@@ss-416 Actually the population in Odisha is very less even though Odisha is a high tax payer state and Yeah very soon Bhubaneswar will have a metro system by 2025 and it will connect Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri. Metro routes has been planned and soil testing everything has been finished now it's time to execute. As you know that Odisha faced a lot of crisis in its history like utter poverty and continuous cyclonic storms every year and Odisha CM Nabin Babu has understood the problem in his state and started the infrastructure development rapidly which we can see the ongoing projects odisha currently and has the best disaster management system also. @user-xs2no8ep9w Gurgaon, Noida comes under NCR. They gets all benefits like good metro connectivity, road infrastructure, bridges from central govt because they’re part of NCR. DMRC(Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) even run metro for Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Fardiabad, etc just because they’re part of NCR region and provides significant employment.

Gurgaon and Noida have their own metro network now apart from metro from DMRC. But, in the starting it was only DMRC. That initial move was always important. If there was no NCR authority they wouldn’t have been so successful. Plus Gurgaon benefited immensely due to its proximity to Delhi International AirPort. Though they’re part of different states, they’re developed mainly because they’re adjacent to Delhi. All real estate agencies, corporates call it Delhi-NCR for the same reason. Same goes for MMR. Though Thane is different city, it was mainly developed due to Mumbai and part of MMR. More such planned cities are coming up.

Kolkata's downfall is due to three reasons. First, the Congress govt in Delhi which made a deal with Jinna and broke a state into two, whose immigrants fleeing genocide who are still incoming. Second, is the blasted communists who drove away all industries. Thirdly, the disastrous FEP which shifted all industries to Gujarat and Maharashtra, crippling not only Bengal but also Bihar and Odisha. That being said Kolkata alone cannot take this pressure of immigrants flowing in from Bihar and Bangladesh. West Bengal must develop atleast 3 more cities to sustain this human wave, ie Kharagpur because it is the gateway to West and Central India, Shiligurri gateway to Northeast India and Haldia gateway to the vast seas of the South.

Unfortunately i visited there once for an event, stayed there for 3-4 days, what i found is 80 percent area in kolkata is poorly planned and congested,narrow roads with hawkers everywhere, old looking building(feels like 1940s), dirty, every area has huge open high drains with mosquitoes waiting for a bite, police harassing bikers for money, Very few good roads, new city is very small in size(newtown 6*7 km2 area), few building are here and there, that's all, worst metropolitan city ever.

Kolkata will become overcrowded in few years we need tier 2 cites like Durgapur, Asansol etc to be the centre of investment & It opportunities. Durgapur is a well connected city with an emerging education boom which has been seen here for several years. Many students from other cities come to persue a better education here. Their r prestigious colleges like Nit Durgapur BC Roy . Lots of land is free here for It industry to be setup. Durgapur is well connected by airways ( Kavi Nazrul Airport) main roads like ZT Road . It’s only 4 hours from Kolkata.
Ever increasing Population and lack of interest of government in being practical and taking steps such as 1) Enforcing No Reservation Policy for more than one child. 2) Banning Reservation for minority religion population as no such thing exist in those religions. 3) Promoting and encouraging maximum Tax payments.

You cannot predict the decline of city based on infra issues there are so many social factors and government policy will continuously impact city's growth. In case of chennai it's office space absorption is 131% growth in 2023. Which is higher then any city in india. And total absorption is higher then mumbai and pune.....so Why these foriegn investors investing there. you should do more resarch on this topic. As a resident of Bihar, it's disheartening to know that a Patna that is hardly recognised city of Bihar but it's a city of garbage too. I have visited Patna several times and witnessed it's dirty condition. People have to live near large sewer where residue of big animals are thrown after getting slaughtered. Due to that vicious smell spread all over the area. 😷😷
I have been to Agra and was struck by the fifth in the city. Garbage everywhere, and narrow, smelly streets. It is a disgrace as it is a significant tourist destination. Terrible impression.
Me being a prominent resident of Patna giving my observation without being biased. See I was someone who was willing to leave Patna 10 years ago when I was in 7th class because I have seen Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad or other tier 1 cities of India, obviously comparing Patna to them. But till class 12th I was shocked to see how drastically things changed in just mere years! Damn! Laws and regulations became prevalent (obviously not 100% but 70%), Maintenance of roads, cleanliness of major areas of City, Road infrastructure is on boom, Patna has roads like Bengaluru with much more underpasses, and overbridges, many universities opened, many small and now big industries have been opened like adani, cocacola, pepsi, bata, parle, itc, hero motocorps, iron casting, steel, ethanol and many more. Bihar government is giving many efforts on IT companies! IT Giants like TCS and TIGER have been opened here, HCL will be opened in January 2024, Wipro and Infosys have demanded to provide them a large area or build sezs to establish their offices in Patna. On which work is going on. Btw Bihar is emphasizing more on tourism in recent years. Like we have variety of places which were losing their glory have now got revamped! People feel safe now a days. Malls, 5 star hotels likr Taj, Hyaat, Vivanta, etc are now opened here. I have seen and met many people from outside Bihar who are now actually living here. From South Indian states also. Cons: Need to upgrade mentality of SOME People. A little bit of rangdaari should be controlled. Needs faster completion of projects.

