After 3 failed aluminium gaskets on my Mitsubishi Evo X downpipe to cat flange I tried Remflex and so far its held up perfectly. I'm tuned to 400bhp so it takes a lot of abuse and its so far not leaking at all. They're quite thick and compress really well.
GREAT review, I have a 68 Chevy inline 6, 292 cid, I rebuilt the engine, the intake and exhaust manifold s are badly warped, so I sent them to be machine d, But now where they both bolt together in the center at the plenum the gap is Extremely large, like 0.225. That's almost 1/4" inch !! There's No gasket that can seal a gap like this !! So I made a full spacer plate that is 3/16" thick, 0.186, now I'm going to use a Remflex, plenum gasket and see if it works !! Thanks for the Review,
Thanks for your review. I'm putting in a new LS3 and a new set of headers. I was going to go with a new pair of GM gaskets and the parts guy talked me into using these. You have made me feel better about my purchase. I don't want ANY leaks!
Sorry mate, but I don't. They basically install like any exhaust gasket, which would vary from installation to installation. However you just need to make sure you don't 'force' it into place so that you don't break them.
Very sound advice. I just ordered a set of these after watching your video. My engine is not turbocharged as of yet but I wonder if they will hold once it is.
If I use the plain sheet, were you cutout the gasket, do you still only use 20 ft/lb of torque? I am leaking at my catalytic converter at the flange were it connects to the headers. It is an after market h pipe and it will not seal for the life of me.
Well, this video is about the sealing of headers. As such I didn't cover the minutia of headers installation or maintenance. Plus in this day and age, I would hope most know about locking header bolts! And if not, then you just informed them.😜

Thank you for the input of your experience! I'm sure others will benefit from it!
Best gaskets hands down, have had the same set on my car for 6-7 years no issues. thanks for your review..

Sounds like quite the ordeal you have going there. Best of luck with it.

Glad to hear the video helped out. Good luck with your project!!
Good review. Thumbs up. Do you have a video on the install?

Pretty good video, man. Very well spoken.
Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it.

@ David Perkins: From my understanding of the product, they probably will. Best of luck!

The 20 Ft/lb only applies to these as they are made of graphite and will compress/rebound to some extent.
Maybe tell people that have headers that they should have the special locking washers so let the header bolts won't come loose.
