Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.
Just watched a review on these and apparently you have to purchase a subscription with the company to be able to use these. In the contract it states that THE COMPANY GETS TO COLLECT YOUR DATA. Why would anyone want a security camera where a bunch of strangers can look at what your camera is looking at? No thanks. Nearly bought two until I watched the review.
The 6 second video playback advertise for the SD card does not work. They are now saying you have to subscribe for a cloud service to get this feature.
Well without reading through all the comments can somebody answer a couple basic questions. It appears you can view in live mode as it's happening but can you save any of the video clips to your phone for instance or do they automatically just go on and old-fashioned style SD card and you would have to remember to what pull that out put it in your computer download that put it back in and go through all that hassle? Cuz that would be a definite No-No to me buying them if it has to do all that , that's like back in the 90s or something. It would appear from the ad that you could just capture and keep the clips that you might want to with your phone but I'm not sure when I see people referring to the SD card. Thank you!
do you have any idea what the light bulb actually is? It’s not just a camera and a light bulb and jingles, etc…it is a wifi device first and foremost. Prior to putting it in a socket just open your smartphone or any device you have that hooks up to your internet wifi router. Mine shows up in my iPhone when I open settings and find the Wi-Fi icon and word wifi close to the top. There it will list the one I use. There is a selection labeled My Networks this is the one I use for all my wifi needs. Below that is “Other Networks” which are typically my neighbors. If I by chance have my phone setting open when traveling around town, I will receive names of random wifi signals possibly bcuz my “Ask to Join Networks setting is turned on. So you can try this yourself. Open your device and locate your wifi, even better locate your Other Networks list. Keep that open or take a screenshot of it. Now give your lightbulb electric power, let it jingle and turn on. Now look at your Other Networks. There will be a new Wifi network in the list, it will be a bunch of letters and maybe numbers that make no sense but they are the identifying numbers of your lightbulb wifi network. So you now have another wifi network running in your home. That bulb doesn’t need your original network that services your tvs and computer, etc..the lightbulb is a network and it’s sure as hell not free. But the network daddy who manages his lightbulb children will allow you to use his device for a few weeks then he will cut the wifi off and demand money. You have given him access to your privacy as well. And you thought that was just a lightbulb with a camera. Hello no.
I’ve been using a security camera AND free app for years. I can save, share videos very easily. Night vision…sound. Buy them as many camera as you want. I use the app called “tend secure”.
@Smart Home 101 not really all need an app to run an sd card to record, and I doubt any of the will support an http, rmst or any other protocol to use your own pvr to connect too
I have the Ctronics 2.5K 4MP Light Bulb Security Camera, it was working fine but I had to reset it and now wont connect to my wifi network. Keeps giving me incorrect password error when the password is indeed correct. I have done all the troubleshooting I can think of, including deleting and uninstalling and doing everything from scratch and still same. Any recommendations anyone?
Can you tell me how to get a activation code for my micro SD card I have a YCC365 Plus security camera. I bought the SD Card at Walmart. Thanks for your time
Next time you make a compare/review video you should include basic things like current market price per unit, subscriptions & current market pricing of those. Maybe make a table of checkmarks vs. X's of what the ones you're reviewing have or do not have.. that's a true review of a set of products. Just a suggestion.
Can you please tell me the correct card reader to use in this model security camera I bought two of these and the card reader sent seems to be too small for the unit. The card reader went straight through into the mechanism of the camera, my husband had to take the camera apart to retrieve them. I’d really appreciate a reply. Hopefully when we get the right card reader and can install them properly, the cameras will work. Fingers crossed.
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Most of them are compatible with TF/MicroSD card but some of them only works with SD card. If you already own a MicroSD card then get a SD card adapter. Otherwise you can also purchase a SD card. Here is an example: www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Ftechnofizi.net%2Fdifference-tf-card-memory-microsd-card-memory%2F&psig=AOvVaw3RcsCYBlYInhK1JqfBtX55&ust=1675226479807000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CBAQjRxqFwoTCLDc7Yv_8PwCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAE

They look and sound good, BUT my light sockets are clip-in, not screw-in otherwise I would buy!
You can find an electrician to do the switch to screw-in for you.
Very nice 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Also READ the instructions - most "save your data" as part of the subscription agreement
Ok.
Is there subscriptions that you have to buy for these Camera?
some of them have.

Yeah kinda but offer different features

Terrible video because it doesn't give costs for the service to run these which is where most of the money is spent!
