Did the new starter look any different than the old one
is the crankshaft postiion sensor still behind the starter for this model truck?

That 2015 Escalade with the old emblem. Have you replaced the grille to the updated emblem?
Was not my car. So no I did not.
My 15 had the same emblem
Early 2015s had the old emblem and also the 6 speed trans.
What symptom indicated this needed a new starter? Was it giving a click and no crank?
Yes and battery tested good. After tapping on the starter it started to get it in the bay
@@TheGAutomotiveAndMore good to know. I'm getting a click when attempting to start w/ no crank. To be sure it was the starter that was clicking, I removed the positive cable from the starter and went to start the Escalade. There were no clicks. As soon as I connected the + terminal back, the clicking came back. Autozone tested the starter and it worked fine--- passed all tests. I'm convinced the starter solenoid is bad but it passed the test (with no engine load) at autozone.

@@Boy.Wonder i’m having the exact same thing and did check the starter at autozone and pass. What did it end up being for your vehicle?
