- I've learned a lot these past few months since beginning to post "hello, hello" on Webtoon, and thought I'd make a little video going through my experience! Hope anyone watching can find it entertaining or helpful at all :) It's also been a while since I've edited any videos so forgive any odd moments throughout ;u;

its crazy how most webtoon creators work out the details of their story in a couple months to a year but here i am after over 2 years and only NOW am i working out the chapter-to-chapter, nitty gritty details ;__; (tbf, its a worldbuilding heavy story with a whole magic system to boot and takes place over the course of 3 years and two whole realms and good god theres a lot of characters!!)
2nd update: i deleted the first update cuz i came a long way since i commented this BUT HOLY SHIT A LOT OF YOU GUYS REALLY LIKED THIS COMMENT WTF here to let yall know i am still alive and have decided to drop my previous webtoon as it rlly was not working for me. I feel like since i fucked up w the beginning development it was keeping me stuck for like 3 years. Plus the concept of it doesnt appeal to me and my tastes now as im a different person from the one that first brainstormed my beloved idea and thats okay! Im still making a webcomic but its way different from the other and is something i feel much better suited to write now for my first comic, plus working much more efficiently so hopefully i'll have some solid concepts by the end of this year!

yeah, it's definitely different depending on person and story 😭 a couple years ago, i had an idea for a webcomic that had a ton of worldbuilding and i got so burnt out working it out that i abandoned it hahaha now, i know that for me (my work ethic), i can't spend too long in preproduction, or else it'll go stale. all the kudos to people who can spend so long working on one thing, i really admire you!

I personally think art style is the biggest key to getting success as a comic artist. Yours fits perfectly into the casual yet pretty webcomic aesthetic. It’s airy and yet grounded.
Stand Still Sat Silent will always be the benchmark I compare folks comics too. It’s not as ridiculous as Kill 6Billion, but it’s also extremely stylized and filled with atmosphere

thank you so much for this video! I am going to document the journey of me making my webcomic here on youtube. From that first scratch of paper of an idea to final upload on webtoon. i wanted to be transparent. Neither of us know if her mentioning it did anything, especially since she's not a full time employee. Apologies if it sounded tone deaf.
I mean “working for webtoon” doesn’t get you much in the way of choosing what gets popular. Editors work for webtoon and they don’t have much sway over any decision making that isn’t restricted to the content of whatever comic they’re working on. A social media manager would be considered working for Webtoons, but I can’t imagine them having much sway over anything involving comic popularity. Unless their friend is a CEO or someone with actual…yknow…*stakes* in the company, them simply working there wouldn’t automatically do anything. There was really no need for the passive aggressive bs.

Well, from what i read so far, you can use tagalog in ur future webtoon! Though, you may need to translate it into english to get more people to read it.

Isn't it hard to draw the webtoon by yourself? i tried several times but i spent a lot of time on chapters and i quit halfway
It really is omg 😭 I make a webtoon and even though the episodes are short, it takes me forever for finish an episode and it’s so time consuming
What size canvas do you use?
350dpi but pixels vary, around 2000/3000 for length or width
