- What sticks out about this game, is how well the Lions defense played. Getting motivated to play the Cowboys in the 80's was a big deal. It was a good assessment for how good your team was, if you were able to beat them.
Thanks for posting. I was at that game and took some pictures. The Silverdome was considered state-of-the-art for its prime years. It hosted Super Bowl XVI. Then time caught up to it, and was it ever neglected and dilapidated. It had been up for sale for half a million bucks before it was finally demolished in 2018, collapsing grudgingly after a couple of tries.

Can’t complain with the Glieber/vermeil pairing.. and def no knock on Wayne walker..but if Brookshier had a quality color man like Dick earlier on, Brookie woulda been a much better PBP man and may have gotten higher prominence and stayed longer at CBS..
