Yet you overshadow it completely with this "rant" over SMP. And when it comes to map, that is complete bullorcks. We all know that every map in the MP 1-8 + SMP were built around going in a circle. I can see your argue about the lack of options (that i agree you with), but going around the map is just following the MP formula. Your solutions, allthough interesting, are just too much of a sidestep for MP-franchise. I hope too never see Nintendo reintroduce the car.
I’m honestly surprised that they didn’t make a Mario Party app on smart phones. They had already made so many bad Mario Party games, why not also make a terrible pay-to-win Mario Party game?
@@timothydarden6133 I'm so happy I'm not the only one who feels this way!!! I've been keeping myself entertained with older games: DS, 3DS, Wii, N64...good games I love. But the switch doesn't even have a Mario Kart 9????

My dad for the longest time still wanted to play videogames with me, but unfortunately our interests in games clash. Where he prefer like Call of Duty and shooters in general, I prefer Mario platformers, Mario Party, Mario kart etc. I also like choice based games, which are of course single player games. I do like the Uncharted series, but my dad moved on from that and I haven’t seen him play it in ages.
What makes Mario party 1 stand out is its treatment towards loss. When you lose, the game lets you know it. That harsh music-sting, the loss-state animations, the cutscenes that play when you place in 4th, losing your coins to your opponent. Mario Party 1 was a friendship-killer because when you lost, the game straight-up rubs your face in it.
It's a fine balance. The og Mario Party was a little TOO ruthless IMO. For example, the character who comes in last place will cry and end up dying or something in the ending cutscene, just to add insult to injury. There's a lot of BS like how losing certain mini games will take coins AWAY from players. Imagine you get to a star space with over 20 coins, but at the last second you lose a mini game and can't afford one anymore. Keep in mind some mini games are entirely luck based, require you to risk hurting your palm and busting your control stick to win, and are objectively rigged in favor of one team. Sure, this is pretty hilarious with the right group of people, but I can see why it ended friendships. I think MP2 struck a better balance. Yes, there's still lots of luck involved and players can swap places at the drop of a hat, but they don't rub it in as much when you lose. It feels more like Mario Kart, like sure you can get hit by a blue shell, and go from first to last place, but you have plenty of chances to grab an item and do the same to the jerks in front of you before speeding by them. It's all part of the game. That kind of back and forth can keep everyone invested no matter how insane it gets when it's balanced properly IMO.
Mario Party 8 was my very first console game. The gameplay footage was a HUGE nostalgia rush for me. Also, computer player Birdo always crushed me in story mode. I always considered Birdo to be OP when I was younger because of that.
Same! My uncle had a wii and I absolutely LOVED Mario party 8. When I finally got a wii, the only thing I cared about was getting Mario Party 8. I also remember the tightrope mini game, flip the chimp and sick and twisted being the bane of my existence as a kid haha
My idea of mario party "ultimate" (getting the best of all games): - Themed boards and costumes based on the theme (like in mario party 2) - orb based item system like in mario party 5-7 where you could put traps on board spaces - day and night system like in mario party 6 which would slightly change routes and/or gimmicks/traps of the board depending on day or night. - gold pipes would be like magic lamps in older games. They cost more than the actual star and appear very rarely.Which means you cant always just get them whenever you go to the item shop. - full board online multiplayer both with friends and randoms. And if you play with randoms and someone leaves mid session he will get penalty (like not being able to play online for certain amount of time) and will be replaced by a bot. - 8 player multiplayer option (both online and offline).Offline could still be possible since there are already games on switch with 8 player local multiplayer (smash bros, luigis mansion) making it the ultimate party game if you have a lot of people over. Some minigames would be exclusive to 4 players and some to 8 players but most of them could work both in 4 player and 8 player modes.2v2 could work as 4v4 or 4 teams of 2 and 1v3 could work as 2v6 in 8 player mode - 200 minigames.100 minigames would be "retro" minigames from previous games and 100 would be new ones - at least 6 boards - big and complex boards like in older mario party games.Dice blocks would also go up to 10 instead of 6.However characters can still have their unique dice blocks if you want better chance of getting specific number. Also make them fast paced like in older mario party games. The newer ones (especiallly SMP) are painfully slow. - Future DLC support for extra content. One DLC could add one board,1 or 2 new characters and 10-20 new minigames - The car gimmick can actually be in the game as long as its a seperate mode.It could work as singleplayer mode or coop mode but the main board play should be like classics - Bowser should be a villain of the game rather than playable character. As much as I like having more playable characters I prefer bowser being the one who screws you over in the game instead of kamek. So he would have his spaces where he screws you over and have bowser minigames - Boss battle minigames. They could be either part of bowser minigames or they could be after the last turn - Also duel minigames, battle minigames and bowser minigames definitely need return. - Cutscene by the end of the board where winner defeats bowser (like in mario party 2) - Stars cost 20 coins (like in classics) unless the board has specific gimmick that changes their prices.
