Not to br a negative Nancy but I had a very similar thing happen on my vehicle. However , you 100% must replace that cam also. The reason is because the lifter bearing is really rough and messed up right? Well now your cam looks the same way and that will cause vibration. Expect that lifter to fail much faster now.

Exactly what I said. Had a similar issue on my escalade except mine just had a failed lifter that I caught immediately. Cam was still messed up and replaced.

@manuelaguilar8418 Well, with parts and some extra tools, it cost me like 3k to replace the cam, lifters, seals, gasket seals, new head bolts, Injectors, timing chain/sprocket, lifter sleaves(plastic part that holds lifters), and lastly oil/lub. I did the rebuild myself so it was way cheaper.

I just bought my 2018 Cadillac Escalade and before I took it off the lot it started knocking and right away they said it's the lifters hopefully they can fix it all I do have warranty on it but I think I just made a bad investment I gave up my 2010 Honda Odyssey van for this Cadillac and I can't even drive it anywhere without being embarrassed

Extra attention and care , make sure you replace the engine oil at least every 5k miles

Same thing happened to me mine has 70k miles. This is my 3rd Escalade. My last Escalade was a 08 I had a terrible issue with the lifters and then the tranny started slipping. I traded it in for a 16 Denali with the 8speed transmission and it failed in less than a year. Now I have my 18 Escalade and here we go with the lifter noise. Gm has burned me so much but I just can’t resist the Escalade smh god help me. My 03 was the most solid vehicle and had better seats.

I was told that if you don’t change the valve manifolds I think it was that it will reoccur again .Gm dealership mechanic recommendation

100% true. I took mine to the shop they replaced the lifters but not the manifolds, 2 weeks later I am back at the dealership and they had to re do everything again. Thank God the warranty covered everything
My suburban 6.2 is in Chevy shop a month now. I heard a tick when first start in morning. Then it goes away. They heard it and after getting GM to come and ck there replacing the whole engine. Also your cam lobe is prob damaged. I would either change the cam lobe too or sell the truck after repair.

That’s never going to last that camshaft is shot from the lifter roller spinning it will be back in a week tops
Lol I fixed the car and it’s still running this days no issues no problems
@@mechanicmode the roller on the lifter 100% ruined the camshaft. It’s literally impossible that it’s going to last I do these engines all the time.

You should check one more time everything if it’s removed and check the video see if you did right !

That engine needs to be pulled and completely rebuilt or u going to be doing that job again real soon. And u definitely need a new cam

Shouldn't you replace all the lifters not just one
Yes you can and need to but if the customer asks for only one than you can’t buy extra parts from your pocket
GM manufactures beautiful and efficient vehicles but does not know how to design reliable engines 🤷🏻♂️