Gurgaon and Noida have their own metro network now apart from metro from DMRC. But, in the starting it was only DMRC. That initial move was always important. If there was no NCR authority they wouldn’t have been so successful. Plus Gurgaon benefited immensely due to its proximity to Delhi International AirPort. Though they’re part of different states, they’re developed mainly because they’re adjacent to Delhi. All real estate agencies, corporates call it Delhi-NCR for the same reason. Same goes for MMR. Though Thane is different city, it was mainly developed due to Mumbai and part of MMR. More such planned cities are coming up.

Unfortunately i visited there once for an event, stayed there for 3-4 days, what i found is 80 percent area in kolkata is poorly planned and congested,narrow roads with hawkers everywhere, old looking building(feels like 1940s), dirty, every area has huge open high drains with mosquitoes waiting for a bite, police harassing bikers for money, Very few good roads, new city is very small in size(newtown 6*7 km2 area), few building are here and there, that's all, worst metropolitan city ever.

Kolkata will become overcrowded in few years we need tier 2 cites like Durgapur, Asansol etc to be the centre of investment & It opportunities. Durgapur is a well connected city with an emerging education boom which has been seen here for several years. Many students from other cities come to persue a better education here. Their r prestigious colleges like Nit Durgapur BC Roy . Lots of land is free here for It industry to be setup. Durgapur is well connected by airways ( Kavi Nazrul Airport) main roads like ZT Road . It’s only 4 hours from Kolkata.
Ever increasing Population and lack of interest of government in being practical and taking steps such as
1) Enforcing No Reservation Policy for more than one child.
2) Banning Reservation for minority religion population as no such thing exist in those religions.
3) Promoting and encouraging maximum Tax payments.

As a resident of Bihar, it's disheartening to know that a Patna that is hardly recognised city of Bihar but it's a city of garbage too. I have visited Patna several times and witnessed it's dirty condition. People have to live near large sewer where residue of big animals are thrown after getting slaughtered. Due to that vicious smell spread all over the area. 😷😷
I have been to Agra and was struck by the fifth in the city. Garbage everywhere, and narrow, smelly streets. It is a disgrace as it is a significant tourist destination. Terrible impression.

Me being a prominent resident of Patna giving my observation without being biased. See I was someone who was willing to leave Patna 10 years ago when I was in 7th class because I have seen Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad or other tier 1 cities of India, obviously comparing Patna to them. But till class 12th I was shocked to see how drastically things changed in just mere years! Damn! Laws and regulations became prevalent (obviously not 100% but 70%), Maintenance of roads, cleanliness of major areas of City, Road infrastructure is on boom, Patna has roads like Bengaluru with much more underpasses, and overbridges, many universities opened, many small and now big industries have been opened like adani, cocacola, pepsi, bata, parle, itc, hero motocorps, iron casting, steel, ethanol and many more. Bihar government is giving many efforts on IT companies! IT Giants like TCS and TIGER have been opened here, HCL will be opened in January 2024, Wipro and Infosys have demanded to provide them a large area or build sezs to establish their offices in Patna. On which work is going on. Btw Bihar is emphasizing more on tourism in recent years. Like we have variety of places which were losing their glory have now got revamped! People feel safe now a days. Malls, 5 star hotels likr Taj, Hyaat, Vivanta, etc are now opened here. I have seen and met many people from outside Bihar who are now actually living here. From South Indian states also.