I'm with you for most of these, it sounds SUPER fun. A few nitpicks though... 1. I think orbs should only be able to override blue and red spaces, not the unique spaces. Most of the spaces on a board are going to be valid targets, so orbs will still be useful, but this way they're not as game breaking. 2. I don't mind magic lamps being available in item shops, but they should be VERY expensive, like 40 coins (the price of two stars). Boo charges 50 to steal a star, so that's not unreasonable. If you manage to get filthy rich through mini games or luck and you have 40 coins to burn, then you should be able to buy a lamp if you desire. Maybe items should go on sale for the player in last place and on the last five turns, to give people chances to make a big comeback. 3. I'm torn on the idea of 8 players. You could do it, but if you just ported over retro mini games, they wouldn't translate very well to 8 players, because they were designed with 4 players in mind. Furthermore, there would be far more time spend waiting for other players to take their turns and make little choices like viewing the map before taking a fork in the road or deciding what item to buy. It has a lot of potential, but it would have to be built from the ground up as a game designed for 8 players in every regard, from the boards to the mini games. 4. I think the unique dice Super introduced are a spicy idea with a lot of potential, but as we have seen they can be abused easily when they aren't balanced properly. I would be very careful with something like that. I suggest there's an item you have to buy at an item shop or win in an item mini game called the "Super Dice" that allows you to roll your character's unique dice instead of the normal dice FOR ONE TURN ONLY. That means the unique dice are a factor in the game, but they don't completely dominate the whole experience. They should be an exciting bonus that are much harder to abuse. Otherwise, your ideas are pure gold. Let's call it Super Mario Party 2, and it will kick ass.
I'd pay so much money if they made a Mario Party Collection with the old games for the Switch just like they did with the 3D All Stars Collection. Edit: For everyone who thinks that my comment automatically means that I love 3D All Stars and time limited releases - obviously I do not. The point of my comment was to express my wish for all Mario Party games to be on ONE game card and to be sold without any time limits.
Honestly I loved super. It’s a step in the right direction. I found the character dices to be a fun touch to add some strategy and the mini games were very fun. Only thing now they need to work on are a few more stages that are bigger, return stars to 20 coins or at least make that it’s own mode and give a larger item selection pull and a proper online mode.
Honestly adding new boards or minigames wouldn't make the game any better. Unless they change the rules of the boardgame. But they finally got their shit together in Superstars
While I don’t like the newest version of Mario party my children love it. We still play it almost every Friday night...even if I want to shoot myself in my foot when they ask to play with me.
It's literally just the older games but less fun. And they wanted a traditional game, they got something pretty similar, and now the fans hate it. I guarentee you 10 years down the line people are gonna be saying how super mario party was the best of the mario parties that were "The downfall" and that it's one of the best in general. That's just how it goes
Basically they are on the right track just need to keep going though the same amount that we used to get won’t happen anymore because unlike Hudsonsoft who could pump these games out a ton ND cube can’t as they work on a lot of smaller Nintendo games
@@louiepikmin3184 The minigames in SMP are pretty good but boards suck. And its extremely barebones even compare to classics. It would work as first entry game in the series but now it feels like it lacks so much content. They dont even need to add anything inovative just add good boards with interesting gimmicks (they need to be bigger and more complex with more board space variety),good items (items in SMP suck and are generally just boring) add online multiplayer board play and its all set.Mario kart has been the same for many years and no one complained because "if it aint broken dont fix it".MP could easily follow the same path. The only "new" thing that was added in newest mario kart is literally just anti gravity tracks.I never asked that much from new mario party games.Just good minigames, good boards, good items and online board play is all it needs.I guess thats too much to ask.
