I have got to stop watching these wonderful tutorials Jenny puts out because I want to make every single quilt and this one is no exception. Like Jenny it would be so much fun putting it together and see it come to life. The fabric she selected for this quilt is beyond words. Just gorgeous on the computer so I know it must be amazing in real life. I will just have to order when I get my present project finished. Thank you Jenny and everyone else who helps you at MSQC. I'm so glad I'm getting to know you guys.
I'm going to make this quilt just because it has "Missouri" in it's name. I miss my home state. I'm going to come and stand in your main street some day and soak in the wonder of it all. Love MSQC!!!
I really, really love this quilt! It looks so complicated on first glance but, oh my, how simple it is!! Thanks again for a great tutorial, Jenny!! See you next Friday!!!!
Beautiful colors on the quilt on the left of the screen.......amazing what a difference a color change makes......that is always exciting when I see another great demo from you and by using my choice of colors/designs it looks like "mine" lol thank you again for the demos
We have some beautiful Kansas Troubles fabrics if you like the style of the quilt on the left! :) Find them here: www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse/409
I love watching you with your tutorials! You are an Awesome person. I'm glad I experience your enthusiasm and joy! Much success you and your wonderful family!
OMGosh! Another beautiful quilt! It looks like its so much harder to make than it really is. You show us such great ways to accomplish different styles. This one is on my list! I need to hit the lottery so I can spend all my time quilting! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!!!🐤
Thanks for watching, Kimberly! I hope you find some more time for quilting!! :) We're always happiest when we find time to do the things we love, aren't we? :) Have a great week!
Congratulations On Your eight Birthday... Jenny Its obvious what a team you and your hubby have been from the beginning. Before MSQC. It is no wonder what a success you are! Having the priveledge of seeing you In Jacksonville, NC In August was special and Hope to vist you at Your Quilt Home in a few years Happy Birthday!!! Arla King Newport, NC
So sweet planning dates etc hopefully as a special gift for my sister... We are Members of Carteret County Modern Quilt Guild and am using your patterns and techniques with shear joy and excitment! Have Blessed Day
I got my grandmother's sewing machine, books, thread, needles, etc. when she passed away. She taught me to quilt but I was never much interested in sewing until I retired. I used to look through her quilt books thinking I'd never be able to make one of those beautiful pieces of art. Too complicated for me! Your tutorials (and precuts!)make it soooo easy! I adore your tutorials! Keep up the good work!
How wonderful for you Wanda that your grandma would teach you! I can only think that she is very pleased to know that it was time well spent even if it took a while to catch on!
Wanda, thank you so much for sharing your story! It means so much for us to know that people are gaining the courage to just try quilting! Keep it up and thank you so much for watching!
Love it. Can't wait to use this pattern. I'm thinking the Lagoon fat quarter bundle I bought almost a year and a half ago will be used for this pattern. Thanks for another great tutorial Jenny and MSQC crew. Also want to wish MSQC a Happy 8th Birthday.
Love, love this!! I've used this pattern for a table runner, but seeing this, I really need to make a whole quilt. Thank you for this great tutorial, Jenny!!
Love this quilt! It's the first time ever that I've stopped a video and went directly to the website to purchase the charm packs to make it. Usually when I see a quilt that I would like to make, I think about what I already have in my extensive stash. Not this time - colors are gorgeous. Can't wait to get my order and start on this.
Feliz 8 Aniversario! I love it! Thursday has become my favorite day of the week because i see a new tutorial! Jenny seems to never run out of ideas! Congrats!
I just finished up a 4 block x 4 block (approx 30" X 30" as a trial run). I only used part of a jelly roll, Chantilly by Moda, and cut sand color strips from fabric for the 2 1/2" sqs. It turned out great. There is still jelly roll left to make another small quilt top or 2 (Great baby blanket size). I really enjoyed this tutorial and the blocks went together so fast. I did square up the blocks to 8".
This quilt is so pretty. I just took advantage of your Birthday Bash great deal on "Doe" fabric charm packs and ordered 4 of them on Thursday with some yardage for a border. Now I have a great project to make with my deal ! Thanks Jenny & company at MSQC, and Happy 8th Birthday !! ~Diana from Hamilton (near Toronto)
LOVE This quilt... also a great was to help me use up my many left over jelly rolls, and charms. Thanks Jenny, Your Amazing... and with quilts too.. : )
Thank you for sharing. Though I thought the to the right of you was nice, but that one on the back wall was fantastic. I just love it! Sending you best wishes on your 8th Anniversary!
