why didnt you just dremel the shape of the led out of the mirror mount? that way it would be a flush finish and the mirror would be all the way in with no edge opening.

It's probably painted on the back. Some mirrors are double sided. I guess so try can be used on either side. I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe Limited 5.7 with heated power mirrors and the back of the mirror has a flat grey/black coat on it. I like your turn signals.

To do these the mirrors have to be made in a certain way. If you have the mirror that has a solid film on the backside, then you can't do it. If you remove the film, then you're just left with a clear piece of glass and no mirror, if you leave the film on, then you can't shine any light thru the back. Your driver side mirror was made differently and light can shine thru the back fine

I got a 03 buick lesabre with daytime running lights and I spliced my wires into the headlamp turn signal socket but the arrow stays lit until I turn the signal on and then flashes and when I turn signal off, it stays lit. I have another turn signal in the frt bumper, is that the one I should splice into? Help please!
Hey bro, I have a 2004 Kia Optima and I bought these same arrows in blue but I can't get them to turn on and see how and if they actually work. I exposed the 3 factory wires that go into the bulb socket and connected what seems to be the (-)arrow wire to the black im assuming ground wire on the car and the (+)arrow wire to the green w/white stripe which is the blinker I checked the ground ind blinker with a needle light tester and apparently there is a 3rd wire its white, but didn't like I believe when I probed it. I did this quick and successfully in my 2002 malubu but those weren't "sequential" arrows just blinker on and off and supposedly these new arrows I are sequential so idk if I need something I'm not doing.. Hope u can help man don't know what I'm missing to get these to work assuming they do and are not faulty or sumtin.
I have a problem with turn right/left in raining night or no streetlamp area. When I turn my car to left, I usually watch left side first and then turn slowly, but in the no streetlamp area, and the headlight cannot cover the left/right side of the car. I can see nothing before I turn (New Yorker never watch the cars….). I know some autos, they can turn their headlight when you turning. Do you know any way to solve this problem without purchase a new car?

Very tricky, go to a U pull and pay get a stock car mirror, I work with glass and mirrors and nothing is even supposed to come through the back like that. Not real mirror. The aftermarket one is probably better and having a thicker backing (it's just glass with a tinfoil type paper attached to the back but it is thick enough to not let light through.

( Extreame fishing truck ) my you tube channel. ** My idea is if you want the mirror flush you can use a drummel / like tool and grind away a small amount of the plastic base & then double side tape I'll even out the rest. & Also I use the new gorilla clear glue & it's really dries clear. ( Not a ad.( Just a lover my truck outside fish glued to roof & hub caps have with stood 3 winter's in CT. Hope you check my site & give me any idea's what else it's missing. ( I'm creating a hood scoop so not that idea needed. )
Use real hot soapy water and a razor blade and treat the mirror like u would if u was repreping windows to retint them and the surface will be flawless finish to make sure u get just about any surface use ur better judgment or common sence if u dont want to buy another do play the hand so to speak fr lol
They are very useful in heavy traffic. Cars too far up on side of to notice a rear turn signal can see these. If it's a courteous driver they may let you in.

I like that idea, or at least glue plastic shims around the high spots and fill in with silicone so there would be no obvious gaps.

Uptowns Finest yeah you can use goof off or glue remover. Just let it sit in there for a while then it should come out easily

you'll need to heat the back of the mirror and remove a film. once you get it off place your lights under film and stick back
Thats a terrible idea, there will definitely be gaps. which you won't have a workable mirror at all.
