the wheels come on and off the taper, orientated to the mark and never require balancing again. You dressed the first wheel and then removed it. The process would need to be done again. If your machines just use straight shadts, you'd run into all kinds of issues with large or odd shaped wheels. It would be nightmare. Thats what really caught my eye. It really looks unprofessional for a grinding business to have videos like that up. Second year apprentices know better.
