    Very nice. Smashed it out of the park again! I’m gonna have to buy these models now. Watching your videos has improved my ability to “control” the contrast. I still have to get better with mixing the medium contrasts with color.

      As a pro tip. Use a brush you can control it with but also with the brush you intend to use so the mixture is right for the tool. I use a M Layer most of the time so i do most of my mixing with the M Layer brush!

    Thank you for the guide !
    Do you completely built your valaran lumineth units before painting ?
    I’ve been building wardens, sentinels, rider and a cathalar but i never finish them because i’m afraid of not getting able to reach some spot with a brushes.
    I have seen that you don’t glue the riders shield before painting. Is that ok completely build the other units ?
    (I’m a noob at model painting, the lumineth is my first army)

      @Warhipster  3 роки тому +1

      You are very welcome! Yes I fully build most of my minis however I have left off the shields on the Dawnriders and I've also left them off the Wardens I'm yet to paint. Just because they are so massive and it makes life a lot easier to leave them off, Otherwise typically I do build the entire mini. The trick is having a steady hand and a good tip on the brush to negotiate those trickier areas usually!

    What camera are you using? The video quality is amazing!

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому

      I use an iPhone 11 and set it to 1080p 60fps for filming. That might be sacrilege though so don't tell any of the camera aficionados out there :D

    What brushes do you recommend using with contrast paint? I’ve just been using my cheaper synthetic brushes for it, but was curious about your opinion.

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому

      So I use mostly Citadel M Layer and S Layer brushes for my contrast work and this is because they’re big enough that they don’t take forever to apply but not so big that they absorb way more paint than we need. If you have too much paint on the brush that’s how the blotchyness can happen and if you don’t have enough that’s how the scratchiness happens!
