Deathworlds can have plenty of living things. They are not planets that nothing can survive in (or at least not always), they are planets it is hard for humans to survive in. For example, a Deathworld can have plenty of living things that feel human brains taste good and don't to pass up a chance to take a bite of any nearby.
Hope this gets a lot more views, you deserve it as clearly this was a massive effort. Bonus kudos for helping me understand leveling, in the last 2 pathfinder games I'd just spam options as I play on easy anyway but now I kinda get it a bit more on this game
I've been waiting a long time for this. Rogue Trader is one of my favorite RPGs from the Warhammer line. I'm glad to see if coming to the video game sphere.
i was very hesitant to look up a guide for it since i wanted to experience everything firs. but with limited play time and the steep learning curve i felt like i had to lol. loving the game so far!
Thank you for doing this. I found this game through another content creator. I've never played crpg or rpg but for whatever reason I'm finding this really interesting . Thank you for going over the ground combat with all of the indicators and how they work. You are the only one that I have found who has taken the time to explain that part in any rpg. It takes a lot of the mystery out and makes the game seem playable to a newbie. Subbed btw.
Thanks for making this. I just bought the game and being presented with such a vast number of choices to make and things to pick from, while not yet fully understanding all the underlying mechanics and stuff felt a bit overwhelming, but after watching this guide I feel much better prepared for success. 👍
Wow! I've spent 15 hours playing blindly and having a good time. Super happy I came here to beef up the knowlege that I was missing. I was already loving the game but now I'm liking it even more.
Not very different from the concept of hit points. Think of it as how many wounds or points of damage that you can take. Like how hit points are how many "hits" you can take.
The game is excellent. I just wish Owlcat devs weren't contractually obligated to include some obnoxious secondary combat system. I hate the space battles in RT almost as much as I despised Crusade management in WoTR. Still, it's a small complaint next to the hours of excellent story, memorable comrades, and deep combat system.
I've wanted the game for a bit. I purchased it in the current sale. This video really takes a few watches, because there is SO MUCH INFO. Good job dude. subscribed
Stayed through the entire video. This is an excellent guide, and I just picked up the game in the Steam Spring Sale. Looking forward to getting started. Thanks for the great guide!
Using abelards ulti after using all his skills and then using the officer ulti to give abelard another turn he can kill about 10-20 enemies. Very busted mechanic imo, but the amount of chaff units that are thrown at you is very high aswell.
A lot of helpful stuff, thanks! Currently exploring the first system map so quite early on. About to rescue a tech priest! It’s very addictive! Already want to reroll my character tho!
If I know I can end a fight very soon, is there any penalty to using a desperate measure? Do I start the next combat with less momentum, does it afflict my party with a debuff?
Thanks a lot for the tutorial, just got the game yesterday, and I feel more confident starting a playthrough now 🙂 You just gave me even more urge to play it!
I used all my Medicae packs super early. Yes, it was dumb, I kow that now, lol. Where do I find or buy more? Can I craft any from the stuff I collect in the game? Also, tip for new players, DON'T USE UP YOUR MEDICAE EARLY. Most of the enemies are going to be easy. Save them for bosses or fights later on in the game.
@@fenrir7878 you can buy tons from merchants on various planets or trading ships in space. You just need the profit factor and reputation required to purchase them, but they are usually the most accessible items in their shop
I don't understand what's the use of Commerce skill, really? All trade is done by Profit Factor (PF) and Reputation. What, How and Where Commerce Skills come into play in trade???????? I don't see it!
So good, so helpful. I have been playing 40k for many years, but always get worried starting games like this in case I set things up poorly at the start. This has been hugely helpful
Woah woah woah... Haven't finished the video but how tf is damage sooooo high for Pasqual but ur wounds are so low ? Or atleast that other characters was. Usually they're all within the same ballpark. Atleast for mine, give or take 10. Im asking because im lv 29 around the end of act 2 i think. Most characters are in the 70s or 80s for wounds. But everyone dmg is still in 20s. Which is probably why all my battles are marathons.
I despise guides for games and what the internet in general has done to gaming (primarily pvp-games) but Jesus Christ, I truly need to atleast skim through this. I'm playing on playstation 5 and the UI is confusing and there is A LOT of stuff. I will keep comin' back to this video a few times when I'm stuck droolin with crossed eyes.
Hi there, thoroughly enjoyed your video, and am loving the game so far, (Just started) but have no idea what the "Stacks" are, and how they work, you did not seem to cover them.
Thanks so much for doing this!! The last CRPG I played was the original Baldurs Gate - things have moved on a bit since then 😂 Will defo be revisiting this video frequently, incredibly useful.
Thank you for this video. I have always wanted to try this style of game but find it way too overwhelming to even start. But coz of this video and my love of 40k I just purchased it and going to give it a shot!! 🤠👍
Well, this video is a near must see if you are going to play the game for the first time unless you want to go in near completely blind which is fun too. 8:45 I was half paying attention and heard something along the line of *War Hams* helping you to get ultimates faster.
i just watched the whole video now after yesterday starting the game and feeling totally overwehelmed by the information input. now i feel ready, thanks man much appreciate it
started a playthrough last night and didn't realize the intricacies of combat, builds, exploration, etc. that I was missing. New playthrough starts tonight! Amazing video
you picked literally my character lmao. this video deserves more views for sure (the tutorial is good but doesnt explain everything), I really want to understand what Im doing and not pick random shit that may hurt me in the process, I really like the game so this comes truly handy
Ok so can someone help me so I do not just lose the mood to play this game completely? I play on PS5. I play on the first main planet, with the rebels. I am through battles with rebels, there is a section with a lot of ladders to lower sections. My characters are CONSTANTLY running into traps and getting injuries, no matter wether I try to unlink the one that can disarm traps or move together. They run all over the place, they run forward after I get down on a ladder... Is there a way to stop them???? Is there a way to navigate through traps???
@@LuckyGhost Im right after the prologue, first planet, all I have in my party is who I had on the ship with me, plus the Mechanicus guy from this planet who joins our party. The traps are already revealed, with red lines on the floor and stuff...they run right in the line and get pelleted... or they also run through a place where steam comes out. It is not a trap they percieve , it just can be turned off by a valve. But as i go down the ladder, they run through it, before I could go to the valve and turn it off with someone.
Has anyone ever hear of the French game wakfu/ dofus? I loved those games tactical combat despite the graphics. This game reminds me of that but with A MUCH BETTER universe
I really appreciate this guide. I've been building my guys based on "best soldier" "best operative" etc guides but I just don't understand how the skills work and how to synergize them
i'm considering buying it, but how is it compared to Mechanicus? i played Mechanicus just for some moments and found it's too difficult (our techpriest neophytes too weak while necrons too strong and too many)
Love how most times i see vids, people say this is hard. Im playing on hard mode and sure most fights i see one party memeber drop but im wiping 20 people in a couple turns. And i havnt struggled once so far. My group is only level 10 so im not too far in but i still cant see why everyones having a hard time in this game
Thank you, this video helps me a lot to get a grip on what's what in the game. Pretty confusing for first timer like me, because I never play a Warhammer 40k game.

