I stay in the clearance section. My dad was not impressed when I would buy the sad looking ones, but a week or so later, he's like WOW. He's now a believer in the clearance plants 👍🏾👍🏾😁😁. My entire new yard is all clearance plants 😂😂🪴🌻
They really turned out really pretty. That’s why I love clearance plants. Besides saving money, I love the feeling that I saved a living plant and brought it back to life.
That comeback was amazing! I picked up quite a few clearance plants last night for $1 and what 80% of them needed was just a good soak and the rest need to be trimmed and repotted with better soil.
As soon as I get to LOWES, I go to their clearance section. I got 6 Hydrangeas for $3 each last year at the beginning of the lockdowns and they look amazing at this very moment. I got blue, purple, white and hot pink ones. They look amazing along my fence between my succulents and lilies.
🙏🏽 most plants 🪴 really just need a bit of love. But that can go for anything really. These particular plant’s really turned around and responded very well to the attention you gave them. Good on you / good for you. Well done indeed🙏🏽
I am right there with you prowling plant clearance sections. If you are willing to get plants that aren’t picture perfect you can save a lot of money. It is amazing what some water and pruning off dead leaves will do for clearance plants.
your title in its self made me subscribe😊I wish I was there when you caught those deals. I just left walmart brought a salvia and a hanging mandevilla both for $2 each . its so relaxing and therapeutic when I 🪴 garden.
Lowe's have plants that are so badly treated? Omg, that is plant abuse those first two plants looked like they haven't tasted water for a very long time. Thanks to you for rescuing them
Capitalism retail. It is such a racket. I mean the price that they charge for these plants is obscene and then the people they hire don't know how to properly care for them. I am sure they are only buying them for low wholesale cost ..I should do some research. I mean I can understand that planting from seed and resources to get plants of a decent size is requiring resources.. but how much are lowes paying for them and then I guess writing it all off as a LOSS .. Chaching..
I’ve had plants I was caring for in the winter that I forgot to water and was sure they were dead, just keep it moist. Even if the foliage didn’t sprout back, it pushed out new growth eventually
Wow!! They just needed sunlight and plenty of water. Don't forget to feed ypur houseplants also. My first time to your channel and those beauties are doing great.
I have a 'Coffee Cups' elephant ears plant that looked as sad as your plants did initially. The pot is inside a cache pot so I watered it that the inside pot floated. The next day or two I checked on it and new shoots had emerged! It was only "mostly dead." (Princess Bride reference.) ☺️
I love buying clearance plants to bring them back to life those are beautiful plants! You think one maybe more mature then the little one it is interesting why they look a different but Im sure they're happy to have life again.
I left my plants sitting in water when i was going to be out of town for 2 wks and they did good! Im going to begin looking for plants in need of resurrection and not spend lots money on plants!
This is the time to get those great deals! They will be starting to put out fall decor soon so they'll really be marking summer plants and garden items down.
When I first moved to this area two years ago the Lowes had nothing good lol. They didn't even have a houseplant section. Then the demand last year made them over stock this year. I hope your Lowes steps it up!
I’m always seeing clearance hydrangea . They always look so bad, but I’ve always wanted to try and rehab one. Have you ever tried a clearance hydrangea

No one believes until they see for themselves lol. I love that! My garden is mostly clearance plants and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thank you!! I feel the same way. It gives you such a good feeling

Isn't it crazy that all they need is water?! It's our win tho.
I have a good friend who will turn 96 soon. She buys sad plants on clearance . Her flower gardens are beautiful .
Oh that's so wonderful!!! I bet her garden is gorgeous!!
Prowling the Lowe's clearance section at 9am is my therapy.
I love that!!!! Plus you get to all the good stuff first!

