Thanks Alan! I almost never do my act silent anymore. I use to do it on television in countries where I don't speak the language but I always missed being able to tease and joke with them. Now I rather like seeing the skill and the bubbles stand alone.
That was a really good show. They filmed at San Francisco State University in 1986 when we held the first ever New Vaudeville Festival. I had a lot of friends playing that event and several others that I met there and have been friends since.
I watched the young Tom Noddy a few hours ago. Seeing him like this now, i have tears in my eyes because 1. He still has the same beard and haircut 2. He's still blowing bubbles 3. He's smiling through it. He's won. This is what success looks like.
I have to wonder what 'smoke' he is using, as it has to have the 'weight' and 'density' of what he is used to creating and performing with. I guess he could answer it, but...makes you think how integral that composition of whatever tobacco he smokes has close aspects.
He use to smoke only when he practiced then he needed a bubble or two after every meal. (Or something like that, it was one of his jokes in another video of his :D)
@@usernameinvalid8 Vaporizers. Looks like he may be using vaporizers smoke. Nothing wrong there. Understandable, the use of tobacco products on TV began to become restricted into the 90's.

Tom Noddy- The Original BubbleSmith. His "Bubble Cube" trick is legendary. He's extremely witty too. Very talented to make a career with bubbles. Takes a bit of finesse no doubt.
He used to smoke to fill the bubbles with the smoke from the cigarrete which is a gas and something that does makes smoke when it comes from the land down under lol.
I just watched one of Tom's videos from when he was younger doing a similar act with jokes. It's so cute seeing him do the same act with a different flair as he ages. He seemed like a cool dude before, now he seems so cute and sweet :) He still has the same hairstyle and mustache. Now that's a man who knows himself and who he wants to be. Thank you Tom for the lovely entertainment!

I just saw the Johnny Carson clip of Tom last night, and he looks exactly the same, except a little older (like we all do!) but still seems to be just as cool as before!
a video of him when he was young popped on my feed a few days ago and now this was here. it’s surreal to see him old, especially when he looks exactly the same
I saw the show “Opium” in Vegas last week. There was an awesome bubble guy in that and he paid tribute to you. I was so impressed I had to look you up. Incredible. Thanks.
Wow you can really see his skills evolution after so many years. He really pushed himself to break through the limits of this capturing art. Good Job 😒😕

Tom Noddy
Tom, I first witnessed your bubble-fu back in the 80's on a show called The New Vaudvillians. Bravo sir, and thank you!

I’m glad that he quit smoking
yeah its great
I was about to say, I'm glad he found a way to do the smoke tricks without actually having to smoke.
Did he quit smoking? I think he does it this way because people are not allowed to smoke on tv anymore.
Me too :)

I've never actually watched Bob Ross on purpose. I seek out Tom Noddy performances though. I love it every time I see it.

He reminds me of Ron Jeremy 😏
How lol? He doesnt look anything like Neil degrass Tyson..
Just watched this cat on Carson. Crazy to see how may people are watching this in the last 2 days. That whacky algorithm.
Just saw the same video and now here I am
I just watched the 1980s version of this! You still have a smile on your face!
when he pulled the lightbulb from his pocket i just imagined him saying "im the bubble guy I make the rules" :)
Dope lol
This warms my heart. He does it with such love. It feels like Bub(ble) Ross

i like how happy he looks while doing this
Legend has it, he’s been doing this act for 50 years now

I saw Tom in Santa Cruz back in 1982. He was great back then and is as good now. Back then we burned one after the show. Wish he was here now.
i wish i loved something as much as he loves bubbles