I’m so glad I found you. Most people on the internet talking about these things didn’t grow up with the Wii, they’re much older. I grew up on Mario Party 8 and was disappointed with both 10 and super. My favourite Mario game is 3D world and my favourite Wii U game is Nintendoland
Custom dice blocks are literally the only good new thing in SMP. They should’ve added updates. Imagine updates for more boards, mini games, modes, board spaces
If anyone is looking for a new classic Mario Party experience, my buddy and I created a Minecraft map called Super Voxel Party. It’s a fully functioning Mario Party map with 4 classic style boards and 35 minigames (with a 5th board and 5 more games coming soon). It’s a labor of love made BY Mario Party fans FOR Mario Party fans. 🤘
I found what you’re saying about Mario party very interesting , specifically where you mention having fun with the game itself and not just the people you’re with. I haven’t played 1-8, but one of the games that defined my childhood was Mario party DS. Mostly by myself, because I didn’t get together with friends often as a kid, and no one else in my family had a DS. But oh man, even by myself that was my favorite game ever. I sunk so many hours into it, it was practically all I’d play on the DS. Road trips, rainy days, on the school bus, that’s usually what I’d play. The most recent Mario party game I played was Mario party 10. Sure it was kinda fun with family, but I never found enjoyment in playing by myself or really much in the game itself. I’m glad I watched this before purchasing super Mario party because from the way you described it, it definitely isn’t the same as the originals. Great video!!
I wouldn't let this video put you off buying the game, IMHO. Is it as good as some of the previous titles? Big no. Is it still a good game? Yes! Especially if you have a good group of people to play it with. The fun might be coming from those people, but it's a vehicle for that fun to happen in the first place. If you're like me and struggle to find new games for your friend group to make sure nobody gets too bored of any of your regular titles, this is one to add to the library. That said if you do own a gamecube or one of the wiis with backwards compatibility, you should absolutely pick up 4-7. Best titles in the series!
Well I'm torn. I recently got Mario Party 8 to play with my daughter, but just after a few minutes she became bored with it. I think we were both just expecting to play mini-games together not having to unlock them first playing on the board. I wonder if we would enjoy the simpler Mario Party 9 more 🤔
Right? I've stopped buying new Nintendo titles altogether because they have just all been disappointing. Last one I bought was Mario Maker 2. Boy was that a waste of money. (Not because it was bad, but because you have to be involved in the online community to get it's full worth.) Pretty much everything they've released since has looked very disappointing. Luigi's Mansion 3. Zelda Dynasty Warriors. Pokemon SW/SH (do not get me started on this piece of garbage). I don't know what happened to Nintendo, or why they can't keep making games at Odyssey/BotW quality, but man, it's sure sad.
@@will_of_europa It’s a shame. The switch has so much potential with games like Odyssey, Botw, and smash ultimate. Honestly even Mario kart 8 is a really good game. Most of the others are disappointing tho
Mario Party definitely isn’t fizzling out. I personally think they did a good job with Super Mario Party, sure it wasn’t as good as any of the other original parties, but it was definitely a step towards the revival of the older games.
You could work together as a group of 4 for the first time in Mario Party. Key pa way and Running of the bulb from Mario Party 1: Are we a joke to you?
Ironically Mario Party 1 was the worst of Hudson Soft's classic games and both of those mini games were boring. Of all the things to bring back, why did ND Cube pick that one? lol
The only problem I have this video is that Mario Party 8 is used as the basis for "good mario party games." But I'm clearly wrong for thinking it's the weakest of the mainline Hudson games
I remember when I got my GameCube I rented Mario party 6 at the Hollywood video near my house. Have a lot of good memories playing with my siblings and it takes me back to a simpler time.
With Super Mario Party Jamboree, lets hope we finally, FINALLY, get an all new Mario Party that doesn't rely on the past that can stack up to the first 8
Mario Party 10 is actually my favorite. Full disclosure, it was the first Mario Party I ever played, so it does have that unfair advantage. I now have that, all three for the 3DS and Super Mario Party for Switch. I think Super is kind of lame. If they make another one for Switch, I'd love to see them base it on the Star Rush model. I loved that style and it also speeds up the game.
Catherine Tyndale Yeah. Our memory can be weird at times lol. I still have the game and play it occasionally. Out of the 8 characters, she’s not on the roster.
