I think a lot of the comparisons to 2pac comes from the fact DMX had the same kind of energy and presence on stage and in person, there was just something special about them both and there was never a feeling of them putting on an act or being fake etc. In saying that I lost a lot of respect for DMX just the way he went out and how his own choices hurt himself and the people around him. But I will always have respect for who he once was. I hope they will one day make a movie of his life that does him justice, so he can be remembered for the time his flame burned real bright

Love the convo, Damian, and stop being greedy. Sad he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. He was one of the hottest rappers ever right out the gate.

No one rappers was rapping or performing like this. Smh. He had 97-99 locked
