That's a consequence of diminished comparative advantage. It's inevitable that developing nations are going to have an auspicious geopolitical leverage providing they're this large. China was only going to be a potential threat but a threat nonetheless expedited by amicable U.S policy toward it. Given that U.S don't permit potential threats it created the circumstances that will precipitate a conflict with even an ambivalent China. The rhetoric on Taiwan is as much a U.S contrivance designed to engender a credible pretext

Kissinger's choice was disastrous. Nixon was a bad president. He formulated the gold standard, deepened U.S. involvement in Vietnam, and then withdrew. He contributed to the overthrow of the Shah in Iran, leading to the current regime. It's tragic to see the U.S. becoming subservient to the Zionists. Nixon was among the worst, with many mistakes made by various presidents.

indeed, a significant piece as to why China reached out was the saber-rattling from the then-USSR that China felt and saw, there were plenty of border skirmishes between the 2, so best to have the US on China's 'side'. Just how much of this precipitated China's desire for good US-Sino relations is determined by scholars who have studied this point, nevertheless, there were so many other solid reasons for the unthawing of relations that the entire world benefits from today.

He set something amazing in motion - and it became an unbelievable disaster because it wasn't carefully managed.
The same thing with the collapse of the Soviet Union. It was a one-time-only opportunity to guide Russia towards values most of world shares. Nixon correctly said that democracy is a foreign concept to the Russian people, that, unless encouraged by the West, Russia would return to authoritarian rule under a system controlled by a few people.

I don’t believe Nixon would have let China continuously advance economically at our expense. Nixon demonstrated that when it was necessary, he could act as an American nationalist such as closing the gold window, imposing import tariffs. What happened was that the corporate sponsors of the foreign policy establishment got their politicians in power after Nixon and they only saw dollar signs. Nixon was no stranger to throwing a bone to corporate interests (Pepsi, Archer Daniels Midland) but nothing like what came afterwards. Clinton was the worst.

Talking about Mao, who won’t be afraid to raise goosebumps. Even his own Communist Party leaders can’t see him without chilly goosebumps, honestly say. If Zou Un Lai, Liu Shao Qi or Dung Xiao Ping were still living, they would admit why and how. If history has a fair commentary, Mao would be a very cruel dictator for sure, because he killed more than anyone for own innocent citizens who had nothing wrong, but being honest only. He tortured more than anyone for own innocent citizens who strictly say nothing wrong with. Hitler killed many Jewish peoples. Mao killed innocent own citizens to raise fears. I don’t know what is the main difference between Hitler and Mao compared with killing innocent peoples. Only lived there at the time long enough to see and feel and willing to tell the truth will be fair to be fair to say. Maybe when he was young or younger were better or not, but he was the one only cared about power and made massive farmers starving to death just by his fantasies or imaginations. However, at his older age, became so doubtful towards anyone who might kill him at the time. If he was nicer to his own comrades leaders or own citizens, he wouldn’t need to be so doubtful at all. This is why putting heart in the right place is very important.