Love this quilt. I watch the tutorials every Friday. But I watch them through the email link and it doesn't give the option of giving a thumbs up. I decided to go to you-tube, today to give the thumbs up! Good job!
Jenny I love your tutorials. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to organize your sewing-quilt room so everything is there for your project. Or how to organize for your project. That seems to be my trouble when I quilt and then I'm missing or mixed up my pieces. Keep up the awesome job I have learned so much from you
Love the quilt!!!!! And the tutorial as always! Was trying to count my charms and 4.5" squares and came with the count of 3 charm packs total as each block will use one 5" square and two 4.5" square. Did I miss something?
We used 4 of the 5" charm packs to get the size quilt that we did Kim! You can find more details about this quilt by clicking on the link below. www.missouriquiltco.com/land/tutorials/crossroads-quilt/index.html?
This is a great block and beautiful quilt. I am going to use a layer cake "Welcome Fall" from Deb Strain. Of course I got the layer cake at MSQC. Thank you Jenny, looking forward to the next. BTW would love to see a quilt made with Primitive Wool I have some charm packs and layer cake from there. Love the fall colors, but need some ideas.
Simply Beautiful I always enjoy all your tutorials are so helpful... But could you please do a tutorial on how to measure your squares right because I measure my and they always come out on even... I thank you for sharing
Happy Anniversary Jenny and the whole MSQC! I love your tuturials and I would add a hint that the Scrappy four patch method from the snowball four patch quilt would be very handy in here too. If you would sew in a row all the "colored" 5" sqares on 5" wide stripes of the background fabric (here the white one) wouldn't it be great? Just cut in half sew together flipping the white sides and than cut again? Just an idea from far far Germany! God bless you an stay as gorgeous as you are! Gaby
We don't have any longarm videos, but our friend Rob Appell over at Man Sewing has a great series on Free Motion Quilting! ua-cam.com/play/PL3KqX-pov7lKpy6f2BP2oJxELoKmCMzX8.html
Hi, love this quilt as well, but really love the one that's over your right shoulder (in the book) could u please let me know what you used for that one. Thanks again, I'm learning heaps. Congrates again on your 8th anniversary Jo
This is our stacks quilt and can be found on the front cover of our summer, volume 3 issue 3 block Jo-Anne. We used the beautiful pinafores and petticoats fabric for this quilt. You can view this fabric by clicking on the first link below. You can also view our stacks quilt tutorial by clicking on the second link below! :) www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse?q=Pinafores%20and%20Petticoats ua-cam.com/video/nxDCzCKd_3I/v-deo.html
Beautiful! I can totally see this in the oak haven line. I think I may have to go shopping (again!)...Can you tell me what background fabric Jenny used in the original quilt for the book? Thank you for such a great tutorial!
Not sure if we have the original fabric Anna, but you can view the background fabric that we used for this tutorial by clicking on the link below. www.missouriquiltco.com/land/tutorials/crossroads-quilt/index.html?
Love this quilt, my next project. Love you Jenny great video. Happy 8th birthday MSQC. . I would never have started quilting had I not met you in all your videos. Its been great. I am on quilt five now. Getting better little by little. Free hand quilting is still hard for me.
Hi Jeanette! I'm so glad to hear that you tried out quilting! Five quilts is a great accomplishment! Enjoy the process and watch as your skills improve as you make more and more! :) If you're interested in learning more about free motion quilting, check out our friend Rob's videos on Man Sewing: ua-cam.com/play/PL3KqX-pov7lKpy6f2BP2oJxELoKmCMzX8.html
Beautiful! Another one for my bucket list! What is the name of the fabric that the other quilt is made of? It is beautiful also! I think I'm going to have to get a barrel to put my list in instead of a bucket! lol!
Hi Julieta! We do have a couple of basic tutorials on the quilting part, but you'd probably love our friend Rob Appell's series on Free Motion Quilting here: ua-cam.com/play/PL3KqX-pov7lKpy6f2BP2oJxELoKmCMzX8.html
I was thinking if you did white and pattern and alternate using the scrappy 4 patch method it would come together really fast and scrappy. Glad I saw that someone else thought the same thing. ; ) By the way, this is such a beautiful quilt design, I just LOVE it!
Hallo Jenny. I have a question. Is the green boarder quilted in another colour as the innside? Sorry my english is not so good. I come from germany. Best wishes Hanka
It's actually quilted in the same color, that yardage just has a fun pattern on it. Here's a link to all the products. :) www.missouriquiltco.com/land/tutorials/crossroads-quilt/index.html?
I like your quilt better, the colors are great, what was the charm packs you used for it. I have two of the quarterfoil, quilts, working on one now for Granddaughter. I always watch you, I have made several of your quilt.