@@sweetpetit I have the game. It was on one of my first DS cards. In fact I still have the card with the game. But my DS is broken my family has fixed it many times it's broken again. and they haven't fixed it since. I don't think they'll ever fix it.
He falsely said the newest party only has 1-6 dice which is incorrect. He completely overlooked the fact that different characters can have higher dice and you can acquire allies during the game to get different dice
My rough draft idea for a Mario Party game: 1. Traditional Mario Party (with Day and Night cycle option) 2. Car Party 3. Bowser Party 4. Amiibo Party (it's a little different from traditional party, so I thought I would include it) 5. Story mode
At first I disliked Super Mario Party for the same reasons-cheap star, small map, and reduced dice size. But the game is better because of the changes. Generally what will happen in the old games is that stars spawn so far apart that if someone has 2 or 3 star leads, that person will likely win. Because everyone knows this, they kind give up halfway thru the game. Having smaller map where you can reach stars easier and with right rolls can even get 2 stars at once, and the fact stars are cheaper now with 2nd and 3rd places getting partial coins, keep the game competitive a lot longer than the original versions. My only complaint is 4 maps are too little.
Mario Party Superstar just released yesterday and I bought it and played it with my friends (just after lock down). It was a lot of fun! All boards are super fun! However, I still like Super Mario Party, my friends and I created a lot of good memories from it, really like to co-op mode and mini games, I feel it is more friendly to new players who never played Mario Party games before.
I actually really like the latest entry. It’s way better than 9 and 10 that’s for sure. It can get strategic with the character dice rolls even tho it’s RNG. Me and my girl would play it after work all the time and get super competitive. Although I think online play should be a thing by now and it needs more boards.
I think the biggest problem with super Mario party is the fact that not only the boards are much smaller, but the dies have been reduced to 6. I find it incredibly frustrating when I have multiple turns land on 1-3 and I feel like I get nowhere the entire game. The old Mario parties did not have this problem because the chances of getting these low rolls were smaller.
I personally think, the two player system on the switch is kinda cool. The only thing that I would change is the fact that everyone earns points in the mini games. But other from that I kinda love it
What i Really dislike in Super Mario party is that almost in every mini game every player gets coins.. so the losers get coins to I want that Ruthless stuff back from the older mario party games
@@Mark-wr1hz same I liked those sages a lot especially Chilly Waters. My favorite mini games from that was probably Aces High, merry go chomp, Bounce n Trounce, and Snowball Summit. I love all the mini games in Mario party 3 though
@@blueberryg9919 agreed, its underrated. Cut from the Team always gave me anxiety because I was afraid I might have cut the wrong rope. All the minigames in that game was fun, and my favorite map was probably the pirate one, of they one where you buy hotels, and keep putting money in it so none of the other players get it
I got my nintendo switch about 3 months ago with the goal of having a family console. first thing I looked for was a family game and I came across super mario party (last mparty i played was mparty 8 and ds) but after reading the reviews, I saw how bad it is and decided to get mario kart 8. after 2 days I experienced exactly what you were saying. I was winning every game and my family was far behind me. so I returned it. few days ago mario party superstars released and I finally experienced a good family game. we've been playing it non stop. I like how you explained the 'perfect random' because thats exactly what it provided. so luck based and it evens the playing field, yet I feel like my skills are still rewarded. The way you describe this 'perfect random' is perfect and I'm actually happy I saw this video, because now im able to put into words why I enjoy this game so much more than for example mario kart 8.
I'm a little late to this, since superstars came out. But my feelings are very similar. Before superstars, I played all the mario parties I own, 8, 9, 10 and super back to back for a nostalgia trip. I booted up 8. I was enjoying myself so much I played 3 boards. The fun minigames, great map design, etc. Then I got to 9. I just found myself bored going through the game. All that magic thrown away. It got even worse with 10. Then, I opened up super mario party. That magic came back a little bit, but faded away eventually. The game felt like mario party for babies. I liked the unique dice mechanic that opened up strategy, but you got so many coins that it felt pointless. The minigames felt awful as well. People say super is good, but its just not.
