@simonturner1460 Hi bud. And thank you! Unfortunately the secluded nature of this Mark, makes it very difficult to carry in any extra equipment such as underwater cameras or sonar. Also it would cut into the fishing time as well, if I was messing around with other tech. Glad you liked it Brother, see you on the beach 😁👌

and as i said we go for a weeks fishing next summer. if u did that how many lures would u bring? anything else that is important to bring? like extra line or other gear
If you're using hard baits and soft baits, I would bring 10 of each weight that you're going to use. I would bring one spare spool of each line you're going to use. This is just a guess.
Congrats. There are big pollock here but I don't think I have ever seen them caught from shore like that. Big smile while fishing, and probably while eating as well. They are very tasty for sure. Those two pollocks are quite a few portions, I recon.
Thanks Brother! I usually get two or three fish of a similar size each year. But this one is definitely the biggest I've ever caught. And I have eaten half already 😋 very delicious
Congratulations Billy the beast slayer ! Cracking pollock 👏👏 just proves the effort pays off 👍👍 I took a long drive to Fedafjord today, sadly I wasn’t as lucky / skillful as you and came home with a blank 😵💫 but it doesn’t stop me going again 🤣 I think they call it madness of the head 🤣🤣
Very nice fish, well done! :) I've also experienced the "weird" pollock behaviour many times, especially with the large ones. They just "follow" as you reel them in with little resistance, but when they get close to shore they go absolutely crazy :) Norwegian pollocks like fast baits with lots of orange/yellow color on them. Check out "Kinetic Norske Silden", the orange variant in 60gr. They usually come in kits of 4 different colors, but you can buy them separately as well. The "Sport Outlet" franchise stores usually has them. I've caught countless double digit pollocks on that. Stingsilda yellow/red in 60gr is deadly too, but a bit more expensive.
Hi Andreas. They don't know that they are hooked, until it's too late. And then they start to fight. It has something to do with all the mackerel that are around this year. I used to use the lures that you speak of. But not anymore I make all of my own. But thank you for the recommendation.

Trolls are known to throw rocks at churches, so the rocks thrown onto the beach may have been thrown by trolls at churches that once stood there. Fun fact.
Great spot. Imagine running into a moose while walking through that narrow pass. Here is a formula for measuring a fish's weight length x girth x girth that number divided by 800. It will give you a near estimate if you don't have a scale.
Wassup bud!😁 That thought crosses my mind nearly every time I do this! And I have had a couple of close calls in the past. But it just adds to the excitement 😅 thanks for the formula, much appreciated brother 😁👌
I'm wishing I had fresh pollock. I've never actually tried it because where I'm from, pollock gets shipped to Japan or something and made into imitation crab. We used to be able to get fresh never frozen pacific true cod, and that's probably my number one fish to eat. They have it frozen, but that's never as good. Is there a secret to how they freeze them? Im guessing what you caught took a few servings to finish. And one other question, are you still using the bearskin jacket? I'm wondering if they're all they say they are. We don't always have to fish in cold weather, but atmospheric rivers have a bad habit of showing up about the time I'm able to fish, and salmon really get excited when the rain starts, and I hate to leave when that happens. I've been soaked to the skivvies on numerous occasions
Hi James. The jacket in the video is the bare skin! But like all these soft shell jackets, they need to be treated two or three times a year! That is something you're going to have to research yourself. So judging by your comments I would say you're either in Alaska or in BC. I would have thought that these fish were quite common where you are! Anyway, hope to visit someday. Thanks brother see you on the beach 😁👌
@Billyfishing_watch I spend most of my vacation in BC but I'm across the border in Washington state. The cod numbers have crashed in recent years, but the black cod took off. They live in really deep water so it's mostly commercial boats that target them. Alaska has a better chance for someone to intercept cod and plenty of other tasty fish.
Hope you enjoy the video, I had fun making it 😁👌
