The Golden era was so ....Damn i cry.😢😢😢 The creative edge & original hip-hop music for MY ERA will never again be matched. My forefathers brought me here. 50 years of hip hop. And they said it would die. FOH. Hip hop is forever. It will never die. Pimp approved. Out.
The Golden Age Of Hip Hop from the 80's to the 90's and even in the early 2000's. It was something great going on and I'm so glad i was one of the B-Boys to witness it!!!!!
@@JJ-mm9uf Lol true! The overall quality of music has realistically decreased, tho' there's an EXTREME few artists today that seem to be decent.. .....If they get upset, it's because deep down they know it's true, oh well!!😁
It's may 2013 and I saw a dude dressed just like him today including the red hair and flat top... It took me back and I had to come home and google this video!!!
OH BOY! This is back in the day when I used to record MANY videos on VHS. OMG! I used to love Redhead. SMH. Can't believe so many years have passed. ~Jesus is Lord -know HE loved you and wants you to know Him as Savior. Blessings!~
Like all old school hip-hop rap music old school hip-hop mix music old school hip-hop 90s music old school hip-hop REDHEAD KINGPIN THE F.B.L. WE ROCK THE M
@iluvmyboba Haha! You are probably right.. I am a scaredy cat!!! but then again i don't really believe in marriage... yet ;o) The old school joints are belong to all those like you that appreciate it. Inspiring it is that you and others like you love the oldies but goodies as well. Seems there might still be hope for humans after all!!!
+Kim Martin Wish I could get behind you, but when the gangstas came in, diversity in rap started dying a slow death. They tapped into the worst in our community, made a fortune and set the example for everyone else who wanted to rap, to follow.
+pbase36 soooooooooooooo very true. also, before gangsta rap came, our culture wasn't considered a commodity, and thus, largely ignored. we were able to stay self contained and that's why we were able to be diverse---we kept the culture pure because we kept the GREED out...
Kim Martin sure the quality of the music was better AND it was for the most part, actually political and wasn't just a bunch of fake posturing for $$$. but when it started selling and it became clear and evident that A LOT of $$$ could be made with that particular sub-genre, it took over and ruined the culture (diversity). if we would've keep that ish on the, "mom and pop" level on Ruthless and 4th & By Way and Sleeping Bag the way we had it AND not allowed it to become the dominate voice of the genre, then we'd still have a better handle on it---but it's human nature to want the power that $$$ can bring...
@iluvmyboba I could paint my car sliver and we could imagine its a delorean! Maybe we could even go back in time without breakin the speed limit! Old school rap still rockin it!!
Bro... I'm laughing at the "tapes" you made reference to. RETRO!!! I was around 11 or 12 at this time frame as well. Memorex cassettes with the yellow, magenta and blue were the best tapes ever. The best mixes were on those as well. These were the days... "Reminisce over you my God!" LOL PEACE!
Anybody know the name of the rap video Kingpin is in where he's like carried in like a king to the head of the big round table of about 12 other famous rappers, all rappin' political knowledge? Came out late 80's.
Dag, kennylavish, you are ALL about old school Hip-Hop. How's about we get married? 'Cause I'm all about you right now. Oh, and about the whole marriage thing. We're gonna need a Delorean so we can go back to the late 80'--early 90's and stay there. If you can manage that, then I'm all yours.
Wth happened to them? Their first album was fiya. Idk what the hell happened on their second album. They just disappeared. We need an Unsung on them ASAP.
You had to be careful buying music in the 90s! They’d drop a hot remix single like this one. You go buy the tape cuz of the single & it wasn’t the same video single! So then you had to go buy the single, cuz the one on the tape was different. But they didn’t put remix on the video! Awesome money tactic! 😅 Both versions of this song knocked though. I wasn’t mad at all!
Oh, yeah. That was a constant thing back in the late 80s early 90s. And sometimes their were 3 versions. If you really liked the song, you had the LP version, the remix and the friggin 12 inch. You're right, definitely a money grab.
LOL yes! I just told this story on reddit, my classmate when we were in 7th grade comes in on Monday morning mad bcuz LL's Walking With A Panther album was wack. Now I already knew this bc my brother got it from Columbia House for a penny (anyone remember that?) right when it dropped, way before he put out the remix to Jingling Baby, but my classmate had only ever heard the remix version and that's what prompted him to buy the album. I'm just like...well sorry, wish you would've asked me, i would've told you to save your money 😂 But anyway, i didn't mind the original version of this. Yeah I prefer the remix, but original isn't bad either.
THAT BEAT.....THOSE LYRICS.....THE DANCE MOVES.......THE VIBE !! Truly this was the BEST era of hip hop!! THE BEST!!!
Man, I miss these days in hip hop. This was a great era for the culture.
It Never Be Like This Again People Say Early 2000s was peak maybe for lyrical rappers but for the Culture This Is The Peak
