Richard was fulfilling a life long dream to fly one of those planes as the thing on his bucket list. He never planned to try and land the plane...he even said so on one of the original TV station coverages that communicated with him while he was still in the air. 🙏 RIP RICHARD 🙏
I hate CEO's that have no clue about crap. If you don't pay your employees what they are worth then expect stuff like this to happen. $13 an hour for baggage handler is a joke given what the job is!
I guess this proves that having long hours of flying before becoming a pilot is total BS. Truth is, anybody can fly a plane with all the simulators that are in the market. You don’t need a BA in aerodynamics etc; all you need is some simulator time and boom you are a pilot... pilots must be offended by this, sorry but is truth. Sadly, He just wanted to end his life. But he would it be able to land safely.

There is very little information here. The press is being spoon-fed bits and pieces of information. Where are the "Investigative Journalists" who set foot to pavement? What about actual attendance and interviews with staff at the scenes of where the plane was removed, (someone at 25:40 is on the right track) statements from every eye witness who recorded the flight before the crash. Where are the photos of the crash sight which actually show visible debris from an actual crash? And with all the video footage available, where is any footage of an actual crash? This man was said to be married. Where is the interview with his wife? These are the things real journalism should uncover for the public, instead of wasting time in a room, asking questions to suit and tie executives, as if they will be able to answer the most vital questions. The further we let this slip away, the more time there is for law enforcement to weave an "official story" which may not be a truthful account of what really happened.
“Our TOP PRIORITY” is to offer you heaps of “Cover Our Ass” boilerplate, carefully crafted by lawyers and PR officials and presented by company executives putting on their best “We Really Care” faces, in a grand effort to make you believe utter lies and ridiculous explanations about how this happened and why nobody is actually liable or will be held accountable. This is just ANOTHER story where the “officials” are lying their asses off! There is NO WAY a non-pilot with no flight experience beyond “video games” could fly this plane like this. IMPOSSIBLE. No matter what you believe, NO WAY. They also said F-15 pilots were “authorized to fire FLARES at the Horizon Aircraft, but NOT missiles”! LMAO! F-15s are not equipped with flares for offensive use - these are for defensive use only, designed to confuse heat-seeking missiles, NOT to be used as any kind of a weapon. Second, you can be 100% certain that intercept fighter aircraft are ABSOLUTELY authorized to “shoot down” an aircraft under these conditions if it presents any threat to the public! They think we are stupid and make senseless statements that they think will placate the public. Sadly, it works on most people. This is a MASSIVE airline security breach and simply demonstrates the ludicrous fact that airport security is nothing more than “security theater”. They are LYING about the entire incident because it proves that the clowns in charge of our safety are nothing more than THE CLOWNS IN CHARGE. My guess is NOBODY was on board and “Rich” was sitting in the next room pretending to be in the plane as the aircraft was being remotely controlled (see Boeing uninterruptible auto-pilot) - all as a FALSE FLAG to allow future increased violations of our civil rights at airports. I smell massive amounts of BOVINE EXCREMENT.

I reported the same issue last summer to Alaska. Was blown off. This could have been avoided but the problem lies squarely on these people talking
