This is so beautiful. This is all around where I grew up and visited regularly as a child (From the Flathead valley/columbia falls near Glacier). So lovely.
each time i find channels with content such as this one it deals a great damage on my life savings. guess now i want to record on film, not only shoot on it :) great shots btw
love it man. mid september i actually did something similar, road trip from nebraska out to the tetons and glacier. absolutely amazing memory and this video brings it all back! love the 16mm
I use a video camera with a shotgun microphone for the majority of the scenes. Occasionally just an iPhone. Or if I don’t get any good sound I will pull from sound libraries.
Beautiful footage, Ryan! I was wondering what you do with the scan... Do you correct it only with a lift + gamma + gain process or do you adjust some things and then convert it to Rec. 709?
is this footage color graded!? or its just color that comes with the film, I don't know much about 16 mm im on a lower step rn with super 8 but... dude I loved this... I have to get a Bolex someday...
This so perfectly captures the beauty and serenity of these places. Love Wyoming and Montana - ready to go back after watching this!

Enjoyed this and reminded me of my trip out there and that tiny island in the middle of the lake.

Love that, Nebraska was the biggest surprise of the trip, the opening shots are from there, wish I had a little more time in that state.
Really gorgeous … perfect pacing and so rich. Curious how you capture your location/ambient sound?

Very nice shoot, good job man.

It’s graded from a log scan. But it’s a simple grade. It’s just shooting in the right light and letting the film is doing most of the work.
Can you share me about how you scan & develope so clearly? Did you do it yourself or by someone else. Please do share me🙏🙏🙏
The processing and scanning are done by two different labs. I don’t do them myself. Links to both labs are in the description.
@@RyanNavazioit's really beautiful. And so clean. It makes me force to like bolex 😂
