Management pitched a great game tonight. The sinker has really helped management find success.
Great turn around from how management pitched so horribly in the ALCS last year. Or when several management pitchers were hurt for the 2021 World Series, and when management forgot how to throw a baseball in the 2020 ALCS

@@imnotcreativeenoughh 🤣 I know. I hate that management has had to have Tommy John surgeries this year and so many missed games due to injury. Management should take better care of themselves in the off season.
@@bobnewfart7630 no, management. since it's managements fault there's been Tommy John surgeries and missed games because of injury and it's managements fault for not hitting in the clutch so management gets praise for working in the sinker and turning managements season around. Cuz I've been informed that management actually plays the game, learn something new every day.
@markkar4663 ack, yes, too many TJs for management last year too! Someone needs to look in to what management is doing during the off-season every year!
in seriousness though, I don't like how they're like...1st or 2nd in fewest pitches seen per AB. That's a drastic change from past philosophy, Hinch or Dusty, and regardless of who's idea it is (or if it's the players doing it on their own) it needs to change and it's not....that along with his lineups being constantly moved around; Yordan batting 2nd early in the year was an odd choice that backfired, Jake Meyers finally remembers how to hit and starts batting cleanup and 5th within about 2 weeks of that success and then falls on his face because of the added pressure, Bregman finally got moved down, hit for like 2 games and was right back up to batting 2nd or 3rd or whatever.
Just feels like there ARE legitimate criticisms of Espada that explain some of the "team's" failures. Maybe they're struggling to hit RISP because they're being far too aggressive? Which is why they're top 5 in team BA but can't bring those runs in. With no one on, pitchers pitch you less careful, easier pitches too hit. If you're swinging freely, you'll get hits. But then with runners on, particularly with RISP, now the pitcher is gonna pitch you much more conservatively, off the plate and on the very edges, and swinging away you run yourself in to outs making poor contact.
Something to think about, especially since I noticed you've made that comment about not seeing many pitches. Is it not Espada's job to step in and say, guys this isn't working? Or if it was his idea in the first place, is he not being stubborn and still sticking with something half way in to the season where you can no longer say "give it time, baseball is a large sample size sport"?