1: Good 2: Good 3: Good 4: Great 5: Great 6: Incredible (My Favorite) 7: Amazing 8: Amazing 9: Bad 10: Horrible (My least favorite Mario Party) S: A Bust
Something I want in the next Mario party is a separate mode that has the cars, Mario party 9 is one of my favourite games and my favourite Mario party game, of course we need the classic Mario party, but I really want a separate mode with cars
Loved your breakdown of the subject! To be honest, I enjoyed Super Mario Party way more than 9 and 10. The side modes are quite fun but unfortunately the boards in main mode suffered (as you pointed out). I'm actually surprised we didn't get any DLC seeing how lackluster they seem. I hope the next installment will be better.
I really don't understand why they didn't add MP1-3 to nintendo switch online. With full online support. That would make that cash-grab totally worth it.
I actually really liked Super Mario Party when I was just playing it with my brother and 2 CPUs but once we played all the maps, we lost interest and stopped playing it. I actually want to play it more but it’s held to such a low standard that my brother acts like it would be a disgrace to play it and I don’t know why. Edit: Actually the only part I really liked was the partner play, I feel like that’s a really good idea for a new mode. I’m glad you didn’t mention it in this video.
I also loved how everything could have happened in the old games, you turn into a ball, stuck into a Bowser custume, getting squished, literally fall into the sun, get sucked by a black hole, captured by a hungry dog, getting pushed from high places. Often you end up doing bad things to your friends for your own sake and there was no limit to that could happen. The modern Mario Parties rather feel like a sandbox for children under age 3. Sorry
The first few games are known for lots of things. Few of those include players getting drunk, controllers being broken from wear and tear, controllers being broken from rage, and friendships being strained or ruined.
Mario Party really is so easily understandable. When I was eight, I got a hand-me-down GameCube with Mario Party 6, Melee and Double Dash. The first game I ever played on my own console was Mario Party 6, with my big sister and our two younger siblings. It was fun and we all had minigames we won consistently.
FINALLY!!! another video by the king, I have been waiting soooooo long for the third part of this series, by the way, I love your videos they are great
What I don't understand is that Super Mario Party has been in the top 10 best-selling Switch games for almost 2 years and yet NDCube has not only not released any dlc for the game but hasn't even said a word about about what's next for the MarioParty series in any since SMP's release. Clearly money's not the problem so I think NDCube is in some kind of falling out with Nintendo and the next game in the series isn't even in production yet.
If Nintendo really wants to earn some brownie points they could totally re-release Mario Party 1 through 10 in a bundle for the Switch, or at the very least release them in separate bundles, like 1-4 and 5-8.
I feel like big twists can still happen in Mario Party 9 and 10. Towards the end of a game bowser summons bowser spaces. There is a chance bowser can take half of everyone’s mini stars and you have to fight for them. You can get like over 60 by winning just one mini game. It is a big twist especially since it’s towards the end of the game. I played Mario party 8,9,10 and some 3ds ones. I enjoyed all of them
Mario party then: Hahaha this is soo unpredictable because it has soo many boards and variety of minigames Mario party now (I'm talking about Star Rush because it's my favourite out of these modern ones): NOOOOOO I HATE YOU YELLOW TOAD YOU STOLE MY 3 ALLIES AND WON BOSSES BY THEM!!! NOOOOOooooOoOO
Agreed, I especially enjoyed the section about Asymmetrical Multiplayer. There's a goldmine of untapped potential there that (quite frankly) classic Hudson Soft titles never got right. If ND Cube manages to embrace it and make it fun, that would be a huge achievement.
Man, classic Mario Party was just the best. My sister, family, friends all played them endlessly. 2, 5, and 7 are the best imo, but there’s not a bad one in the bunch of 1-8. It really says something about the games’ designs when the 20 year old games are still a ton of fun whereas the game that’s only a couple years old is stale and boring already. Great video.
