no one could have played Marty better than MJF.
Absolutely, nobody could pull off his mannerisms and facial expressions

@@johnlouiequilonio450 no number 1 he wasn't alive and 2 he doesn't have the right comedy
@@jessicagruskin230 you think andrew garfield can?
@@jessicagruskin230 I think that he could pull it off if there was ever a remake.
I worked on BTTF 2&3 while at MovieArt Inc. We made all the signs and props. Made all the graphics on the hover boards and town. Made all the tables inside Cafe 80’s along with the futuristic Pepsi bottles. Somewhere I have photos of a lot of the signs and props. I was fun working on these movies as I truly enjoyed the first movie.👍🏻
You should do a video of those photos if you can find them.
That’s absolutely awesome. If I could go back and watch the production of any movie I wanted, I’d pick BTTF series over anytbing.
very cool man and u have a story to tell ur great great great grandparents when they are a baby lol❤
There's that word again, 'heavy.' Why is everything so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with earth's gravitational pull?
Technologyyyyyyyyyyyy [%$!@# yeah!] Also im like 1000000 years late lmao
I think the term "heavy" in the movie is like saying "that's a lot to take in"
Crazy Dragon damn that’s heavy
literally one of my favorite lines from the trilogy🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Cammakesithappen Great Scott!
Back to the Future is one of my all time favorite movies. The cast was superb. I cannot imagine anyone else but Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown and Thomas F. Wilson as Biff.
There isn't a better Marty McFly than Michael J. Fox
this is why they can't reboot the films, somehow they menage casting Michael j Fox, the best and the only Marty Mcfly
Likewise no better Emmett Brown than Christopher Lloyd. This combo made the whole trilogy.
@@josephrutha1060 Yes. People remember Fox, but forget what Lloyd added to the film. He is the PERFECT Doc Brown. From his weird body language, his fast way of speaking, and his chemistry with Marty, he was incredible. Like Abbott and Costello, McFly and Doc Brown are a great team.
True that
I mean Really 😊 What we're they doing 😁😏👍✌
Another fun fact: Delorean is actually what spawned the Entrapment Clause in US Law! Synopsis: During the 70's Oil embargo and gas prices tanked the economy, Delorean wasn't selling his cars and was near bankrupt; he needed roughly 300,000 to stay afloat. Side note: The late 70's early 80's, The DEA was cracking down on the influx of drugs coming in and thought the Delorean car was a joke - no way could it have been as successful in sales as it was reporting. The DEA was certain Delorean had to have been dealing in drugs. Knowing he needed 300,000 to save his company, they devised a sting.
They approached Delorean, as undercover, to pay him to literally drive the proverbial van back from Mexico for $300,000. Delorean repeatedly said no. This went on for several months and each time, Delorean said no. Finally, on the brink of losing his company, he caved, and agreed to do it, knowing it would be a 1 time thing that could save his company. DEA swooped in and arrested him.
At trial, the judge threw it out citing Entrapment; that although it was a crime, the DEA pressured, bullied, and enticed him to perform an illegal act which he normally wouldnt do (and in fact, was documented several times that he did say no).
So hence, the first usage of Entrapment as a defense in a criminal case in US. Neat!

The story of John DeLorean is actually pretty sad. Growing up i heard he "got caught smuggling drugs into the united states". that wasnt it at all. The DEA targeting him didnt actually "DO" anything. no drug kingpins were caught, drug smuggling wasnt affected. all it did was cripple his company. they found a desperate man (but morally pretty straight) and decided to crush him.
I think John was a brilliant engineer and "ahead of his time" (small pun intended). "IF" his company had made it, i dont think we would have waited so long for a company like Tesla to set the bar higher.
tellurye Damn you used sources for a youtube comment😂
Woah..that’s heavy
I applaud this👏
They made a movie and documentary about this . Is this the source of your information?

