    Running and gunning with Radar is one of the most fun ways to fish for the Phins. I've wanted a set of stabilized binocs for years, but you conned me into buying SPJ tackle this year instead lol. Having a blast with that as well. Thanks for the great content.

    Dude sounds like a Drill Sargent barking orders at everyone on the boat !

      No, far from a drill sergeant, just a guy focused on producing the best show he can. Please understand there are a lot of moving parts when filming and someone has to orchestrate. Please join www.FSFTV.com.

    Nice Job finding those fish! It’s not an easy task to do so on many days but you guys make it look easy! Finding that live bait is essential and it all seems to start there. Having live pilchards and ballyhoo on board is key. Do you guys gamble with catching live bait on a trip like that or just purchase it? Sometimes it takes me 20 minutes to catch bait and sometimes it takes much longer digging into fishing time. I find having a sibiki rod, ballyhoop and cast net on hand to start every trip to tip the scale my way helps but it’s always the part of the day that’s in question. Where is the bait? Then it’s where is the fish then it’s am I set up for any unexpected turn of events?
    Gotta love fishing!

      Sometimes we catch it, sometimes we purchase it, depends on the situation. Many times ill head offshore with no live bait as I really fooling 'phins on artificials nowadays. what size mainline do you use on the deep dive plugs? mono or braid?

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  2 роки тому +2

      Depends on the application. On my wahoo outfits I fish 65 lb braid to a 150 mono topshot. On my grouper outfits I fish 50 lb mono, which is what I typically troll a deep diving plug with when dolphin fishing. I agree with Mike on the need for conservation. But I think more than anything we need to regulate charter captains. I can’t speak for Florida. But I find it hard to swallow that in Texas they’re able to operate a for profit business with its product line being a natural resource. As well as operate that business out of public docks and ramps. Oil is a natural resource and exploration companies have to pay royalties and taxes on the product itself. I don’t see why fishing guides should be any different. Texas is littered with 22 year old kids operating their Dads boat with a 6pk license and a $210 license. They load up on croaker and go out and whack and stack the trout all day long. I think it’s unfair to allow that to go on and then restrict the recreational fisherman’s limits and sizes in order to “conserve”. Who are we really conserving for them?
