Yes i had but personally its very fast in the M,S slices that in my comp i accidently moved the S layer making me get a 17 solve which is really bad and i was not consistent with it
I used to be really into cubing and I forgot how much more advanced things are now! This guhong is way more insane compared to the first guhong. We lost our minds at the slightest of reverse corner cutting back then. Speaking of which, I've had this idea in my mind for years, but someone really needs to do a "Best cube throughout the years" video (if someone can source the A5), that will be awesome.
I was researching this idea earlier today! I also think it's a really good idea but sourcing older cubes is incredibly hard. Just to get hold of a Zhanchi from the early days of cubing is nearly impossible. So if I could get the cubes, it would make a great video!

Wow! Speedcubing has come so far since I stopped back in 2014. I still have my Dayan Lingyun V2. Now that I am getting back into speedcubing I think I will choose this new Dayan shown in the video. Thanks!

Really good review, points out all the major things needed to address for the cube! Just a thought however, The Dayan guhong pro is really good, FOR THE PRICE. In my experience and many others, the plastic is pretty cheap, and to be fair I don't mind non-adjustable magnets. The Dayan guhong pro is a really good cube and a really smooth yet stable cube. Imo the rs3m v5 edges it out in the value because it also has UV coating, and in my opinion a better performing cube. You mentioned before on your channel that you have a blocky turning feel, and I think that you will enjoy the rs3m v5 a lot more because it is more blockier. Surprisingly however I perform 97% as well as my main cube, the 8 magnet UV coated ball core WRM v9, and my turning style just doesn't go well with blocky cubes lol. Maybe I should start using this a lot more though. Gr8 Review and Keep up the good work!
Yeah definitely, I think that the price for a good cube like this one is incredible. However, if I was comparing it to a GAN 14, the GAN would still come out on top. So whilst it is really good, there are still issues due to the low price.
Hi, UK Cuber and community I would be glad to get an answer. For Tornado v3 but I see that lot people are facing magnet falling out of there places and with Moyu, the ball core keeps cracking it seems. Could you tell me if you're facing any issue with the quality of Dayan GuHong?
The ball core cracking issue was only on the rs3m 2022 super but the giving is supposed to be good but most people say the rs3 V5 is better is has all the features of the guhong+ a screw and a robot stand
got mine today and its quite an upgrade from the ol zhanchi! i agree with most of your points aside from more junk in the box. i dont want to pay more for extra crap thats just gonna go in landfill anyway
In my personal testing the tornado is miles better, but that’s probably since the Dayan Guhong is way to fast for me and I prefer the soft and quietness of the tornado. Plus the tornado is more stable since I have a pretty harsh turning style and the tornado works fine with that turning style but the Guhong doesn’t. The Guhong is a good option but you can get better for cheaper and spend a little more for a tornado
I have it and it’s very good, but it’s really unstable and way to fast. I put angstrom in it and it would steeps right back to where it was after one session, and same goes with traxxes. No matter what I do to this cube I can’t slow it down
This isn't something I have noticed but some other people have said the same thing. It's a shame that people are having these issues because the cube is very good, but maybe DaYan need to fix a couple of things on this cube.
i dont think the last one was flaw tbh, dont feed dayan ideas to much like moyu. I dont want a robot watch transformer type of freebies when we clearly want is a cube but still solid review
@@UK_Cuber it’s just perfect for me. I love the turning and the magnet strength suits me. I use the 55mm maglev. Any new version will be a must buy for me. My previous mains were the Gan 11,12 and 13. Bought this instead of the 14!
Ive definitely fallen out of cubing ngl. Was fun for 2 years but i just dont really want to spend tens of hours to cut a second off my time. I might get this cube as the last one (or it might even get me back into cubing idk)
@@UK_Cuber yea that's actually amazing advice. I'll usually just pick up my old wrm2021 for a quick solve every now and then. Honestly want to try out ball cores. What cube would you recommend for that (aside from this one lol)

Interesting, the GuHong isn't overly expensive so it could be a good cube to try but that's just my opinion. And thank you for the suggesting on the RS3M V5, this is definitely a cube that I want to try!
I dont really know if i like it cuz it feels really wierd likeits really really blocky my old main was rs3m super 2021 and its really flexible and i feel like i dont really like its tightness i feel like flexible is better
I own one, im not hating u, but this cube stupidly overrated. I tried to make a corner cut of a bit more than 45 degrees and it broke. But its feeling its rlly good. Overall, just get the rs3m v5 , is better in any aspect of this. The tv3 too, but its price is x2 of the guhong
Interesting. I agree that the corner cutting isn't the best however I haven't had any issue with it breaking. I think the the feeling for most people has been the reason they have said it's such a great cube.
@@UK_Cuber This of course depends on your personal preferences, but the Waverider is better at corner cutting, also has a kind of dual adjustment system and also adjustable magnets. But at the moment the MoYu V9 is my main. But I would still be interested in your opinion on the Waverider, give the cube a chance.

Yes, I liked it a lot. It comes prelubed and the feeling if crazy.

I have received my cube and it's amazing! I haven't changed the tension but it's so good I recommend for beginners who started cubing

I think that the Tornado V3 is much more adaptable to any style so probably that one.

They're pretty close for me however there are some more premium aspects to the Tornado that make it better in some peoples eyes.
I prefer the guhong since it’s smoother OOTB and it feels very stable and controllable but still quite fast

Yeah, this is always bound to happen, just try to find the most fun part of cubing and do that instead of going for results.

I would use mine more only the centre cap keeps falling off.

I would say it's sort of a mix of the both. It's definitely very smooth and fluid but there are times where it can be blocky whilst turning.