What an amazing transformation, so happy there are people like you to give these unfortunate plants a better life!
Thank you!
Wicking it up from the bottom is a brilliant idea for most plants really. Especially highly stressed plants. Thanks for the tips!💯
Thank you!!! I thought it would be helpful to maintain soil moisture initially for rehydration
You've given me the confidence to shop clearance! What a great transformation!
You definitely should try it!!!
They looked so sad initially I think they should have paid you to take them. Amazing resurrection.
I would have loved if they paid me to do that haha!

These comments are getting me excited. I have 10 plants but I've never been plant shopping before. I'm hoping to save some sad, cheap plants (:

I can’t believe how well your plants came back after watering!

It's such a good feeling when you revive a plant. I bet its probably more mature. We'll have to keep an eye on them and see how they change
Great work. 👌🏾😎👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️👍🏾👍🏾A great tutorial on how to bring back neglected plants.
Thanks so much!!!!
Fantastic! You scored!!!!! Brava!
Thank you!!!
I am amazed at how they rejuvenated! I will shop clearance and then do operation hydration!
Its amazing what a good watering will do. To bad the big box stores don't care enough.

I would cut that flower spike right away so energy concentrates on roots and leaves. You did a great job!!! 🌸🌸🌸
Thank you!!
I'm glad I saw your video.ive never butt chugged my plants before.i will now.thank you.
🤣🤣🤣
Ligularia Hates the sun. I have them in my garden in mostly shade but when they get a little bit of sun, they wilt. I call them my cry baby plants.
Haha. Almost exactly what I posted, before reading your comment.
Lovely. I like the value rakes also. Lots of good finds. 💚
Thank you!!!
Those are some nice finds, way to go Cutie!💚🙃
Thank you!!!
It’s wonderful to save a beautiful plant. Nice job!
Thank you!! It's so nice to see them flourish 💚
Good safe !!
Watering from the bottom is natures way also ! ❤
So true!
Ligularia will wilt at thr first thought of sun on it. I call them my big babies. Wawawa!
Good job with the rehydration! Cut that bloom stalk off so the plant doesn't have to support that while it's in rehab.
Wow they look so much better 😍 Thanks for sharing 💜
I’m hitting that 50% off rack hard lately and everything is coming up roses and more!!
This is the time to get those great deals! They will be starting to put out fall decor soon so they'll really be marking summer plants and garden items down.
@@TheThriftedPlanter yes indeed!! I’m on it!!
Fantastic!
Wow!!! The one on the left has surely been revived!
I was afraid that one wouldn't do much and he proved me wrong
omg 😃 I learned so much from your video 👍🏻 new subbie here gonna go a watch all your videos 😁
Awwww Thank you so much! It means a lot!!!
I'd have bought them too! My Lowe's never has anything exciting or different.
When I first moved to this area two years ago the Lowes had nothing good lol. They didn't even have a houseplant section. Then the demand last year made them over stock this year. I hope your Lowes steps it up!
Those plants are saying… thank you mommie thank you mommie. 😅
Awww
Amazing 👏
Thank you!
Ok! U make me want to get into plant rehab 😂
It's so satisfying! You should do it!
this looks like expert level gardening
New garden level unlocked! Haha!
And always take off any flowers to give any plant the best chance. They need to put the growth into the roots not flowers & seed.
Those babies were thirsty.
Do you look for annual or perennial? Or both? A bit intimidated but very willing to try!
Perennials are my go to .
@@geraldpond168 wow! How?? Kept indoors?
I’m always seeing clearance hydrangea . They always look so bad, but I’ve always wanted to try and rehab one. Have you ever tried a clearance hydrangea
Yes! I bought tons of clearance Hydrangea last year and they are doing really well this year! You should try it!
"Hydra" is in the name. They loves them some water.
@@Edu_Kate Yesssss!
New subbie here🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽
Thanks for subbing!
Did you leave the water in the tray for the two days ?
No, the plant's actually soaked up all the water. If they had any left I would have poured it out
Next time just put the whole thing in a 5 gal bucket of water or a wheelbarrel over night especially if they are water lovers like them
Great tips! Thanks
What day do they put on the clearance plants?
Mine moves plants to clearance everyday
