- Matthew came to the Regal Gentleman Studio for a longer 2021 hairstyle for curly hair. He used a Shawn Mendes haircut as inspiration, and Dan tailored and balanced his curly hair to give him a similar look to the curly hair of Shawn Mendes.

@@reigning._ His Volume is ideal. I have very similar hair now, I used to have very very thick hair but now im a little older it has thinned out to this guys stage and I really prefer it, thick hair can be too much maintenance
Barber has good hair too but i cant tell if its a system or not...
My hair is also same but mine volume is more better and I also want to set my long curly hairs in a good way.... 👍😊
@@lukewarmape603 mine is similar but just thicker enough so it’s impossible to manage how old were you when it thinned out a bit?

that´s what I´m mostly missing while getting a haircut, talking before what you want and not, that´s why I´m very critical because of having more bad experience or having longer gaps between cuts, like 3 months when it finally reaches what I like because they cut so much away when I say the shouldn´t
Please never take this video down. It's so easy to follow as my son has the same hair and it's the only haircut that's really suited him and it looks good everytime! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for the tutorial! I don't have the money to go to a salon for a professional haircut so these clips (no pun intended) have been very helpful for my mum. She has been giving basic barber haircuts since I was small but I know she is very skilled and talented to learn professional haircuts. I have been doing the translation for her to cut my thick, dry wavy hair. Everyone on my mum's side has wavy hair and we have always had our short haircuts. Now I am embracing my waves. Additionally, with the right shampoo, conditioner and styling products, my wavy hair has never felt happier and the same for my self-esteem too! Love your work and looking forward for more videos :)

When you show the before and after towards the end i always nod and smile like it's my hair lol, even more so in this case with Matthew who has my dream hair, and a beautiful haircut to boot :)
It looks awesome, though I would have gone slightly shorter. There was only a slight difference overall before and after the cut so I would cut it just a bit shorter for a bigger and better transformation.
NO!! Most of us with this medium length hair don't want to get it short at ALL, it is some sort of Maintenance cut he didn't want shorter hair and will not want better transformation, we want his hair to stay the same but better same if it is newly styled
One thing I've always wondered, why are combs black? You'd think it would be easier to see guides and such with a white comb on dark hair.

Got similar wavy / curly hair like this, lays real thick on back & sides mullet style & that's when it gets annoying! defo keep the curls as barbers always cut too much off & regret it! This is a great cut BTW.

I wish I had a barber like this. I really like having longer hair my hair is long right now but I need to get it shaped in order for it to look good but I know I won’t find someone as good as Dan so I’m just gonna have to cut it short unfortunately.
I’m sure you can find a nice salon who can give you a proper shaped cut for longer hairstyles. Salons deal mostly in scissor work so they know wats up wen it comes to layering etc
Nooooo! Don't cut it short if that's not what you want. Do some research and try find someone that is experienced with longer hair. Look at salons too!
My hair is long as well but not like his, my hair is as long as it reaches the mouth at the top, but I’m just getting a fade and then I leave the top as it is, and I’m styling it myself

Just wondering if the procedure of thinning volume of hair by cutting some hair strands in between could damage the adjacent hair cuticles. The cut hairs may have sharp pointed ends, so won't they scratch or damage the adjacent hair strands.
He already had the perfect hair sometimes it's the styling people need to do.
Outstanding mate. If I was still in London I'd 100% be makin the trip up to you. My hair was prob as long as his last week, went to new barber to get it cut, man didn't speak English or German (livin in germany now) and basically butchered my hair. Had showed him a photo but he barely glanced at it. He didn't seem comfortable cutting longer hair at all.
if you have long hair better to go to a salon, the barbers who are good at long hair are the ones charging £40+ not a basic skin fade all day barber. best thing is find instagram of the barber and see if theyve done any good longer styles.

I’ve just stumbled across you guys and you’re perfect I’ve got similar but longer and slightly curlier hair than this guy and it’s currently purple and has been for a while so I’m going to be taking the dye out and then will for sure be filling a form out and can be cut styled and dyed however to be honest I’m stuck 😂

I shampoo and condition twice a week. If you search for "Maui Moisture Vegan Shampoo, Conditioner and Curl Milk Set" I got it for £20 and it is amazing, best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used. The Curl Milk is great too, very good for going out.
