@@RetroGameCorps I hope you see my message. How did you get the rg350m screen? I have the rg350p with the lower resolution screen and I would like to upgrade my handheld with the RG350m screen
I just followed the setup instructions in your tutorial, for my RG-280v after a few months of no use, which had inexplicably stopped working. I saw that as the perfect opportunity to replace the original firmware with the Adam image. The latest version has gone from 1.x to 2.1 -- but your tutorial still works flawlessly, including scraping the images with Skraper. I had no hiccups at all following your instructions. This guy is very helpful, but for 80's babies that came across emulation way back when, adding opk's to the stock anbernic GUI is an exciting adventure. It reminds me of when we had a bunch of emus on our desktop to choose from and had to search for those bios files that never quite matched lol It's not for everyone though, which I understand.
This guide covered a step that the written guide didn't make clear for me (I do not process information normally) so for that I thank you, I am now just a box art programming away from being complete

I've had RG350M for almost a year, and wanted to make a setup with OD beta + RetroArch + SimpleMenu ever since OD beta and RetroArch were out for RG350-s, just didn't have much time to mess with it, tried with early versions but some things didn't work (probably needed more tweaking/configuring), so I always ended up actually playing on stock cards. Lucky for me, these kind souls just did all of the work, and now I can finally make my own setup the way I wanted!
Just put this image on my 350 and oh wow! This so much better than the upgraded stock firmware. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I forgot to back up my saves but hey clean slate lol
I ordered a 280m a few days ago and was having reservations on further research about its os and capabilities. That was until I saw this video! Thanks for taking your time to bring this to light
Oh man i been missing out on these retro consoles! All this time i had to plugin my older systems from the 80s/90s not knowing these existed with these retro consoles! You have me subbed!!
This was a very informative and helpful video. Followed your steps and breathed new life into my OG RG350. Thank you from South Korea and subbed for all future content brother.
I generally start from the favourites menu so playing a game is only a couple of clicks away. Thanks for the pointer by the way -- being able to use autostart to boot directly into a single game is huge. It means your device becomes dedicated to that game until you choose otherwise. No mucking around -- just pick up the handheld and play your favourite game right away.
I might do that same. I've been playing the older Nintendo handhelds like the 3DS and Gameboys, and what I miss most going back to the RG350 is the quickness of the boot. Older Gameboys had my favourite carts already in them and they boot up fast. The 3DS has a great sleep function. So I find the original RG350 firmware very slow and clunky in comparison

Wow, now we 350 owners have nothing to envy from 351 family (while they still envy our 4:3 screen, hohoho). Tested and worked perfectly (in the 350M all the stuff looks gorgeous in 480p). Awesome image, and great video!

Great video as always Russ, I couldn't agree with your closing sentiments more. Had this been out when I was first getting my feet wet I would have never started tinkering and learning and meeting you for that matter! But now that this is out I'm really excited, it certainly looks sleek and amazing. Can't wait to give it a try. Seems like if this was the polished product that had been released from the factory we'd have a lot more people playing retro games right now. Thanks for great video as always!

This is a great image, and thanks for this guide. This did add new life to my 350m. One big weakness is Arcade. For example Battle zone, Moon Patrol, and Smash TV all present problems to play. Still, the console support is super great. I just wish the author could look at those Arcade issues.
Thanks for this info. Cause of this video i bought an RG280V and I just live it. Thanks to this video I got up n running after just a few minutes. Big thanks for sharing your knowledge! =)
"And then you resume your game, and immediately die" Lol this is too true! On a serious note, your videos are fantastic and a great help to the retro gaming community!
This video was extremely helpful. I had no issues getting everything set up, including box art and all. That said, I have a ton of issues with Adam Image v2.1. Near constant crashes with PlayStation and Sega CD games, crashes that don't occur when using the stock firmware with my RG280M. That's a shame because the UI is a lot better with Adam image/Simpletheme, but the crashing sucks.
Just a suggestion guys, make sure to use the latest release for adam. atm it's 1.3. The file extension is a bit different, but it still works. It solved a start + select freezing issue I was running into.
I bought one of these RG280v's brand new and INSTANTLY soured on it based on the crap UI... Until I saw someone on twitter with a short video of the "Adam Image". That brought me here and I am looking forward to reviving this toy after a couple years in a drawer.
I might just get an rg280v because of this. Also I cant stress enough the importance of sleep mode, esp in this day and age, and esp for adults, and esp if you have a busy life and kids etc. Then again all those reasons are also why a simple "plug n play" image like this would help a lot. Thanks for the video!
Great video, as usual! But I would never skip the PS1 intro, it’s just too charming.
Good point, I do love the boot logo, but man it's slow :)