Mario Party 8 is the best one in my opinion. 1/2 of the boards are a big loop, but it felt right. The train is a big loop but it was so much fun to me growing up. The newer Mario party’s are lacking the exciting spaces like going through a vent or getting hit by a sign and sent back. Awesome video btw. Got a new sub ;)
You bring up an interesting point with the whole "do you have fun with the game, or with people" argument. Some of my favorite mario party moments have been playing SMP with my wife, largely due to how we handle the cpus. We usually put one on a higher difficulty and one on a lower difficulty, and my favorite game we ever played was one where the low difficulty cpu made all the wrong choices through the entire game, but similar to your experience with MP8 in this video, somehow ended up winning out of nowhere while we were all floundering around stealing stars from each other. But would that have been as fun with only myself playing with three cpus? Honestly I can't say. All I can say is thank goodness for Mario Party Superstars and its ACTUAL return to form, since that game is waaaaay more fun
This is phenomenal. I’ve been saying these things for years, although not as coherently or constructively as you presented here. The height of our fandom was Mario Party 7 on GameCube, with 8 player mode and the mic games. We were ready for Mario Party 8 on wii to blow us away, and while it was fun, it felt like a step backward that it was back to 4 players only. Then the Cario Party games, then of course the epic bust of Super Mario party. When friends would want to play this new game, knowing I loved Mario Party, I just didn’t enjoy it and felt it was a horrendous entry. I’m totally sharing this video with my friends and fam to show them what the difference between then and now is. Thanks!

And breaks your hands with plastic burns from your palms from the frustration with friends to try and outplay them
True
Two is the same. And Mario party 2 is still the best one in my opinion
Mario party 8 on that city stage and then getting the limo to the golden area with the mansion was pure euphoria.
I still play this board with my friend nearly every week, we never get bored of it and MP8 is our favourite MP
That’s my favorite stage and game
Mario Party 8 was my very first console game. The gameplay footage was a HUGE nostalgia rush for me. Also, computer player Birdo always crushed me in story mode. I always considered Birdo to be OP when I was younger because of that.
My top 2 favorite memories of the Wii definitely has to come from Mario party 8
I always PLAYED as Birdo in 7 as a kid. I still play Birdo whenever she's playable.
@@FTWorWTF only in 7,8 and 9 than
I play dry bones in mario party 8
Same! My uncle had a wii and I absolutely LOVED Mario party 8. When I finally got a wii, the only thing I cared about was getting Mario Party 8. I also remember the tightrope mini game, flip the chimp and sick and twisted being the bane of my existence as a kid haha
My idea of mario party "ultimate" (getting the best of all games):
- Themed boards and costumes based on the theme (like in mario party 2)
- orb based item system like in mario party 5-7 where you could put traps on board spaces
- day and night system like in mario party 6 which would slightly change routes and/or gimmicks/traps of the board depending on day or night.
Some minigames would be exclusive to 4 players and some to 8 players but most of them could work both in 4 player and 8 player modes.2v2 could work as 4v4 or 4 teams of 2 and 1v3 could work as 2v6 in 8 player mode
- 200 minigames.100 minigames would be "retro" minigames from previous games and 100 would be new ones
- at least 6 boards
- big and complex boards like in older mario party games.Dice blocks would also go up to 10 instead of 6.However characters can still have their unique dice blocks if you want better chance of getting specific number. Also make them fast paced like in older mario party games. The newer ones (especiallly SMP) are painfully slow.
- Future DLC support for extra content. One DLC could add one board,1 or 2 new characters and 10-20 new minigames
- The car gimmick can actually be in the game as long as its a seperate mode.It could work as singleplayer mode or coop mode but the main board play should be like classics
- Bowser should be a villain of the game rather than playable character. As much as I like having more playable characters I prefer bowser being the one who screws you over in the game instead of kamek. So he would have his spaces where he screws you over and have bowser minigames
- Boss battle minigames. They could be either part of bowser minigames or they could be after the last turn
- Also duel minigames, battle minigames and bowser minigames definitely need return.
- Cutscene by the end of the board where winner defeats bowser (like in mario party 2)
- Stars cost 20 coins (like in classics) unless the board has specific gimmick that changes their prices.
Do not forget about returning rotation mini-games.
Mario party 8 style mini game selection was the best with the different mini game tent

I’m disappointed we didn’t get any updates or DLC for Super Mario Party.
New boards and minigames would’ve been great.
Well technically there’s no DLC, not technically even anything new. But Mario Party Superstars looks like what the top 100 should have been
Honestly adding new boards or minigames wouldn't make the game any better. Unless they change the rules of the boardgame. But they finally got their shit together in Superstars
How about superstars it's a different game but it gives you old in classic boards and mini games
While I don’t like the newest version of Mario party my children love it. We still play it almost every Friday night...even if I want to shoot myself in my foot when they ask to play with me.
Is it that bad?
