thanks a lot to share this treasure!!! Pityful there is no film about "Boris Godunov"...He was incredible in this role....In the film of Pabst, he is not at his best like years previously....He was a genius, and he has a deep talent to sing but also to play.....He didn't play the role, he was.....

Such a tragedy that there are no films of him singing Boris. What a handsome man (although you can't really tell from this). Nijinsky's sister, a great choreographer inher own right, was madly in love with Chaliapin. So were most women.......