Hi, I will likely not do a video on the 3DS/2DS line, I fear that a certain company wouldn't take kindly to that.
@@RetroGameCorps Fair enough my man. I understand your point. They’re notorious for taking stuff down from UA-camrs sadly.
Thank you so much for this upload. I have an RG280V and I love OS! I'm so glad I subscribed to this channel! I would not have known these handhelds existed nevermind how good they are. Cheers man.
This guy is very helpful, but for 80's babies that came across emulation way back when, adding opk's to the stock anbernic GUI is an exciting adventure. It reminds me of when we had a bunch of emus on our desktop to choose from and had to search for those bios files that never quite matched lol It's not for everyone though, which I understand.
my RG350M was collecting dust but thanks to this tutorial, I am using it more after using this adam image. Thank you Retro Game Corps
I have no need for these devices as I have the 351v but this makes me want a 280v for pocket carry.
My RG351V is feeling very neglected right now, ever since I put this image on my 280V :)
This guide covered a step that the written guide didn't make clear for me (I do not process information normally) so for that I thank you, I am now just a box art programming away from being complete
when i turn off the device after launching adam for the first time it unmounts the files and there is nothing on the bigger sd card. i formatted it to fat32 and made sure there was no name multiple times. wtf am i doing wrong. tried multiple sd cards as well.
It's taken me a while, but I have finally tried Adam and it's such an easier experience. I'm sticking to it now, definitely. Thanks for the tutorial, really helpful
Serious kudos for how clear, concise and thorough this video was. Excellent job :)
I was recently thinking: "I wish there was something like batocera or emuelec for the older 350 devices" Then you release this video, the corps never disappoint :D
Waiting for my RG350 to arrive. I'll be ready to crack open the case and insert Adam image SD card prepared using your easy to understand tutorials. Thanks ever so much :)
i love how its advertised as 20 minutes, meanwhile i am over here drinking doing my rg280v silver edition , like 3 hours deep still fil transferring roms, i am only a couple months into the retro gaming scene and i decided to pick up a "daily driver" for my daily train commute and leaving the 353v at home in good condition, thanks for all your videos mate.
Great video Russ, it's been great fun fiddling with the new image, thanks again 👍
Glad you are enjoying it!
That sleep mode makes a world of difference for me! Thanks
20 seconds in and this video I just what I need. You have a sixth sense with the content you bring out. 🐐🐐
Thanks to this video, my RG350M could see sunshine again!
This was a very informative and helpful video. Followed your steps and breathed new life into my OG RG350. Thank you from South Korea and subbed for all future content brother.
I'm eager to put this on my 280v tonight. Thanks for sharing! I had no idea this existed.
Awesome, have fun!
Oh ya!!! My 280m is about to get even more awesome... Thanks Russ, I really appreciate all your hard work making these videos for us.
Thank you very much for this video! I ordered an RG 350 like a year ago and was very disappointed by the poor UI and the clunkiness of the whole UX. So I completely forgot about it and now thanks to this process it breathed a new life to this little device. I am completely in love with it!
Hi, I just wanted to leave a message of thanks for how helpful this video and your written guide were to me, I appreciate it must have been a lot of work and it made a daunting task much easier for a newbie like myself.
i bought a rg280 and it's coming tomorrow. i was a bit iffy on it until i saw this video. thanks.
Thank you for this tutorial it’s fantastic, I followed it all the way and worked great for my RG350M. Awesome!
Can't wait to get this going on my RG350M. I'd love to see the image working on the GKD Mini/350 devices too.
Wow, now we 350 owners have nothing to envy from 351 family (while they still envy our 4:3 screen, hohoho). Tested and worked perfectly (in the 350M all the stuff looks gorgeous in 480p). Awesome image, and great video!
This is amazing I just got the RG350M for cheap and I really didn’t like the stock firmware but this makes it look so nice great video keep up the good job 🤘😎