It's spelled "gigawatts", but pronounced "jigawatts" according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This is also how I learned to pronounce "giga" when I took chemistry in college. The scientist they talked to was right.
www.dictionary.com/browse/gigawatt It's acceptable either way. like G(J)if (another war was accidentally started that day.)
Back to the Future is a classic! It's so crazy no studio wanted to back it, but having an original story is always risky.
Scoop of the Crispy Disney didn’t wanna do because of the scene where Marty’s mom kisses him. Yet the top of the little mermaid castle on the cover looks like a penis, guess they chose a penis over incest, go figure!😂😂😂😂😂
lots of the best movies are that way. and some of the biggest flops have production companies waiting in line. i guess the bottom line is that they dont seem to really know what they are doing.
@@spencerphilippinedream3706 Blazing saddles is another one like that. The people who make the decisions are just too different from the common people, that they have no idea what most people find funny or entertaining. These people are wealthy, have been brought up in a sheltered environment, are not in touch with the reality most people live and as a result, have what most people would call a dull personality and no sense of humor. That is why they just don't get it, especially when it comes to comedy. It is also part of why they use test groups now, because they have figured they don't click with the rest of society.
@@mephistounderwood4917 "Blazing Saddles" is one film that could never be made today in Hollywood. Today's comedy films suck ass.

I really loved this episode of he man and the quest for the sword but at the end of the cartoon was very much a true story about friend ship &intelligence !rlb
One of my favourite bits of trivia is that at the start of the movie it's called Twin Pines Shopping Centre but then Marty runs down a very small tree when he first travels to the past. Then at the end of the movie when we are back in the future it's called Lone Pine Shopping Centre. So cool!
3:44 I never knew Fox was 22 while filming the movie...I thought he looked like 16 or 17
Poods not poops
I thought they first said he was 23, then 22.
That's because whenever teenaged characters are in movies in TV shows they're rarely played by actual teenagers; the actors cast are usually in their early 20's. It's been done for so long that people are just conditioned to believe that these actors in their early 20's look like teenagers.
@@peterpiper831 MJF was born in June '61, production of the movie began November '84 which would make him 23 at the time of the shooting. The guy in the video got it wrong.

16:30 The 47 year old Lorraine McFly looks much worse than the real life 50 year old Lea Thompson. True.
Only if you're talking about how Lorraine McFly looked BEFORE Marty changed history. Also, that Lorraine wouldn't have gotten cosmetic surgery like Lea Thompson did in real life even if she could afford it.

I was 18 and just out of HS when my father bought a Delorean in late 81 iirc. Nothing but problems but a friend and I actually went to the BTTF in the D and other than a few glances, NOBODY freaked out. Eventually sold it and in 2007 bought one almost identical to my father's. Now EVERYWHERE I go I get swarmed. I bought the trilogy just to be able to be able to talk informed as I never watched 2-3. Amazing legs the movie has and is more popular than ever as is the car.
With an ending like the one they had...just how could you NOT have a sequel,am I right??
Im glad there will never be a reboot of back to the future. Who ever does it would just mess it up.

Red, the bum on the California Raisins bench and Red Thomas, the man running for Mayor in 1955 are not the same person. Not only are they portrayed be different actors (George Flower plays the Bum. I thought "88" mph was chosen because they look like Infinity symbols.
Same
+Peter Young I like that explanation.
Blitzball Ace oh god the 8 does look like an infinite symbol
I also thought the same thing about 88 and the infinity symbol.
88 mph actually has scientific influence. However, it's in the realm of theoretical science. Travelling through time requires opening a wormhole or portal to another time. Wormholes are unstable and can only remain open for a fraction of a second. Therefore, the entire length of the car must pass through within that partial second. So the speed of 88 mph is the minimal required speed to travel the length of the car in the alotted time.
Fact 108: Huey Lewis was the judge at the Battle of the Bands (as mentioned in video at about 6:43) but the rest of the group (The News) was Marty's back-up band!!!

