    Varuthidunnatjil alpam coconut grate cheythathum curry leaves. Red chilly edunnathu nallathanu.
    Coconut arakkunnthil garlic arakum. My mum used to make.
    Had it with pappadam and rice....yummy

    Recipes are really very good and brings nostalgic memories backs of village life.This muthira curry goes well with Puttu or even with kanji .My suggestion is the presentation should be by Amma to give authenticity

    Namaskaaram sir, This recipe is totally new to me. I have never heard/ seen this before. Thanks to you and your mother for introducing this. How is this consumed- I mean is this taken as an accompaniment for dosa or idiyappam or is this taken along with rice like rasam? Please do let us know.       It can be consumed certainly with Rice,and Chappathy also. Or even with Seva or Idiyappam and Idly Dosha etc if you like.

      It should be roasted first and cook after that, if you like you cook the raw Muthira also,I think soaked will not be much good,but it can also be done if you like. But this is the best way in our experience

      Pinky A No need to dry in the sun, pls use roasted muthira as it has a very different flavour and taste

      Pinky if we don't roast and make it a paste after cooking it will be a slimy liquid.. With no taste...
      Washing and drying in sun is a traditional cleaning method.. As sun drying will reduce the time for roasting..
      Old houses where designed in such way...
