Yes I have worked in Property Management for the last 20 years and wanted to go up there and work for Alaska housing finance corporation helping with native alaskan housing. Flying to all those small villages inspecting , scheduling maintenance ,building including all the compliance paperwork for hud.
As a smokejumper 35 years ago I got to experience the Alaskan tundra and some of it’s villages; a 4th of July softball game in Bethel too. Thanks for this vlog, Peace, Michael.
Thank You both for such a heart warming adventure both to you and the children. One of which the children and the two of you will never forget. You brought tears to my 76 year old eyes as you interact with them. I know I will never experience what you have seen, touched, felt and experienced through the eyes of the youth. May God Bless your journeys through life. Looking forward to future journeys. I wish I could help out through the Patron portal but as I live on Social Security alone and have to take care of 2 families that is not possible. Again, God Bless the both of you.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It warms our hearts to know that our adventures have touched you. We're grateful for your support and look forward to sharing more moments in the future!

Great work you two. Amazing short story of giving and receiving. What a unique culture on our planet. I hope the love and cherish it and don’t get caught up in the world of so many things far away. Beautifully composed episode.
Thank you very much for this marvelous documentary that brings to us a part of this planet and its people we don’t know so little about. A real eye opener.
I had to watch this again. It's been 13 years since my family and I moved away, and it's wonderful to see home through the lense of your experience. Quyana! The elder who spoke is my eldest brother. Our mothers are sisters, and because they are sisters both their children are considered to be siblings. I loved the songs, by the way! Great video.

Wow, the mural was beautiful and the Cupik/English song was nice. You two are definitely embracing Alaska from the road system to remote villages. Weather and travel are no joke here. I read your bio and saw that Jose went to SAIC. A friend of mine in Anchorage went there a few years ago too. And, it was cool to read that you both enjoy international travel. Thoroughly enjoying your art projects and collaborations. It'd be cool to see one involving food like cultural, fishing, foraging, and hunting. Excited for your next video.

Best original score, not just in UA-cam. There is no way for me to view such beautiful video and stunning audio also. I haven’t viewed all your ‘RV’ videos yet but they are a must and will definitely get to the breakdown of RV/school bus, somewhere in Alaska. Thank you again for the hardest job too to clean the inside and outside of the windshield. I hope you don’t mind me recommending your UA-cam channel, Are we there yet? Argentina?
That's very kind to say - and yes, of course, please recommend the channel! Just to clarify though - we are using music from musical artists on Epidemic Sound. I (Cora) did not compose the music for all the Season 1 videos! I would if I had the time, but just making the videos and filming the upcoming videos (plus other work thrown in there) keeps us busy more than full-time!
Little known fact: Bethel is the 1st. and last checkpoints on the annual Kuskokwim (CUSS-koh-quim) 300 dogsled race. It seems it's a good day to fly a kite in Bethel, if you don't mind it ending up in Siberia.😀 That's the kind of wind the mushers can run into up in the Unalakleet [YOU-nuh-luh-cleat], on the Bering Sea) area during the Iditarod--wind chills of around -100F. Back in '84, during my 9244mi. solo drive to and from AK, I flew out of Anchorage on a 2-day tour to the "big cities" of the Alaskan Bush--Nome and Kotzebue, and even that was eye opening.
@@ArtWeThereYet, but from what I hear, the sleep deprivation becomes so huge after 4 or 5 days that you can't hardly think straight. However, I've been on 2 dogsledding tours--1 up in Ely, MN near the Boundary Waters, and the other about 100 mi. north of the Canadian border in Ontario, and yes, it was epic. So, I'm not sure I'd want the exhaustion, but it's amazing to watch a recap later on.

Luckily we didn't see any. I think it is too far north for grizzlies, and maybe a bit far south for polar bears to be very common. But I could be wrong! Haven't done the research on the extend of different bear habitats throughout Alaska

Each region has its own architecture that make each village unique and beautiful. Something that a great country like the USA seems to have given up.

Non-remote Alaska kicked my butt. 🙂 On a healthier occasion I would love to visit and learn about the culture and traditions.
