I just wanted to say that the fact that you uploaded this version even if you had that little mistake at the final part, helps me a lot as a pianist. I'm always concerning about everything being perfect, and you're being a reminder that no matter the mistakes, we can share beautiful interpretations. Thanks a lot.
I can relate to being a perfectionist in both piano and drawing. In a performance you don’t want to stop if you make a mistake but you gotta role with it. It makes the music a little more human rather than playing perfect. Playing everything right is expected and that’s boring. So thats my long take haha. I’m glad you liked the video
Thanks! Coming across a public piano is so fun and i bet I’ve played this. I got most of it down. Maybe I’ll work on memorizing it all. It just takes practice. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video…it reminds me of what music used to be…a special language that only some could understand or perform…even if not ‘perfect’ by todays standards still something awe inspiring to watch. Good on you! Keep up your great work!
Thanks you so much! I had fun performing this piece! It’s funny I strive not to me too much of a perfectionist or I might go insane haha. Thanks for watching
That is one beautiful piano just right for Debussy's music and one sensitive interpretation. I will return for inspiration when I decide to tackle this piece and its polyrhythms.
Thanks so much! Learning this piece can range from days weeks or even years depending on where you’re at in your playing. I would practice the song by breaking it down into sections playing VERY slow one hand at a time. When you can play it at that speed then try it a bit faster and try adding both hands. Hope this helps!
@@joaovieira6863Clark de lune is definitely much easier in my opinion, getting the polyrhythms spot on in this is very difficult compared to clair de lune which doesn’t really have any polyrhythms
Hey thx for liking my music! Right now my songs are momentarily private on UA-cam because I would like to copyright them before I make them public again. Once that’s done I got much more projects in store! :) Edit: You can view summer was here on my Instagram at instagram.com/tommyhofmeyer
Wow, you played this beautifully! This is really helpful for me as I'm struggling with fingerings in some areas. How do you do the pedaling for this piece? I'm confused when to use the pedal for this piece.
Thanks for watching! That’s a good question. Typically you want to pedal when you play a new chord do the sound doesn’t mush all muddy. As to fingering that takes practice getting down the muscle memory. I always am writing down the fingering and chords that are a struggle. Good luck learning the piece!
You’re right, I’m a beginner learning this and from what I can play, He seems to be guessing, and relying on the sheet music which is fine as it proves his sheet reading skills.
I saw on your profile that you are self-taught, how long have you been playing? Playing this piece is my dream! I only have 8 months of practice and I'm also self-taught, hence the question Beautiful performance ❤
One of my favorite Debussy piano works. Always seemed a shame he didn't give this one a descriptive title because it is another one of his beautiful float away, dreamy pieces that warrants a title more than s style indicator. Maybe "Water Sprites"?
I’ve been playing like since I was ten so a little over a decade. Im mostly self taught started learning by ear and worked up to reading sheets. Thanks for asking
One of the most beautiful songs, ever written. And you played it, masterfully.
Thx for watching! It’s definitely one of my favorites!
far from good performance

Beautiful
Thanks a lot!
Nicely played, just remember to eventually learn it by memory, because you’ll never know when a piano may show up.
Thanks! Coming across a public piano is so fun and i bet I’ve played this. I got most of it down. Maybe I’ll work on memorizing it all. It just takes practice. Thanks for watching!

HARP PLAYER COMPOSING FOR THE PIANO =LOVELY
You are great!
Thanks!
I need to master the final section of this piece, Other than that, you've played well, just a few small mistakes to fix and that's it.
I played this piece a while back, love your interpretation, played well even on a digital piano :D
Thanks! For a digital piano I love the the feel. Very organic and not mechanical like a real acoustic piano
nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
very beautiful❤️ i will do this one next
muito bom
Thanks! 🙏
Esta melodía es pura fantasía...te transporta a otros mundos,como en una ensoñación,mundos maravillosos y desconocidos...es hipnotizante✨️
You have beautiful hands.
Thank you! 😊
it's insane that you can sight read and play with this level of clarity
Thank you! I practice sight reading almost daily to play harder pieces like this so I’ll pretend that I sight read this lol
nicee :)
Thankss :)

@@artfularthur9687 hey how hard is this piece compared to claire de lune?
@joaovieira6863 I’d say there pretty equal in difficulty. Just practice slow till u get the notes under your fingers :)
@@artfularthur9687 damn, i played claire de lune last year but now my teacher gave me this

Good ear! Minor flaw there. Thx for watching!
Where can i get the sheet

Anyone else think of stargazing ... or was it just me
good but it started sounding odd from 1:10 are you aware that thats not how the original piece is played or am I just tripping?
Pretty sure it is how the original sounds?
@sammya7117 watch another video and the part I pointed out isn't the same. I can play the full piece and around 1:10 it's not the same. 💀
yea pretty sure its a lil different
You’re right, I’m a beginner learning this and from what I can play, He seems to be guessing, and relying on the sheet music which is fine as it proves his sheet reading skills.

Piano name?
I got a Yamaha arius. It’s got a nice feel with more weight to the key comprised to other electric keyboards :)