@@darciheadswillrollit’s painfully boring

Fortunately you have a brand new one now
Super mario party wasn't that bad however pls make the boards less of going in circles

Plot twist: They aren't new in Super MP. They existed in Star Rush, people just forget Star Rush exists.
If anyone is looking for a new classic Mario Party experience, my buddy and I created a Minecraft map called Super Voxel Party. It’s a fully functioning Mario Party map with 4 classic style boards and 35 minigames (with a 5th board and 5 more games coming soon). Let’s Mario party!!!!

4. Amiibo Party (it's a little different from traditional party, so I thought I would include it)
5. Story mode
i've been waiting FOREVER for this video. I understand that you needed time to work on other projects, though.
Glad it’s finally out!
Amazing video dude, looking forward to the future of the channel!

I think cario party should be a side mode in an actual Mario party game
Yeah it should be just singleplayer mode or coop mode but not the main mode.

Cario party in Mario party garbage party is bowser party and Mariibo party or Mario party is amiibo party
But other from that I kinda love it
I liked 7 and 8 a lot! The one where you upgrade the hotels around the board to get more stars was easily my favorite one!
What i Really dislike in Super Mario party is that almost in every mini game every player gets coins.. so the losers get coins to

Super Mario Party should've just been called Mario Party 11.There's nothing super about that game, it's just a return to form.
Just because a game is a disappointment doesn't mean that it's bad and that you should let that disappointment take over how you see it
I'm a little late to this, since superstars came out.

Hit the nail on the head there, super Mario party was so disappointing I was heartbroken how bad it was compared to previous titles. :(
I also loved how everything could have happened in the old games, you turn into a ball, stuck into a Bowser custume, getting squished, literally fall into the sun, get sucked by a black hole, captured by a hungry dog, getting pushed from high places. Often you end up doing bad things to your friends for your own sake and there was no limit to that could happen.
The modern Mario Parties rather feel like a sandbox for children under age 3. Sorry

POV: you’re here after Superstars was announced
If Nintendo really wants to earn some brownie points they could totally re-release Mario Party 1 through 10 in a bundle for the Switch, or at the very least release them in separate bundles, like 1-4 and 5-8.
Mario Party 7 was my favorite one.
Who’s excited for Mario Party Superstars?
Super Mario Party is the one game that actually needed DLC.
update*
I feel like big twists can still happen in Mario Party 9 and 10. Towards the end of a game bowser summons bowser spaces. There is a chance bowser can take half of everyone’s mini stars and you have to fight for them. You can get like over 60 by winning just one mini game. It is a big twist especially since it’s towards the end of the game. I played Mario party 8,9,10 and some 3ds ones. I enjoyed all of them
Its probably rising again with superstars
Mario party then: Hahaha this is soo unpredictable because it has soo many boards and variety of minigames
Mario party now (I'm talking about Star Rush because it's my favourite out of these modern ones): NOOOOOO I HATE YOU YELLOW TOAD YOU STOLE MY 3 ALLIES AND WON BOSSES BY THEM!!! NOOOOOooooOoOO
Those ideas at the end would actually be so legit lmao
I don’t know about y’all but I think Mario party 9 was fckn awesome
I agree
I agree. Best game alongside 6 and Star Rush IMO
I agree. Its actually my favourite in the series.
Mario Party all-stars 1-5 would be great
You bring up an interesting point with the whole "do you have fun with the game, or with people" argument.
14:41 I don't think there's a marioparty game with bad minigames.
Marioparty 1: hold my beer.
Mario Party DS (by Hudson) is the best Mario Party game ever made, by a mile. I am astonished you haven't played it.
Mario party 8 is the GOAT of all the franchise. I got nine after it came out and that one was garbage
Easily the best.
Mario party 8 and Sonic and the Secret Rings were my first 2 games on the Wii. I had a blast with both, miss those old days.
Perfect Mario Party:
Two modes: 1-8 type of mode, a Cario mode, and a improved Bowser mode
Thanks!
I feel y’a, whenever me and my family play MK8 deluxe, I always win but a wide margin.
Hey man. So happy I've discovered your channel. Love your content and it's great to listen to someone talking so passionately about Nintendo games! Good luck getting to 100K subs. Keep up the awesome work!
Wow thanks so much for the kind comment! I’m so glad you enjoy the vids! Hopefully we can hit 100k soon :D
