Mozart - Fantasia No. 3 In D Minor K. 397 Piano

- Mozart's popular K. 397 fantasia which was written in the year 1782. This piece was actually never completed by Mozart himself, but rather most likely completed (at least the last ten measures) by one of Mozart's admirers August Eberhard Müller. The structure of this piece is quite interesting being marked Andante - Adagio - Presto - Tempo primo - Presto - Tempo primo - Allegretto. A fantasia is a pretty free form style of music, not forced to be structured in any one particular way. This piece was written during a period in Mozart's life where he was seriously studying baroque music such as that of J.S. Bach. That's interesting because all the way up until the allegretto section, this piece has almost a romantic style feel to the music.

Hello everyone! Today I present you Mozart's fantasia in d minor. This is a piece I've really liked ever since I started listening to classical music. I've been practicing this a lot lately and was looking forward to uploading it for you guys to listen to! I may have uploaded it before it was totally performance ready, as I do still have a few weak spots that need work, because I really wanted to make this video. Regardless, I hope you enjoy my performance! I also hope that you have an amazing rest of your weekend! :)
Great job
Can you tell me how did you add LED effect without LED or what is the name of this effect on (After Effect)
@@acıydı I didn't use after effects for the artificial LEDs. You can do that with the see music piano app.
@@pianospiel1770tank you
May ı ask you how do you record your audio. do you use an audio interface or program
Lovely! I'm learning this right now. Very interesting piece with 2 distinct styles
Yes definitely. You have to be able to shift moods rather quickly with this piece! Good luck learning it!
One of my personal favorites. It has such a dear sadness and longing to it. You really played it quite musically. Job well done.
Thank you Eusebius, it took me quite a few takes actually to get usable material for a video! I'm glad I could upload one of your personal favorites.
@@pianospiel1770 ahh, yes, the struggles of getting a good take! It was well worth the effort, you sounded great!
@@Eusebiuspiano Aww thanks! :)
Beautiful! It sounds similar to modern piano works. Imagine how different it sounded or felt on historic pianos and modern ones.
Oh I'm sure! I would love to hear Mozart himself play this on a piano of his time.
I really enjoyed you playing this, thank you! I like this Fantasia alot
I'm so happy that you enjoyed!
Quite sad indeed, awesome playing Piano Spiel :)

Thank you very much! :)
Great, as always ;)
Thank you so much! :)
Gorgeous ! I love Mozart ! I am rather used to hear happy sonata by Mozart, but this fantasia is lovely ! Quite sad, the part who begin at 4:23 made me happier :)
Beautiful sound and effects, keep good work ! 😷
Yes, this piece is quite a departure from Mozart's normal, joyful style of composing. Thank you for watching! :)
Great performance as always! I've always loved this piece since I heard kassia performance. Your performance is just as good! Keep it up.
And by the way how do you change the color at 4:23?
Thank you so much! I'm honoured that you consider my performance to be even comparable to hers! She's an amazing pianist.
@@pianospiel1770 your also an amazing pianist!
@@ResonantP I used after effects and split the video.
@@ResonantP Thank you, that means a lot to me! :)
Very feelfully played. Excellent job!
Thank you!
Bravo! Well done, as usual. If there was a 'weak' spot, I certainly didn't hear it. :)
Thank you! :)
Awesome! Good job!
Thank you! :)
I really like this fantasia! Thank you for doing this one! My favourite part begins at 4:23. :)
You're welcome! :)
wow!!! this so well expressed. beautiful!
Thank you!!
That's wonderfully played!
Thank you so much!
Great performance bravo! .....the moment when the d major sun comes out after the storm 💜💜💜
Thank you so much!! :D
4:23 Maybe I try to get the piece in my own style, no more fakes - Mozart
Haha, up until 4:23 almost seems like it's by a different composer other than Mozart!
@@pianospiel1770 It was actually Mozart's Student August Eberhard Müller who composed the part you are referring to. Mozart died while composing the piece and he only wrote the first 97 bars of the piece.
@@novastorm7841 Very interesting. Thank you for informing me.
@@pianospiel1770 No problem, I am glad I could be of help.
Beautifully done! 👏
Thank you 🙏
Very nice, thank you for playing :)))
You're welcome! :)
Suggestion?... Symphony #5 by Beethoven
素晴らしい、日本から拍手👍🎹Nice Piano
Good from Japan.
I subbed you.
Thank you, welcome to my channel :)
this piece is nice
This was very interesting to watch. This piece isn't the type of thing I would usually listen to, but I enjoyed it a lot!
Right now I am learning Je te veux by Erik Satie, so I can play it along with my brother who will play this on the flute, and a friend who plays the cello. It is still very much a work in progress, but it's getting there!
I'm glad you enjoyed! That sounds like it'd be an awesome trio! Good luck with practicing!
This is wonderful, I love this piece and u played it very well. Subbed! I also make piano covers!
Thank you! Welcome to my channel. You have a good channel, I like your videos!
This is a sad piece of Mozart... your playing is so good as always!
Thank you so much TSP PIANIST!
So gloomy
Great performance. :)
Thanks! :)
By the way, what's your favorite Mozart piece? Keep it up.
It's difficult for me to choose just one piece. Some of my favorites are: Don Giovanni overture, Die zauberflöte overture, his 25th and 40th symphonies and his requiem.
@@pianospiel1770 oh cool! His symphonies are very famous. My favorite piece is probably requiem to! Keep up the great work.
May I ask what Vst you used? If it’s PianoTeq, what piano? 😁
Yes, it's pianoteq. I use the Steinway model D preset but slightly modified.
@@pianospiel1770 Awesome! What changes did you make to it? Please tell me! 😄
I made mostly reverb alterations.