Thank you professor. As usual, top drawer.
You are very welcome!
Mine gets delivered tomorrow and can't wait to use your video to make it look better. Thank you
Great video as always Russ, I couldn't agree with your closing sentiments more.
Same here Seth, it's a bittersweet moment to think that all the tinkering and discovery I made last year is no longer relevant today. But I'm thankful for the experience and the opportunity to meet folks like you along the way :)
@@RetroGameCorps Thanks Russ that means a lot. You're such a softy and I'm very here for it hahaha 😁
Oh boi, my 280v will be happy 😊
Also thanks so much for your videos Russ. They are always the spiciest of meatballs
😗👌
My pleasure!!
Thanks! Finally got this Adam firmware installed on my RG300X and it works like a charm!
Dude! I love the way you do your review, precise and straight to the point, I have the 280m, you've gained a subscriber..keep it up
Thanks so much Russ! I have been waiting for this FOREVER!
i know i'm showing up late to the party but let me tell you this video was a gift from above - i was tinkering around with my rg280v today when i got it and thought i bricked it right off the bat LOL so i'm really glad that you make these detailed and helpful videos for people like me that aspire to know more about tech but aren't quite there yet. thank you so much
Happy to be of help!
Now I need one of these for my original PocketGo v1! (I own several of this consoles but I love that tiny thing)
This is a great image, and thanks for this guide. This did add new life to my 350m. One big weakness is Arcade. For example Battle zone, Moon Patrol, and Smash TV all present problems to play. Still, the console support is super great. I just wish the author could look at those Arcade issues.
Thanks for this tutorial, I love my RG280v with this image, and also I didn't knew about Skraper, it's awesome!
One Of my favorite UA-camrs !
You've been a champion 🏆 for retro gamers. This is so helpful!
Again, congratulations for all your effort and hard work putting all these information together. I'll for sure try this image on my devices. :)
Awesome, enjoy Igor!
My original RG350 had been gathering dust for quite a while, guess it's time to dig it out for a big OS change!
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this video. I actually ordered a RG280V after seeing this!
I just ordered a 280 but I have a playgo. I'm gonna load this on both and give it a go! Great video!!!
ADAM v2.0 just released. More stable than ever.
Thank you thank you and thank you, I did it for my RG350 and worked flawlessly ^^ Amazing guide!
Thanks for this info. Cause of this video i bought an RG280V and I just live it. Thanks to this video I got up n running after just a few minutes. Big thanks for sharing your knowledge! =)
thanks for helping me with these videos in customizing my rg350, i also wraped mine in carbon fibre looks good too anyway keep up with vids
Can't wait for comeback from the hospital to flash this!
Get well soon!
@@RetroGameCorps Thanks! I'm already back at home. I'm currently scrapping the systems.
@@svcross-do welcome back!
"And then you resume your game, and immediately die"
Lol this is too true!
Thank you sir I couldn’t figure out how to exit out of a game I kept restarted it but now I do thanks to you!
Just a suggestion guys, make sure to use the latest release for adam. atm it's 1.3. The file extension is a bit different, but it still works. It solved a start + select freezing issue I was running into.
i love you man
ditto
I bought one of these RG280v's brand new and INSTANTLY soured on it based on the crap UI... Until I saw someone on twitter with a short video of the "Adam Image". That brought me here and I am looking forward to reviving this toy after a couple years in a drawer.
Never thought getting this image would fix my sd card problems.
Imagine having a C to C cable capable of multiplayer on the games you play, That would be sick to play arcade games or pokemon 1v1 like the old days.
Thankyou so much
Loving my 280V
Thanks for recommending this. Looks like I have a new project!
Thank YOU!
Ha, I just showcased the hard work...making videos and guides are a piece of cake by comparison :)
The Adam-OS is absolutely awesome. Easy to install, easy to use. 100% recommendation.
Hi , do you speak German?
