Jig Hooks Used: www.jiggeek.com/
Coastal fishing off the rocks for bottom fish is one of the most fun types of fishing I grew up doing. Today I caught a couple eater rock fish and greenling on a swim bait and herring style jig. I hope you enjoyed.
Its been a very long time since iv uploaded a fishing video and this one is nothing crazy, just a bit of fun off the rocks to have a nice fish dinner. To those of you who worried about me being off youtube for so long, I did make a little text post on the community section of my youtube channel but I should have made a video to at least let my community know I'm doing alright.
To those of you returning subscribers after a full year of no uploads I deeply appreciate the continued support!
Well like I said, if you post, we will watch! Even if it’s 6 months apart. Making videos isnt easy it costs time energy and money so I am understanding of your break
No pressure to produce. 👍😁
You definitely have a gift with your editing skills.
I like how you added the timelapse between bites. Shows the full real experience. Cheers!

Welcome back! Those Lil Nib lures are awesome, I've even used the small pink ones in freshwater jigging for coho and I was successful.

Newbie angler here. Just wondering where this spot is? If you don't mind me asking. Thanks!
Thanks for this. I really want to get into fishing and find it intimidating. I don't want to do fly fishing, just try my luck in the region and don't know where/ how to start.
Aye!!!! Your back
Have u been doing any salmon fishing
Yo freeman how was your salmon season last year? We had a pretty crazy run over here on the mainland.
Did a bit of catch and release, had a few good days in the salt too. Great to here things are going strong over there too!
Where is that exact spot located?
Where is this?
where is this
Anybody going out to fish for the rockfish in area 28 please check the local conservation areas.
Omg I was worried you had quit UA-cam I was so sad
Where’s your descender? Total violation of the regulations.
Never rationalize your bad fishing habits with regulations or anecdotal assumptions on depths. I didn’t even mention your catch management when they leave the water. 🤦🏻♂️
I guess my older comment didn’t post properly, sorry. What I said was that I had a descender on me, just that I was fishing sub 50 foot water in this video, which doesnt meet the depth threshold for barotrauma. Also, my descender doesn’t have a setting that shallow, especially for where I’d be trying to drop it down directly beside shore.
But I totally get what you’re saying. Loads of shore fishing spots in our area drop straight down into 100+ feet. If I was going to fish one of those spots, I would have done so.
@@jasonevans5401 I wasn’t assuming the depth, this is an area I know well. I can show you a depth map of the exact spot from this video if you want. If you look out at those islands just off shore where I was fishing, in between there and the shore I was fishing from there is a huge underwater shelf that doesn't go deeper than 50 feet besides during the highest tides. And theres no need to be snide man. If you can point out to me some way I improperly handled the fish I’d be happy to make sure I do it correctly in the future. I got them back into the water quickly, which is more than some people bother with. Besides falling a foot or two through open air until they hit the water, I don’t see anything bad about it. But again, if im missing something, please tell me. I do care about the wellbeing of the fish after release, not just whether I can get away without putting effort in.
Where is this???
