@R_T_Ralph I'm currently trying to pull up the white plastic guard in order to plug in the drive connector, but it won't budge. Removing the wifi card is seemingly difficult for me, as my screwdriver which worked fine for the bracket screws cannot move the screw without stripping it.
So this computer has one of those PCI or something SSD instead of the block one? I wanted to insert the old 1TB SSD from an older laptop into this as the main to avoid having to reinstall all the programs, but not sure if that would be a good idea. It's my limited understanding the PCI SSD is much faster (is that right?) so if I make the old (block) SSD into the main one, not even sure if I can do that, it would be a sort of a downgrade.
Mine came with an 1tb HDD and i wanted to upgrade buying an ssd ( SSD M.2 WD 240GB Green SN350 2400MB/s NVMe PCI-Express x4 ) but i don't know if it's compatible with the laptop, how can i find out if it is compatible or not? Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much man 👊🏼, really helpful
What is the product name of the SSD installed in the video?
11:50 so hard remove the wifi card, been trying a lot and still doesnt make it
Thank you for this video, very helpful
My brain after seeing the delicate motherboard "Just leave it bro"
There is a website printed on the bag that has the HDD bracket and that tells you where to start prying to get that case open
Thanks
Did you try to install OS on Kingston A400 SSD? I wonder how perfomance changes in this case.
i think it would be slower than the m.2 drive inside, but i got this for the missus, and doesnt use it for anything tasking
Where is the cmos battery located if it needs to be replaced?
when i remove the back cover, its near the bottom right corner, next to the SSD drive. Just remove SSD to fully expose this. Easy
Is it possible to plug in the hard drive connector without removing the wifi card?
probably. whatever works. Its an easy upgrade and still works fine for me.

i think they came with this laptop, i bought it new.
Are the adapter and the hard drive container included in the box with the laptop?
yes
is it weird that it started whining after re-plugging the battery?

sort of, but a change in the bios to boot from your old ssd will work fine. im sure the speed would be enough for whatever you needed to do with it.
Its not showing the installed SSD. Could you please tell me the steps to find that one
if its not showing automatically, then it needs formatting. Go to computer management in windows, it will show the drive and format it.
can we make dual channel ram on this laptop?

If you have this laptop, yes, it's compatible, don't worry.
