5:24 I really needed to hear this, and I know I'll need to hear it again and again. I can draw pretty decently now but I keep delaying ultimately due to the fear of getting fed up with how my art looks, or not being able to draw something. So I'm doing tonnes of studies now even though I know I'll never be ready to start
yess that's the way!! you could try doing studies and then something for your webtoon even if its just drawing one random panel. once you keep creating and see yourself actually improving then you'll be much more motivated!
@@salem7622 right on! I actually made a short comic last week (5 panels) or so and it took 3 hours or so. It was tough, especially since I didn't use 3d models or add a background, but it's sooo satisfying to look at!
@@swisdom9117 NICEEE I'M PROUD OF U!!! It definitely is satisfying to finish something even if it's small bc you're proving to yourself that you can actually do it and you will just get better and better as long as you stick to it
i use textured lineart for my comic and it's so annoying that I can't use the bucket tool, but it's a sacrifice i'm willing to make for the sake of style
omg i feel this i sometimes use textured brushes and its HELL to fill but at least there's small tricks like inverting selection and the enclose and fill tool
it depends!! when i first started and before i had a full time job i would be able to create a chapter in 1 week, but then as i kept going it would take me 2 weeks for 1 chapter bc i didn't want to burn myself out 😵 i think just working at it a little bit every day is great!!
Are you creating your full webtoon before uploading? It looks really interesting! Im still working on the script for my webtoon.. somehow i keeo getting new ideas
yeah i think i'll create it all and upload at once but honestly that could change! i feel u on that i get new ideas all the time when i'm writing and luckily for me they always end up improving and fitting into the plot. i think as long as you know the beginning, climax and end of your story then getting new ideas is fine!
I think it definitely depends on a lot of things like how often you want to publish a chapter, how much time you have to dedicate to it, and how fast your workflow is. The best advice I can give you is to answer those 3 questions and then figure out how many hours a day or week you can realistically stick to it over the long term!
Thank you so much for all the tips! I'm sketching up my first chapter and am so thankful for all the "work smarter, not harder"-advice.

You can definitely work with firealpaca, especially in more simplistic, cartoony and chibi styles.

Does Clip studio cost money?
Yes you can buy an annual, monthly or life time plan! They have a couple sales a year so if you can I'd wait for those!
@@salem7622 thank you 🤍🤍
How long do you think is good to work on a webtoon. meaning like for one day 2 hours and so on?? Cause I am planning to start my webtoon.