I really love this quilt. But, I don't know if you said what line you used for the first example, the one that looks more like one of Lynn Hagemeir's quilts. That would be the Civil War looking fabric. I prefer scrappy quilts, but that one is gorgeous as well. I also love my 2 ½" ruler from the cruise and the 5"x15". They are my favorite rulers. Couldn't do without them.
Hi Janice! That quilt was for a book all about scraps, so that's what we used! But you could definitely use some beautiful Kansas Troubles (Lynne Hagmeier) fabrics for the same style: www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse/409 Thanks!
Jenny I love your friday tutorials they are inspirational for me thanks Jenny congrats. on your 8th what charm pack for quilt on the left of you with browns?
Missouri Star Quilt Company , How many jelly rolls would equate to a charm pack, or how many charm packs would equate to a jelly roll? I am going to google this question, but maybe you will have the answer before I do. I have some nice rolls from Tonga Treats. This might work out well! 😊. I also have some matching charm pack material to go with the Tonga Treat rolls.
Great question GradeBmoviefan! This is a little difficult to answer, because jelly roll strips aren't as wide as 5" squares are, and 5" squares aren't as long as jelly roll strips are. To give a better idea of their size difference, you generally need three 5" squares to make a lap size quilt, and you only need one pack of 2.5" strips to make the same size quilt. I recommend viewing our Precut standardization page, which is very helpful with sizing. You can view this page by clicking on the link below, and please let us know if you have anymore questions or concerns about this! :) blog.missouriquiltco.com/?s=What+can+they+make%3F
Unfortunately we don't sell this bracelet Pam. Jenny likes to shop at different boutiques when she travels, and this is how she came across this cute bracelet! :)
Happy 8th birthday MSQC! I just found and finished watching the tours of your shops. Didn't realize so much was happening this past year. Congrats to all. Any plans for a shop that features just novelty prints (or I Spy prints)? I'm currently collecting fabric to make quilts for baby twins (my daughter's) who will be born in December, God willing. A boy and a girl!! Wish I could actually visit you, but the web site makes a lovely option. Any chance you'd like to make a donation to an underemployed grandma of YOUR scaps??? :) Thanks for all your videos. I'm learning from you!!
Jenny i was wondering why you didnt use your four patch shortcut on this tutorial... does it change the size of the block and thus it wont turnout correctly?...
It might change the size of the block if you use the four patch shortcut on this quilt Elizabeth. You might find it easier to do it the way Jenny did in this tutorial.
I have got to stop watching these wonderful tutorials Jenny puts out because I want to make every single quilt and this one is no exception. Like Jenny it would be so much fun putting it together and see it come to life. The fabric she selected for this quilt is beyond words. I love how you match your cardigan to the quilt you are working on Jenny!
Yes!
Spring summer quilt and autumn(fall) winter quilt love it.
This one is definitely on my radar. That is also a beautiful line of fabric. I just love it. Thank you Jenny.
I really, really love this quilt! It looks so complicated on first glance but, oh my, how simple it is!! Thanks again for a great tutorial, Jenny!! See you next Friday!!!!
Isn't that the best, when it looks so difficult, but isn't so bad when you break it down! :) Thanks for watching!!
I love this quilt and it doesn't seem to be as hard to make as I thought it would be. The fabric you used reminds me of a watercolor, really pretty.
It's super easy to make once you get going, Joyce. :)
happy 8th aniversary ya jenny...i always follow uer video...i love u yenny

I love the idea of a quilt jar and pulling out your next project to start from the jar! That would be so fun!
Very pretty quilt. Thanks.

Thanks for trying Bonnie! We love to see everyone's quilt creations! :)
"I'm a succulent lover" you da best, Jenny!
Me too.
Love this!
I like to see a finished block first; then I know what my goal is. also I always make a sample block to keep in front of my eyes.
That's a great way to work!
I do this too, and still manage to mess it up. Sad :)
Very pretty quilt. tfs
This quilt is so pretty. I just took advantage of your Birthday Bash great deal on "Doe" fabric charm packs and ordered 4 of them on Thursday with some yardage for a border. Thanks so much, Athena! It's such a fun fabric line!
Joyeux anniversaire. Magnifique tutoriel comme toujours.
Thank you!!!
Jenny! Can you do the 4 patch with your easy 4 patch method? Then just mixed the colours when you sew the 4 patch block,
Super!
it may seem odd , and don't get me wrong this quilt is gorgeous, but it reminds me of a DNA Helix. LOL, I know weird...thank you Jenny and MSQC.
