The planty rescue continues! We're definitely starting to see some progress but some plants are for sure still struggling. This winter rescue project has deff kept me busy! Lemme know how your rescues are doing. Part I - Big Box Clearance Plant Shopping - ua-cam.com/video/T8BztQjlbAg/v-deo.html Part II - I Month Update - ua-cam.com/video/My8j6aK9M9M/v-deo.html
No snow storms here where I live in oregon. We’ve been mild weather wise. We had two weeks of clear cold weather. Now it’s mid 40’s-mid 50’s. But no sunny skies. It’s raining on and off. I just take my dog out between rainstorms.
You know what's weird, I too rinse my perlight and lecca and I still get that powder at the bottom of my container it's so weird. And I even do double rinses.
My rescue scindapsis, I think silvery Ann. It was a wet stick, unnamed. So I try to look at pictures to determine which kind it is. I change my mi s all the time between the silvery Anne and exotica. It’s got too long strings of small leaves. I’d like to get it in a hanging basket then I can let the vines growing up the basket.
Wow! You were brutal with the prayer plant, I don't think I would have cut it up that bad! I will have to see how it turns out! When I had problems with mine I ususally repot after cutting off the bad and rotted roots and after gaining some experience I have found they come back! They are finiky they want the water and moisture however if you keep them too wet they start that cycle of decline and death! I have killed a few, although this last one has lasted a year after a repot....:) I want to try the perlite for recovery on a new one if it gets finiky!😂
😂😂 I knooooow I always get scissor happy. It’s still surviving in perlite for now. Not so sure how it will do once I pot it up permanently but it’s putting out new leaves sooo that’s good🤷🏽♀️
Hi Lauren, love watching your videos. I have a question, have you seen any of your plants growing aerial roots about when you change from soil to leca?
Thanks so much Angela! I always appreciate hearing that..if ever you have any video requests please feel free to let me know..and for your question are you asking if my plants grow aerial roots due to the transfer? Or just in general if they grow aerial roots after transfer? My plants do grow aerial roots after being transferred to semi-hydro but I cannot say for certain that it is because of the transfer. I’d say it’s more due to whether I’ve placed it on a pole or the level of ambient humidity in the room. Lemme know if that answers your question.

My rescue golden pothos is doing well I plan on putting the cutting back in the pot to fill it out.

Oh nice! I do hear it rains a lot in Oregon. But you must have some beautiful scenery
@@PlantsNTings it’s quite beautiful. Visit oregon on one of your travels. You’ll see. But wait till full summer. A lot of times spring is still rainy.
I rinse my perlite before use. Gets rid of the dust and it never cements in the container around the roots.
Ohh yes that makes sense. Thanks!
@@PlantsNTings you are welcome.
@@PlantsNTings by the way I use a basic kitchen strainer to rinse it.😁
@@ShebaCasper yup! I use the same for my chunky perlite and pon
