Hello from Edinburgh .. i have the RX100 M1 and i love it ,was that mount Eden you were up as i went to Auckland 12 years ago for my holiday's and Loved it .. stayed in the Aspen house at 62 Emily Place in Auckland , Great Value and Great People.

Ummmmm, I may be wrong but did the pilot forgot to lower flaps while taking off?
+Alvin Lim No, he did extend 10 degrees of flap. The flaps also also create more wing surface area which is as equally important. It does though appear that way.....
I am not a pilot, but for a 2:30 hour flight the tanks probably were less than half full and the flaps were not needed so urgently?

Looks like you flew EK C class? Very nice, the food looks great. By the way, what's with the three EK 388s at AKL all at once?! Is EK setting up a mini-hub or something? haha.
On another note, Auckland seems like a great city to visit.
Emirates operates flights to AKL via Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, all with the A380.

***** that may be true but it's because that the Emirates has a code share with air new Zealand and quantas and picks up passengers from Brisbane or Melbourne along the way from Auckland to Dubai so it's literally a transit.
+Aviation Leader64 EK doesn't codeshare with NZ, only QF (Qantas). The A380 flights are DXB-BNE/SYD/MEL-AKL but people can just fly Australia-AKL if they wish.

I have a big question. since emirates have all these a380s how come they would not use them on the new flights to atlanta next year. instead using the 777 300s.