Thank you so much 😊 I loved both colours they are beautiful and amazing 😉 like you Jenny 👌👌✂️✂️✂️✂️
Love
Muy bonito este trabajo ! Muchas gracias !
My suggestion is to let the viewer know what quilting pattern you use to quilt it with @ longarm quilting.
Maravilhoso, amo cada dia mais seu trabalho. Obrigada
Love this quilt. I watch the tutorials every Friday. But I watch them through the email link and it doesn't give the option of giving a thumbs up. I decided to go to you-tube, today to give the thumbs up! Good job!
Thanks so much, Susan! SO glad you liked it!
Jenny I love your tutorials. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to organize your sewing-quilt room so everything is there for your project. Or how to organize for your project. That seems to be my trouble when I quilt and then I'm missing or mixed up my pieces. Keep up the awesome job I have learned so much from you
That's a great idea! That might require us to get more organized too!! ;) Thanks for the suggestion!
I just bought that 2 1/2 ruler. I love it. I think I see some of my layer cakes finding a home!
You can find more details about this quilt by clicking on the link below.

nagyon köszönöm a sok szép mintát és az ötleteket, sokat tanultam belőle!
We're happy you've learned a lot from our tutorials Karolyne! Keep up the great work! :)
That will be stunning!
Simply Beautiful I always enjoy all your tutorials are so helpful... But could you please do a tutorial on how to measure your squares right because I measure my and they always come out on even... I thank you for sharing
We'll have to see if we can get something filmed to help out with that, Doby. Thanks for the great suggestion.
Gaby
I love how different minds work differently! I wouldn't have thought to do it that way, but it's a great idea!! Thanks for sharing!!
Oh, you're welcome!
Happy 8th Birthday
Thank you, Pamela!!
really nice coloures and possibilities to work with them! also could be made faster if sewn in strips and cut into smaller squares 2 by 2 and 3.
What a wonderful idea! Thank you sew much for sharing!
This is going to be my next quilt I love it
Do you have any fabric in mind for it yet?
I do have some nice pinks black and white with a little bit of grey thrown in 😊
💕💕💕
I love to videos
I meant to say I have made two of your quarterfoil quilt.

We hope you enjoy making this quilt ladulos! :)
I love your tutorials on making the top. But have you done any videos on actual quilting--long arm?
We don't have any longarm videos, but our friend Rob Appell over at Man Sewing has a great series on Free Motion Quilting! ua-cam.com/play/PL3KqX-pov7lKpy6f2BP2oJxELoKmCMzX8.html
Hi, love this quilt as well, but really love the one that's over your right shoulder (in the book) could u please let me know what you used for that one.

I really enjoy your quilts, but can make a lesson on how quilted at home with a regular sewing machine?
Hi Julieta! We do have a couple of basic tutorials on the quilting part, but you'd probably love our friend Rob Appell's series on Free Motion Quilting here: ua-cam.com/play/PL3KqX-pov7lKpy6f2BP2oJxELoKmCMzX8.html
Hi there. I love your tutorials. If I am using yardage for the background how much do I need. Thank you
Another stunning quilt but why didn't you use your "scrappy 4patch" method?
I'm sure you could, you just need to make sure that you have your alternating dark and light! :) Thanks for the reminder!
I would love to learn that one. Can u please send me what I will need to do it ?
Hallo Jenny. Thank you for the answer. There is another question. Is there a tutorial about card trick?.
Thank yo so much. Hanka
We don't have a tutorial for this yet Hanka, but something we need to look into doing! :)
What size of jelly roll would you need for the 2 1/2" squares portion? There is a junior with 20 strips or regular with 40 strips.
You'd need around 25 strips to make all the 2.5" squares for this quilt, Reasha!
I'm wondering how it would work if you just made a bunch of strip sets using 1 color and 1 background strip ? Then just subcut into 2.5" sets.
Great idea!
Jenny I love your friday tutorials they are inspirational for me thanks Jenny congrats. on your 8th what charm pack for quilt on the left of you with browns?
Isn't it darling? A Kansas Troubles Jelly Roll would get a very similar look! :) www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse/409

Jenny, do you sale the measuring bracelet you have on?
Unfortunately we don't sell this bracelet Pam. Jenny likes to shop at different boutiques when she travels, and this is how she came across this cute bracelet! :)
Can you make a Jacobs Ladder, the blocks look the same.
Hi Jenny, instead of 4 charm packs can I use a layer cake? Cut it up to 5" squares??
That's a great idea for a shop Karen, and congratulations on your little ones that are coming in December! What an exciting time! :)
Okay thank you