I'm so glad that BttF producers are smart enough to stop anyone from making a reboot, remake or any more sequels. Now if other producers of classics would think the same way.
Yeah cuz I bet if they made one it would be too political and SJW and have female protags (Not like anything really wrong with that last one it depends how they write it).
Maybe it's a coincidence, but:
Marty tells George that he's "Darth Vader", George later is succesfully writing novels about it.
George = George Lucas

+OrangeSlimeGames no, it's HEAVY
All those writers/directors were friends. It was a nice homage/inside joke to Lucas. plus, Lucas started writing and thinking about Star Wars while attending high school :)
+Gigidag77 Marty needs to go back in time again to prevent the prequels.
In the novelization he uses several character references when he visits George McFly as " Darth Vader" His spaceship is the BattleStar Galactica

Fascinating facts about the movie I never grow tired of watching. Back to the Future I is THE most perfect movie ever made in every respect - one that every budding author, script-writer, cinematographer and sound track composer should watch. Throughout the film, every subsequent scene perfectly tied into the previous one before it and after it.
Like most trilogies, it was originally going to a be a one off, but it was so popular, they stretched it to a trilogy, as with Star Wars, the Matrix, Pirates of the Carribean and likely a thousand others.
The guitar Marty plays in the movie is a Gibson ES-345, which wasn't made until 1958.
It went back in time !

I read your comment first, and then I went and read the postcard. LOL
I paused it read it and it answered the questions I probably would ask lol
I met Tom Wilson a few years ago. I do stand-up and when he came to our club, he did a song called 'stop asking the questions' where he basically answers questions fans ask him all the time about BTTF , in a comedic way of course. I talked to him after the show in the lobby, telling him that song was pretty cool, then I said, "I wouldn't have asked you anything about Back to the future. I would ask you about the video game Wing Commander 3.", in which he is the live action character Maniac, along with Mark Hamill. He was stunned that I even brought it up, saying 'Wow! You really are a nerd."

It sounds corny but every time I need to change the course of my life and affect the future for myself as well as the ripple effect. I remember what Marty says in the movie; "If you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything"
I agree it's very inspirational. When George McFly finally gets the courage to stand up to Biff and knock him out, the whole audience in the theater cheered. It's gotta be one of the top 5 moments in film history.
Doc says that! I also like "Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one"
That always sounded like something Tony Robbins might say.
I also like how they call attention to the "make like a tree" line, when old Biff says that it's actually: "Make like a tree, and leave."
I absolutely LOVE that you included your parents' anniversary. That's great!
Thanks for this video, one thing to note is that #34 - The word Gigawatt is pronounced that way in many languages (English included) in fact in Italian the word 'gigabytes' is not pronounced "ghe-gha-bytes" because it comes from the word Giga (giant). Word pronunciation is king of a grey area because it depends where you learn the word, a similar example of that is aluminum and aluminium, which are now both accepted to describe the same thing.
all 3 back to the future movies are my absolute favorite movies of all time, i can’t even pick which one i just love all of them and michael j fox is my favorite actor who i also happen to be in love with!!!
Fact #85 is mind-blowing. Knowing in retrospect that all of those famous films and shows used that same lot, I can truly "see" it.
Fun Fact #95 at 19:30. The DeLorean was only produced from 1981 to 1983 (9200 units) and The DeLorean Motor Company folded in 1982 after John DeLorean was arrested for selling cocaine to try to keep the company afloat. Car production was a year ahead so the 83 cars were built in 82. DeLorean wrote the note in 85, three years after the company closed.