Game looks RADICAL. Thanks for the video!
Warhammer lore works SO well in a choice-driven CRPG title. amazing amazing world / lore / story

amazing guide . For begginers in these kinda of games are amazing , keep it up *thumbs up*
Well made guide, clearly a lot of work went into this. Subbed
Thanks a ton for the comment!
Wtf, when did 1 and a half hour pass? Rly enjoyed it as I'm getting ready to start Rogue Trader as a begineer .
I always love searching for a guide and seeing your name come up!
My man 🙏
What genius came up with the idea that hitpoints should be named wounds? This is so backward.
They tried to fit the name of HP into the warhammer-genre ...but I guess this is just confusing
It was originally meant to be the amount of wounds a character could take
Not very different from the concept of hit points. Think of it as how many wounds or points of damage that you can take. Like how hit points are how many "hits" you can take.
I was quite confused in the beginning

yeah this game has been awesome so far!
Fantastic Video!!! Thank you for putting together such an informative guide

Late to the party, but really grateful for beginner guides like this, cheers!
So many paid bots in the comments. It's a good game, but goddamn there are so many bots promoting this game.
Very good guide for starters. Covers pretty much everything to know for a start into the game.

Ma dude, you are a fucking beast. Thank you so much.
Tx for the guide. Just starting in the Warhammer series. Great game.

can you create / recruit full custom party ? or only the one char custom ?

Is this game too much for a ps5?
Best advice to new players, go play BG3.
Bg3 is so woke and gay....not to mention 5th edition dumbs down the rules to barney style. The writing is peak millennial writing too so so cringe
