- 10-10-4 run this time, I cannot believe I got the pie on the second attempt. I was genuinely just doing a run for fun, just testing out my tripod. I think my pathing can still be improved but nonetheless I think I'm getting to the diner at a good pace. I might not be able to beat this time

Looking at the times I think you may have reached the machine 1 second before me. Had you got lucky on the first push you likely would have beat my time. I'm gonna add a link to your vid in my vid description.
Thanks so much for that!! I think I can still get a more efficient line to the machine if I kept trying or actually put some time into determining an ideal route. I kind of just wing it every time. I really hope more people try this!!
@@korrina Not trying to toot my own horn but watching your route vs mine I'm surprised they are so close in time. I assumed my route looked much straighter. If you refine your route a bit you're bound to get even quicker.

I've been playing waaaaay to much FO4 VR lately, and I'm thinking there has to be a faster route. You're basicaly heading to Drumlin, why not aim more towards Tenpenny farms or whatever it is and just follow the powerlines? Might be faster, might not.

The route I took goes thru Abernathy Farm. I went to the right of their house and I now think going on the left side is likely a tiny bit quicker. I pushed the button on the porta diner at 2:13 and it looks like korrina also pushed it at 2:13. I'm surprised because korrina's route looks like it should be a little slower. I'm on Xbox which caps the frame rate. Maybe korrina has the frame rate higher than 60 which lets the character move quicker or maybe both routes are more similar than they appear. Speedrunning Hobo's route of using the Sanctuary fast travel point is said to be about 5 seconds quicker and likely the best route.

@@DeAndSp It was from a video I made on the pie a year or two ago. It really wasn't too much of a hassle to go back and look at the time.

can someone explain why it's lucky?
You're generally not supposed to get the pie that early like that. It usually takes tens of attempts. With 10 luck the first try has a 2% chance of getting the pie out of the machine and with each attempt the chance goes up slightly. For me to get it on the second or third try like this was very lucky
I dog duped my luck to like 14 before and it still took me almost 20-30 minutes of fucking with one of those things to get it.
Now this is a better speedrun then sex (run) ;)
The sex speedrun is way too competitive for me to even try. I'll never be good
Why only choose 4 luck?
With max agility and endurance I can run to the port a diner as fast as possible. It sets up the run to be theoretically as fast as possible
Endurance has a big effect on how long you can sprint before having to wait for your AP to replenish. It's a trade off of how fast you want to get to the machine vs how long you want to grind for the pie to actually get grabbed.