Dude..... You're messing me up. I didn't know someother dude played Marty. This is my all time favorite movie. Perfect movie IMO. I've been watching it before I knew English.
I REALLY want a remake but worried it could somehow be the most depressing thing I experience
Nah...Zemeckis ain't gonna let it happen. Ig anything a sequel if Fox never was never stricken with Parkinsons. It we bee kind of disrespectful to recast Marty knowing this is the movie that made him a superstar and his career was cut short by his disease. I can't see anyone else playing Marty that role was made for him and his performance was legendary. Then there's the matter of the car. They would certainly change the car from a Delorean in an update and that original car is also so unique and legendary as as well. You just mess with that kind of majic and perfection.
It has aged well, doesn't need a remake
They might have ruled out sequels, but in my opinion, the Telltale game series "Back to the Future" is just as good. For me, it felt like they stayed true to the characters and overall concept of the series
Why do the Oscars never recognize masterpieces like this? My favorite in this list is the two actors named Lloyd - Harold and Christopher - who filmed scenes hanging from a clock. Here 's one I would add to this list. The Delorean is a close cousin of the time traveling "sleigh" from the "The Time Machine." In fact there is a Back to the Future trailer with Michael J. Fox actually sitting in the H.G. Wells Time Machine from that picture.
The oscars actually did recognize this movie, the first one at least, they nominated it for best original screenplay
Really enjoyed this! Nice work. I knew some of these but you taught me some new bits about one of our favorite movies. Actually, the movie poster is hanging in our "TV/Movie" themed den as we speak (along with The Blues Brothers, Casablanca, and Fried Green Tomatoes!)
Michael J Fox was perfection.
That was a blast to watch and listen to!
Thank you! Please do two more for the sequels!
Thank you for answering a very long question I always had about this film. The "To be continued" at the end of the film. When I was a kid I absolutely loved this film mainly for my passion of cars, and technology. And if you recall there was a very long gap between BF1 and BF2. So much that when I recalled seeing this "To be continued" I always wondered how long they would take come out with part 2. They took so long and after I saw the film a few more times on TV I didn't see this "To be continued again". I knew in my heart I had seen it and yet everyone around me thought I was crazy for imagining it. You simply answered why it wasn't on some versions of it's release, and at the same time explained why it took so long for part 2 to come out since it was never originally planned. Thanks for this. "One thing I'd like you to cover, how was that Nike Self-Tying laces scene completed in BF2.
Parts 2 and 3 were also filmed at the same time, so that might have attributed to the delay.
I agree
Jedi Gill Gaming bud.....as a kid I would fast fwd the tape hoping part 2 would show up........I had to wait tiill 89 to c it lol
The sequels were delayed because they most likely weren’t written yet. Was originally setup to be a one and done film instead of a franchise.
Great job by whoever created this fact-filled video!! AWESOME!!!! Much appreciated.
It is not possible to forget you. I never get tired of watching your movies over and over again.I wish I had a photo with you. love and greetings from Turkey.
When Marty jumps of the hoverboard into the water in 2015 one of the hover-boarders who flies off actually hits the pillar and almost died.
+The Chicken PKMN True, Chicken - That would be one for the BTTF 107 sequel! David
A man in Massachusetts owns one of the DeLoreans and I was able to see it with props at Granite Con (Manchester, New Hampshire's Comic Con)
where in mass?
Tobey Jay Don't remember. I saw it in New Hampshire at a Comic Con
No way my piano teachers dads friend owns that car! Seriously
+William Craig
replica car.
***** Swear to god it was the original.
This is so AWESOME !! thanks for uploading. Remarkable!!
You guys forgot to mention that Nov 5th is also a time travel date that is used in the movie "Time After Time", which coincidentally stars Mary Sternbergen and was released BEFORE the very first BTTF film ever came out.
What an awesome video! Some of these I knew but a majority of these facts were new to me, such as the Hill Valley set was used in a lot of other movies! I'm actually going to watch Bruce Almighty this afternoon now because of this!
Did George McFly voice this? :D
Marco Murkrow yeah
lmao hell yeah
Marco Murkrow no it’s not sadly
Pretty close
So I just watched this and I was a little surprised to see...well not see mentioned the scene in which Eric Stoltz is very visible behind Michael J Fox right after Biff crashes his car into the manure truck. Stories about him taken off the movie I think could not have been as bad as reported for him to be willing to do a cameo take with the new lead.
Awesome!!! I had not noticed the Lone Pine sign till now. Thank you.
My favoriet movies
Back to the future 1
Back to the future 2
Back to the future 3
56 is not true. Michael improved that and said they're not the same person. especially because Red Thomas would've been wayyyy to old to be living in 1985.
Proof?

+castmemberzack you do realize people on wikia always changes info right?
5327indarkness Go watch the commentary then! Your proof is in that!
+castmemberzack you just wont belive that your wrong
51. There’s a fan theory doc knows what’s gonna happen and that Marty is coming back so to prevent some sort of loop he sends that Marty to his death by sending them to some random dead time. Idk the whole theory but it’s been denied by Lloyd
Facts 100 is my favorite detail of the movie when the Mall sign changes.
I love BTTF! I can't wait for Wednesday! My school's having a BTTF day! Squee!
Ice Bear wants hoverboards.
Why? Whats so special in Wednesday is something going on?
Jake DaDerp Wednesday October 21st, 2015 is the EXACT day Marty and Doc traveled to in "Back to the Future Part II".
+Jake DaDerp lbv
Awe, lucky! My school didn't even acknowledge BTTF (aside from a few students aside from myself). :(
Honestly, nobody could do Marty better than Michael J. Fox, in my opinion BTTF is probably my third or close second favourite film to be made, and it would be taboo to replace him.
But think about this, if it was a different actor, nobody could beat that actor but I can agree, Micheal J Fox was the best.
I caught the refrigerator thing when I saw Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in the theater as Gale and Zemeckis talk about that idea on the DVD commentary of Back to the Future.
My idea for a Backtothefuture sequel trilogy is as follows: It is fourty years since the events in the three movies.
DocBrown's house have been abadonned for
fourty years and is in a shabby state.Three youths who live nearby goes there to clean up the place and make it ready for a sale.
While they are cleaning the house they find the scematics for the delorean and how the fluxcapasator makes timetravels possible.
They also find a video which shows one of the youths mother(possible Jennifer Parker)and she looks totally different than she looks today.
the youths also sees DocBrown holding a newspaper where Biff has the Grey's sport allmanac in his pocket from 1955.
They decide to build a new Delorean from DocBrown's scematics.
When they are finnished they decide to bring the Grey's sport allmanac(which is in common sale in 2022) with them.
They goes back to 1955 and knows allready that MartyMcFly detained JenniferParkers father when he took the caseboard apart in the first movie to use it as
a regular board. The youths prevent this from happening by giving MartyMcFly another board to stand on while flying away from Biff.
They also gives their fathers the Grey's sport allmanac.
When they comes home they all live in wealth and luxury
and JenniferParker looks like she looked in the first movie(played by ClaudiaWells or a lookalike)and it gives a happy ending to the first movie xD
In the second movie three neighbours to the first movies aganoists who are envious discover videos that show everything was different just a few days
ago. They start stalking the three youths and finds out about the Delorean timemachine. They also finds out about the Grey's sport allmanac. They decide
to steal both the delorean and bring with them the Grey's sport allmanac. In 1955 they gives the Grey's sport allmanac to their grandparents. They then
goes home to a life in wealth and luxury.
In the third and last movie, our three antagonists suddenly wakes up and see everything has changed around them. They see the three
neighbour youth now living in wealth and luxury and suspect that they has stolen the delorean and gone back to 1955.
They decide to go back themselves and change the events that the three neighbours have caused.
But there they meet a young DocBrown that warns them about making any more changes. He tells them he was contacted by his future
selves and that he told him to warn eventual other timetravellers.
Fact 108. The character of Biff Tannon was originally inspired by the writers of the real estate mongule Donald Trump.
Good job on the video.
+moonport1 Thanks, moonport! David Levin
Not true. Only the alternate85 version of the Biff character was (for the second film).
GREAT SCOTT their not going to remake this what a relief!
Josh Akers Films too bad for the ghostbusters they got the remake, they better not remake BTTF if they did then they better get ready for any angry mob
Awesome video. I have seen these movies some many times and I never realized the name of the mall changed in part 1!
Such a great video thanks so much all great info🙂
I saw Back To The Future several times in the summer of 1985 (same with The Goonies). But as many times as I saw it, I don’t recall whether or not it said “To Be Continued...” in the theatre release. Regardless since it took four years to make a sequel I remember thinking it’s great as a one off. It could have ended differently and perhaps curb some sequel thoughts.
I do! I saw all three in the movies.
It was there.
It says here they made the three back to back.
I still have the original tape that goes with a VCR
Me too, in that special bigger video rental shop cover.
They are called VHS tapes...
@@MrPAULONEAL You beat me to it!
Szab_0 very cool 😎⭐️
What's a VCR? One of those contraptions from 1955, huh?
In Australia the theatrical release did have "To Be Continued..." at the end of the film.
Tab still exists and is still sold in stores....I still drink it from time to time.
I stopped watching after that "fact".
